I like the front view around the twisties. Looked like fun. Great tires by the looks. Cheers for the shout out. Bloody idiots alright for driving off the road. Glad you had your helmet down. Pisses me off drivers using there phone. Another great vlog. Loving it!
Cheers mate, always love punching it through the corners on the majestic beast haha. Yeah you notice it alot more when riding hey, muppets. Thanks for watching 🤙
Recently replaced the tyres on my Softail Custom. I've tried a few different tyres and found the best suited to my bike are Pirelli Night Dragons or Avon Cobras. Due to a shortage they weren't available in the sizes I wanted so I went for Metzeler M888 Ultra Marathons. I'm really impressed with them and would definitely fit them again! PS. Your Aussie sunshine brightens up a cold Scottish winter lol!
Oh wow that's cool, I'll have to check them out I'm always keen to try out a new tyre. I bloody loves my M888 mate it was a cracking tyre Metzler rock in my opinion. That's great to hear, hahaha I'm sorry the weather is miserable over there. Thanks for watching 🤙
New shoes make a big difference, bike maintenance makes a big difference. Should have been a reckoning with the guy kicking up stones, full face helmets, the way to go man. Nicely done video.
Definitely mate, this time I'll maintain my pressure more and maybe less offroad and spinning 🤣🤣 yeah I have composed myself pretty well I'd say. Loving the new lid, been making sure I only leave it open at low speeds. Thanks for watching 🤙
Hello Matt! That smile on your face tells it all! So glad you got that rear tie replaced! Your Fat Bob is going to ride like a new motorbike after you get the front suspension done! Just don't get too crazy on the twisties! Don't want to see you get hurt. Your Fat Bob sounded so good when you were going through the twisties! Loved those 3 cows standing in the field watching you tearing up the road. Haha In addition, it looks like that new helmet of yours is working out very well. Yep... a cooler jacket is something that will have you feeling much better when you're out tearing up the roads! Be safe and looking forward to that new front suspension on the Fat Bob!!! John...
Hey John!!! Hahaha it sure does mate the bike feels a million bucks. Haha the cows were paid actors apparently lol. Beautiful views up that way, always love hitting the twisties but don't worry I'll be careful. That's exactly right when you get too hot I start to feel crook so ill be getting a summer jacket asap. Thanks for watching 🤙
Cheers stu, oh awesome bro nothing better than lunch at ricks! How good are them mist things lol great idea. Hope he crushed it mate 🙏 thanks for watching 🤙
I saw you at Gun Coffee Yandina last weekend Matt😄!! Agree dude, good tires, suspension and brakes before power upgrades... Arn't we so freaking lucky as riders on the Sunny Coast. So many wicked routes all within easy reach 🌟 Blessed! Ride well dude, see you out there✌
Oh really ! Bloody should of came and said hello haha. Hope I didn't have a resting B**ch face lol. We are so blessed to live here that's for sure, I agree awesome roads and beaches and scenery at our back door. Thanks for watching 🤙
After you last video I've cough up & ordered rear shocks. Can't wait for them to arrive. Looking forward to your spring upgrade as was thinking of doing the same. If you and the misses ever want to ride to Yeppoon your welcome to stay with us.
@craiggrech7434 oh hell yeah mate that's bloody awesome, the bike will feel brand new again or even better ! I'm keen to start playing around with the settings etc yeah I'm interested to see how much the front changes the bike too. Oh thanks mate I really appreciate that 🧡🤙
I have Ktech fork cartridge kit in my fatbob. Night and day difference. Much better than just adding a spring rate change. It’s basically a modern fork now with adjustable dampening. Depends on your budget I guess. I wouldn’t touch the rear shocks until you do the forks as you will find they may be ok with the stiffer front as it will balance the weight out more and put more pressure on the rear.
Cheers for the feedback mate, I'll mention that to farrows and see what he recommends. That's exactly right I'm definitely on a limited budget since the suspension and the new rear tyre etc. The pockets are hurting. Maybe I could hold off for abit. That's a good point thanks for that mate & thanks for watching 🤙
I have a pair of resurgence jeans and love them too... check out the merlin chigwell lite, vented jacket, or their shenstone with some D30 ghost Armourin it... nothing better than a seriously vented jacket for the Queensland summer mate.
Oh hell yeah mate, that's good to hear. Okay sounds good mate I'll look into that. Haha that's for sure mate, so bloody hot already. Thanks for watching 🤙
I always say suspension is the first mod. Paired with good tyres and you can dial in the ride. Keep the rubber down! Stay happy, stay healthy and stay safe, brother.
Definitely agree with you mate, just makes everything so much smoother and more in control unstead of sloppy bouncing around ! Cheers mate. Thanks for watching 🤙
I was going to suggest upgrading the springs, instead of moving the fork tubes. Also if you are getting work done in a shop, like the rear tyre today, remove your panniers & leave them at home. Old mate might have been liking, subscribing & commenting on this video when he showered you in rocks?
Think we might do both, every inch counts haha 😉 we will see how we go. I asked if he needed me to removed them but he said it was all good. Hahaha imagine 😅🤣 thanks for watching 🤙
Haha I've reached out before for advice to a new youtuber but got nothing back. He's a busy man and he likes to ride solo apart from parry. I guess I mainly like to ride solo aswell so it's all good. One day a collab would be cool. Thanks for watching 🤙
Hey mate, yeah It made a huge difference putting this fairing on. It still hits me from the nose up but I don't get any or much buffeting. Wind is fully off my chest which was the main part to save the back pain. Way better on longer trips, hope that info helps. I have a video/review on my channel when I purchased it the size screen I went with etc.
What's apex mate ? Farrows is close to me and they are super knowledgeable and they ride their bikes 24/7 so I trust in what they do. I guess I can't put a price on quality service. Thanks for watching 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley Apex Motorcycles Tyres .. Next to Biker Life, thats where I get my Tyres.. I try to do my own work on my bike, if its something I cant or dont know, then I probably go to Farrows .. Although Harley is closer, but Farrows is better work.
@Gnarly_Harley I haven't been there for years mate ... There's a River/Gorge in Crows Nest National Park. When I was there for the first time in my life I saw a Platypus in the wild in the creek ... It even mentions it on The Crows Nest National Park Website! Cheers mate 👍😁🤘 Beanie
Hey mate, yeah I run 38, 36 seems to work the treat for me also. I was running alot lower in the rear but it got chewed out quick haha. I don't need all that extra grip on a harley lol
