My top and bottom premolars dont meet. The bottom one is slightly aligned (rotated) towards the front side of the mouth....any idea what elastics could fix that? (Was about to get debraced until I noticed the gap on both sides!)
It could be so many things- your doctor needs to take an xray to evaluate it- it might be skeletal, it might be a habit, it might be just an interference like a high filling
Hi, I have been wearing class 2 elastics in light size (3/16) for 2 weeks now, and my teeth are totally used to them now (it doesn't hurt anymore), can I start using Medium size (1/4) to make things go faster ? Because I assume Medium will apply more force and give more results faster since it's thicker ?
you need to ask your dentist about this- I am not sure it really depends on many factors including the wires and brackets your dentist chose
My dentist gave me 4,5oz 3/16’’ 4,8mm rubber bands for my braces (overbite). I feel literally NOTHING when I wear them. Is it normal ?
The rubber bands are really thin..
What orientation of elastics do you have and what wires are you wearing?
great video.!- i think I know where the problem is.- The dentist that is doing my teeth is making wear elastics on teeth that don't have braces,,,so my question to you is---can elastics be placed on teeth that dont have braces.???--thank you.!
That's strange!! Sorry not sure I'd go to another dentist for a 2nd opinion
how would you fix posterior open bite. it means I have gaps on both sides of my back denture. I don't have open bite in the front of my teeth
I have literally dozens of videos on this subject if you just search by keyword: posterior open bite! But there are lots of causes so your dentist will need to help you find the cause so that they can find the solution
I have triangles just like the upper right image (upper canine, lower canine and premolar), but they are 5/16", is that normal?? First elastics I'm wearing on my treatment. I have a thick wire (at 1 year 4 months of treatment btw)
are they tight in your mouth? or baggy? What strength? (medium 4oz, heavy 6oz?)
They seem loose! I don't feel them unless I open my mouth and I haven't felt any discomfort at all on those teeth, which is suspicious since my teeth always get a bit sore after every tightening. As for the strength, they gave me a baggie with all sorts of check boxes but they weren't filled in so, yeah... @@Straightsmilesolutions

My orthodontics told me to wear my Elastic in X SHAPE i m confused what's that for?? I mean it will work on not please do reply 🙏
In the front? Or in the back? I think that's just like a box elastic- I don't do it but I've seen it done

hello can impacted wisdom teeth extraction helps with very mild class 3 molars? i have class 3 molars with class 1 flaring canine teeth, i went to an ortho and she wanted the treatment plan to be 2 upper premolars extractions and 2 lower impacted wisdom teeth extractions, and we wll use class 3 elastcs to retract my lower teeh
It might and it might now- sorry can't answer without doing an exam and seeing xrays
i got elastics for my overbite that the braces caused and the elastics opened the gap i had between my canines and my incisors again. when i put my elastics on it’s pulling my canine back is this normal? before i went to my appointment they had put powerchains on the 6 front teeth to close my gaps bc i had overlapping teeth before i got braces so they caused gaps but i don’t get why they took off my power chain just for the gaps to open up again and they put a full power chain on my bottom teeth when there’s one tooth that is still not straight it’s crowded
Well- yes but that wouldn't happen if there was no spaces or if your dentist did proper anchorage- or were in a heavy enough wire maybe that's the plan? Ask your dentist
My face is completely ruined due to extraction and braces 😢.
