Thanks for the tips! That template really helps to make straight holes across the back! I've seen a lot of guitars where they're not perfect. It sticks out like a sore thumb when they're not!👍😎🎸🎶
I'm surprised that given the precision you are going for in the smaller holes that you wouldn't use your forstners bit in the drill press with the depth already determined for the ferrules

I use a plunge router to drill string thru holes, nice hole and a better cut than a wood bit, I have collets and spiral cut bits from a CNC router
Thanks for the video. What size drill bit did you use for the first pass through? Looks like 1/8” but hard to tell watching the video.
What's difference between the 4 holes both sides, and two holes only one side?
