This live version makes me cry every time. Sooooo much emotions in her voice and she conveys them so well that I feel them myself, to the point its actually painfull to listen to.

This is my personal opinion only for this song.
I think the Live Ver. is much better than the regular music video, because it shows off Ado's charm.

I never thought that I'll speak something like this but her screaming are freaking piece of art )) Ado is an amazing gorgeous and a biggest surprise this year for me. I bump into her song recently and I hooked by her voice. She melted me down completely)
I thought this song was more of a "remake" or "reboot" than a cover.
Great performance and at the same time I love that the audience is holding back their voices because they want to hear the song!
i saw someone on chris liepe's analysis of the live performance pointing out how at the end, she splits how she sings the phrase "wasurenaide" or "don't forget (me)" into the clean "wasure/forget", and the harsh "naide/don't", and the contrast of it making it sound like she's begging you with everything she has not to forget. and now i will be thinking about that every time i listen to that part of the live version
finally you reacting, ado is amazing, i love her incredible and unique versatility, she can sing anything she wants to, from metal to upbeat pop, rap, emotional sad, epic, slow comfy, techno... its just incredible
and the fact she can switch so quickly between different modes, registers of voice, pitches, timbres and that she combines a lot of vocal techniques in not only one song but one phrase
she made justice with the cover to the original song, personally i think ill listen even more to ado's cover than tk's original unravel
i really like the more heavy style ado and the rest of the team has given to the cover

Something about the scream at 8:29 hits different, it's like she screamed up through her vibrato it has the craziest texture like the unraveling the world one took my breath away but when I heard this one I was like woah that was cool as fuck
Same here! I love TK, but in this version Ado did an amazing job, she deserves all the praise... now, in the instrumental part, imo it was lacking a little bit on the guitars, and that's where TK outshines most japan guitarists.
about the show it was 2 hours while Ado sing 23 songs. Unravel was 7th !
As people been saying her live version is better but both are great regardless. Have you seen that she is planning a world tour early next year? Could be the chance to see her live.
if you can get tickets. the london sets both sold out in seconds. couldnt get a hold of either. waiting for the next world tour now hopefully around 2026. hoping for a bigger venue.
If I remember correctly, it was the 7th on her 24-song set. Incredible.
She is also a great songwriter, arranger, performer, and band leader. A lot of top musicians want to play with her. If you check her band members, it would be interesting for you.

TK versionとAdo versionのどちらも傑作であり、どちらも素晴らしい個性があることが前提で、あくまで個人的には私もバンドはTK versionの方が好みです。表現は難しいのですが、TK versionの方が一つ一つの音が細く繊細で、この曲の世界観に合っているように感じました。ただし、Adoの声は幅と深さがあるため、Ado versionも声とバンドの調和はとれており、作品全体のバランスは完璧だと感じました。
TK’s version has one disadvantage. Time. It’s an older version which shows that studios liked to mix and master tracks differently. Ado’s version has more bass presence and has a wider sound. A more modern way of mixing and mastering. Great catch on your part!

There is another great take on this song worth a list, by the vtuber Amane Kanata on a 3D live concert (it is clipped also on her channel). Doesn't have the grit and scream, but makes it work her own way

Incidentally, at the end of the 17th track, "Tot Musica," you have the same or even more screaming than in "Unravel.
Also, in the 19th song, "DIGNITY," you use a whistle voice (very high pitch) in the arrangement in the middle of the song.
I feel all the live versions are better than the music videos.
