In re-watching a lot of these clips, I am reminded how important the relationships with Sonny and with Jason were to her growing and being able to stay in the present, and trying to bring her back to reality when she spiraled because she was fearful of what would happen being HIV positive...People can say what they want about Sonny and Jason but there’s still two of my favorite characters on GH... and I’m glad when Robin comes back periodically to GH she gets to see both of them.
The character of Robin is a Doctor. Dressing her like a Carly would be insulting. She's no two-bit hoe that gained status on her back. So she's dressed like a professional in suits, slacks & blouses, and lab coats. Cause she worked for hers and she respects herself enough not to walk with her goodies out there for all to see.
I agree. Robin is so gorgeous, I don't know why they keep dressing her up like a nun. Thank God Patrick saw past those clothes lol, cuz if he didn't who would even see Robin for the hotness that she is.
I love Robin. I really do, I love a relationship with Patrick but for gosh sakes writers I understand she’s been living with HIV for over 10 years but stop using HIV as a crutch. you are a living breathing person who has the ability Robin to educate people it’s sad when anyone dies from AIDS. And I understand feeling bad and being freaked out because it may be the first person that died of AIDS in a long time in front of you, but that should give you more drive and desire to be out there educating people and helping people and healing people. it has nothing to do with Patrick not having HIV.I think the writers were right, you had survivors guilt and the writers should have really delved into that. You should have somebody to be a phenomenal therapist for her that you would’ve been able to open up that would’ve been a phenomenal storyline...
Agreed, but I think they were trying to hit the audience over the head to remind us and to show how Patrick evolved and changed. He even when he cut himself during the surgery and kept working, they wanted to give a different perspective.
Remember how she was on the bridge when baby Janetta died and Jason was there for her? She was hit hard by that and when she gave her speech at the NB (the one where Jason carried her off the stage), she cried talking about Stone, Jon Hanley (who had recently died in real life and it hit the whole cast hard), and baby Janetta. She also shared w/Patrick (on the roof) the violence she's experienced in her life, so yes a lot of survivor's guilt, but when it came to loving again, she was a much different person. I think it was also hard on Patrick b/c he didn't know Robin growing up. He only heard the stories. Everyone else around her, even Nikolas and Alan and people like Brenda went through that with her, so it was easier for her to relate those experiences w/them than it was w/him. It made sense he was jealous of Stone and her closeness w/others in PC as she had a rich history there and even in places he lived, he never had that, so it was difficult for him to understand and not feel left out.
Kimberly likely has input in her wardrobe. Robin's garments could very well reflect Kim's opinions. Kim is a minimalist, conventional, shabby-chic style.
Why is Patrick who is a neurosurgeon helping Alexis who has lung cancer? wouldn’t she be talking to a pulmonologist and oncologist I know they must have them at GH...
It took me right back to the letter Stone wrote to Robin. It was a labor of love and I would've been privileged to be on-set to witness the kind of televised magic that we saw in 95.
Why is it that Robin can be so open with Sonny and she can actually talk with him like she has faith in her future. She has that monster living inside her, like April says, but she wants to live. She wants to be there for people, she wants to help, but when she’s with Patrick she’s totally shut down. She won’t open that part of her up at all, I never understood that.
@@leanadickey9939 I understood that the beginning of the relationship, but I didn’t understand in 2011 when she was concerned because her HIV meds weren’t working. They had went through counseling to save their marriage and were told they need to communicate better
Robin had common ground with Sonny. Some people may never forget their first love and she could only talk with someone who knew him. My first "real" love didn't happen until I was in my early 20's (now I'm in my late 50's) and he died of cancer in his early 30's (my late 20's) and it took years to stop thinking of him on a daily basis. I would call his mother occasionally, got together w/his friends once a year to go camping to remember him the first few yrs. Now I only think of him occasionally, but when I do, I talk of what things might have been like had he lived.
She was afraid of getting close and/or loving too much and losing Patrick. Or if she got sick, Patrick could lose her. It makes perfect sense that she would shut Patrick down alot in the beginning. It was a defense mechanism to protect her heart and Patrick's and to put up cautious walls, as to not get hurt if she were to get sick again. And again..the love and loss with Robin ALWAYS goes back to Stone. That's where it all started and she relates every deciaion she makes to that. Work was a safe zone..a safe place for Robin. Plus, it goes back to her parents being there, leaving, there again, leaving again..she had alot of personal turmoil and trust to get through slowly. And Patrick later became so patient with her..he had his trust issues with his folks, too. He was afraid of losing Robin like his father and him when his mother got sick. Great raw, real life stories we all go through! R and P are absolutely two of the best in the history of daytime soaps!!💙💜😉🤟💞
OK, I truly love Robin Scorpio. I’ve loved her character for the whole time she’s been on the show what is that 27 years 30 years. As soon as she got in a relationship with Patrick and she found love again, something happened. I don’t know what the writers intention was ,but she almost became closed off, terrified that she was waiting for the other shoe to drop, waiting to die. Patrick may be right she hides behind for HIV and I don’t know why. When she talks about feeling like she has to put a positive spin on everything why Robin’s always been a realist, for god sake’s she’s living with HIV. No one is asking her to be happy all the time, no one is. No one is asking her to be optimistic every moment, no one is. She’s been a doctor and she’s lost patients before. Most of my problem and issue has always been that she pushed and pulled and pushed and pulled with Patrick so much that it was ridiculous. This, this made no sense. Especially how far she’s come, and all she did for April. April may not have a long time to live, but for those couple weeks Robin helped her, to smile and to communicate that’s got to count for something for Robin...
I'm only speculating, but after she told AJ about Michael and Jason was so pissed at her, she felt misunderstood and b/c of her HIV status and being hurt by Jason, she closed herself off, only caring on throwing herself into her work, never to have a relationship again, until feelings stirred for someone else (Patrick) and she didn't know how to react since she had been hurt before and also since KMc was off screen for so long, there were new writers, new scripts and they didn't remember what her character was like (also remember she was a teen when she left only to return briefly for Lila's (AL service), so of course she would be different, maybe more harsh. I don't think she talked much about her time away, so they could have had her reveal experiences that hurt her and made her the way she was when she returned.
Do you know when you watch these old scenes you realize that Carly was right on a lot of levels. Robin is incredibly judgmental ,and high and mighty in a lot of ways. Which is so strange because Robin before she left for Paris was nothing like this, and she was still living with HIV at that time..
Carly was like that with both Robin & Elizabeth, she was very territorial and found fault whenever she could. She was that way with Sam too, for the longest time until she finally accepted her.

Nina Osafo because she is a Dr. not a hooker. She has always been modest and sweet.
As time went on she started dressing more normal and let her hair down and she did dress up occasionally.
I agree she is so beautiful!

She mention on a interview that when she left GH she took Robin clothes with her.
I liked the way she dressed

Don't you know on GH they re-use characters/actor who are multi-talented? lol
Lol same thing I was thinking
That note was touching

Robin was a little judgmental when it came to Carly and Michael and when it fell apart, she left town
I don’t know if anyone still reading these posts but I think Robin has pantyhose on they have runs in them but it seems strange...
We get it. You don't like Robin.
