My squad (I made in the ftp days) was 1 sectopod and 5 chrissalids, the goal was make them burrow in an area but spaced out and use the sectopod to bait the enemy’s in then use the chrissalids in burrow behind all the enemy’s.
ooh.... yea I have heard of something similar. Where you use the gate keeper as bait and also burrow the chrissalids all over. Once they come for the keeper they either die to the chrissalids and spawn more or they will die to the gate keeper and become zombies. It is very effective.
When VainerC the Shieldbearer heard his Commander say, "fuck it" he knew it was going to be a bad day. As predicted, it was a bad day. A terminally bad day. However, rather than go through all the paperwork involved with procuring a new Shieldbearer, the Commander decided to simply hire the unconscious enemy Shieldbearer; who, having conveniently been knocked out by a Berserker, did not resist. Waking up in the squads medical bay he found himself face to face with a Beserker, the Medic and the Commander. Upon discovering the Enemy Shieldbearer was awake, the Commander said bluntly; "you have a choice, join our squad to replace our old Shieldbearer, VainerC who's name you will take, to save us some paperwork and your life. Or you can be squashed by this Beserker here." "I guess i will join your squad Commander;" New VainerC said quickly, eyeing the Beserker with some trepidation. "Wise decision VainerC:" the Commander said. "Now, get better quickly, we have much work to do!" So saying, the Commander departed with the medic and beserker, Leaving the unfortunate Shieldbearer to contemplate this turn of events.
VainerCactus 0 well, this is officially the best back story o have ever heard for any character. Hahaha... amazing. You should write a book telling the story of VainerC and all of his misadventures. Haha
The incredible (mis)adventures of VainerC the Shieldbearer :) Undoubtedly the hardest part would be trying to come up with a way for the Commander to avoid paperwork lol. When the Shieldbearer dies, there probably won't always be an unconscious enemy to recruit.
The Commander is a soldier not a paper pusher... yes, every time the shield bearer dies he goes though an elaborate scheme that is twice as much work as the paperwork would be, but dammit at least he does not have to do the paper work.
Aw yeah, i used to run 4 advent troopers, a sectopod, and an advent officer and use volume of fire to win. It was fun. Obviously any grenade or rocket cleaned me out
That does sound like an interesting strategy, I do agree that micro rockets and grenades would be a bit of an issue, but we gotta do what we gotta do! Thank you for sharing, appreciate you!
I actually do not like reapers at all. I do not think they are as strong as the other two. I may be wrong though. I just don't think in multiplayer they are as playable for 5000 points as the other two are. Their abilities in comparison is not really all that good for ranked matches, you will however see, i predict a lot of skirmishers.
I have found that nobody is playing custom matches, you will have to go into the ranked matches. But there i have never waited more that 5min for a game.
Why didn't you put any of the beserkers in cover when you moved them out the front? Do you want them to take damage for the enrage or was it just desperate I have to cover distance type deal (which confuses me with all the half and full cover nearby)

My biggest fear is people playing reapers and when they are losing simply hide with the reaper and wait until their opponent gets annoyed and quits.

They can't take cover
