I grew up skiing and snowboarding (I prefer snowboarding, and mainly do that now), and just wanted to give you a few tips. For proper fitting with the boots, slam your heel into the ground while seated after putting them on to ensure your getting the proper fit (feet tend to slide backwards while snowboarding, and you don't wanna find out that the boots are too big while on the mountain). Also, mittens are much better with warmth in comparison to gloves (most of the avid snowboarders wear them on the mountain), if that's something you're concerned about: I've gone out in negative degree temperatures without a problem with mittens on (a maybe some hand warmers, which work better with mittens than gloves). Also, a good base layer (used to be called "long underwear" or "long johns") that is made specifically to keep you warm are a life saver, as well. Finally, I would highly recommend renting boots, snowboards, and anything else you can when you first get started: the gear at the mountain (or nearby) is suited specifically for the conditions in the area (boards for ice vs. powder, different skill level boots options, pros in the shop who can help you determine what you need, etc.). Once you get to know what you like the most, and what works the best for you and where you snowboard, using that knowledge to buy gear later on helps avoid buying stuff that ends up not working. Super long comment, sorry...but thought it might be helpful.
Oh my gosh, you are so sweet! I love this! Thank you for giving such wonderful advice. I can tell you definitely know your stuff. =) I hope you have a fabulous weekend gorgeous!
one thing you got to watch out for that most people won't tell you about is that if you wear too many layers you'll sweat and sweat is your Achilles heel because it will get you colder faster so make sure that you're layering is a wicking material that keeps the sweat away from you but also doesn't allow it to stick around and another helpful tip that you might want to look at is make sure that the jacket you are getting has pitvents on it because they're going to be points where, you need the ventilation to stay warm or to cool off when it gets too hot on the slopes because you don't want to again over sweat because that is your Achilles heel and when it comes to your snowboard pants you want the same ventilation system within the legs so again you don't overheat and produce tons of sweat another thing that you're probably going to want to look at with your jacket is powder skirting because if it doesn't have a powder skirt to it then snow is just going to get you cold cuz we'll fly up underneath and get you wet! And just another tip I'd like to share with you, invest in thermals because thermal underlayers will keep you warmer than sweaters and make sure that you have snowboarding socks and a Bellaclava or a neck warmer because that's also going to help regulate your temperature and keep you warmer. Also a good pair of mittens and you're going to want to make sure that you have the most important piece of gear that you can have and that is your brain bucket or your helmet, and I would suggest to get some risk Gators along with some butt padding and of course your snowboard goggles you can't go without those because they protect your eyes from the Sun and from any debris that gets kicked up from your board and snowboarding socks because that will help keep your feet warmer and it's not a bad idea to invest in some compression socks because they will help blood circulation and make your feet feel better on the long rides out on the slope just some tips that I've learned from some pros and thought I would share them with you! Good luck and happy snowboarding! And stay safe within covid 19 because we can't afford to lose anyone else
And PS a little tip eBay has some really good prices on some really good gear and a lot of it's never been used before and the stuff that has been used if you know what you're looking for, is still in good enough condition to where you can wear it out on the slopes and look like you spent a million dollars but in actuality you only spent maybe 200 at the most or if you're lucky you can even do cheaper than that LOL and still get the brand names that everyone recognizes as being the go-to brands like Roxy, Burton, K2 obermeyer, spyder, bonfire, exedra and if you're lucky you can find one piece like I did by Roxy which is normally a $400 suit but I only paid $110 for the suit and it's in brand new condition or there are almost brand new condition meaning no stains tear rips or problems with itend and because of that I am going to look like I spent a lot when actually I didn't spend a lot! Just sharing some helpful tips and good luck out there 👍
omg, this is so exciting! I've always wanted to go, but never have! that white hoodie w/ fur trim is a MUST-HAVE for the snow 😍😍😍 ahh you look incredible!
I liked skiing, but always thought (I know, I know) that snowboarding might be easier... then I tried it. I kind of got up on my feet, and I sort of did OK, and if I spent more time doing it - I might have gotten decent on the board, but skiing feels so much more comfortable to me, so I went back to skis. I agree, be waterproof or freeze when the snow gets in your clothes! I was rather chilly snowboarding do to the falls and acquiring some snow in my clothing! Dropping another LIKE on your video! Watching and Supporting!
I agree with you that skiing is a lot easier than snowboarding. I fell pretty badly on the trip and had back pain for 2 months after that. I am fine now but it was scary. Thank you so much for your support!
A nice boa lacing boots but you want to go with a double boa lacing system not a single because when you go for a single it's always going to tighten up the top more than the bottom so you can get a little bit of unresponsiveness and it makes it so that you can't get total adjustability with your boot where you might like it to be. But if it works for you then by all means just my two cents take it or leave it!
The reason you buy it the size of your feet is because traditionally in in a foot size you might get a little bit bigger for some growth in terms of your feet! however with snowboard boots that is not the typical case because you want your snowboard boots to be the exact size of your foot because, if your boot is a bigger size than your actual feet then you're not going to get a good response when snowboarding because you have to think of your feet as gas pedals and brakes and if you have a boot that is slightly bigger than your foot size, like you normally typically do for a shoe or your regular boots you'd wear out on snow, will only cause problems when you're trying to snowboard because your foot won't stay locked in the right position and therefore when you try and gain good gas pedal movement or good braking movement you will always be slopping around in your boots which means you will not get great gas pedal / brake pedal ability within your boot and your foot will slide around causing you to have lesser response when maneuvering your board out on the mountain! but that's not the case when your boot is the exact size of your foot because your foot then, has nowhere to go but where you want it to go and therefore you can get great response when you're out snowboarding!!!
I startend snowboarden to and omg the most helpful tip i can give is BUY 2 PEARS OF GLOVES because jou juse jour hand reallifesoap Otten and the gloves do get wet at the and of the day
Do it it is the best decision you will ever make it is extremely fun would recommend some lessons before a holiday and yes you might fall but you get back up it's all part of the thrill and learning experience.
@@angelab0ss Hey, I noticed you are only 20K away from your vision/dream-board total, I swear you could have that by end of Feb(as predicted by moi ;-). I have a couple suggestions for videos, both should be Amazon. One can be Valentines inspired, where you just order Valentines or red things and another should be Amazon dupes, as you probably can see, the internet can't get enough of Amazon dupe vids and any new content in that area is gobbled up immediately. If I come across an item I think you might like to purchase, I'll post it.

@@angelab0ss haha. The pant liner goes over your boot, not in it. The orange tightening cord for the boot liner goes on top of your foot not behind your leg:) You never want to wear multiple socks, you buy a heavier weight sock for colder temps. You're hot so I watched it but it wasn't the best advice. I hope you had fun riding nonetheless.
Remember it’s not always about fashion you have to make sure you ave layers and make sure you are comfortable.
You are very right! Comfort and safety first. This was just my personal shopping experience on what I purchased as a beginner.
