Hi Olina! I am knitting gloves for all 3 of my kids and my man. I am finishing up the first pair now and have already made all the gift socks I had planned on making. Love your huge December knitting plans! can't wait to see how much of the gifts, ornaments, and selfish knits you get done.
😍 great video, love these types of project planning ones, can’t wait to see all your progress, especially the penny socks and Marius jumper, will enjoy following along during advent 💚🎄
I really enjoy making these videos too! It's so fun to look back on and see how much I actually was able to knit🥰 Now I'll just keep my fingers crossed for loads of knitting time in December🤞🏻
Oh gosh, Oline you have a lot of Christmas knitting plans! I am not a fast knitter so I tend to crochet most gifts. Right now I am crochet a two foot tall Raggedy Ann doll for my sister for Christmas. It’s all crocheted in cotton including the clothes. I also want to crochet a stuffed Eeyore doll for my friend. Again, all cotton. Rough on the hands! I can’t wait to see what you decide to make!
I realized as I was putting it together just how many plans I have😅 Hoping for a December filled with knitting time🤞🏻 Your crochet projects sound fun! But I can only imagine how rough that would be on the hands😅
Hi Olina! Great plans you have! It hard to believe that it’s almost December! Some of your utube knits have sparked my interest and I’d like to do a few!I also am going to knit the Marius sweater.. I have got the wool yet but I do have the pattern!
Great plans. I went back and forth with a Christmas Sweater but fell in love with your levitate wrap in red. So I just decided to cast it on. I really want a red agnete cardigan but I think it would take more time. I love the Christmas ornaments. Have fun knitting! All the best, Kimberly
Levitate Wrap in red is great for Christmas! So I guess I really have more than "just" the Christmas dress to wear this Christmas🙈 A red Agnete would look amazing! But I remember from when I made mine that that's A LOT of work, so your probably right in not trying to make that for this Christmas😅❤️ Have fun knitting you too!
Don’t stress if there is something you really want to make and can’t get time. Lots of people have a ‘Christmas Eve Cast-on’ which is kind of nice too. Likely not a lot accomplished on Christmas Eve but still a goal. I don’t have any special knitting plans for December. I found I plan too much and it is such a busy month in the first place that I wasn’t going to do that this year. So far, no plans. Whatever gets done gets done.
Loved your video, very ambitious plans. I have knit the star ornament last year that you mentioned and enjoyed making them and they turned out great. I even knit them in a strand of fingering and mohair. Thought I would pass on if you do decide to make them you really need to pay attention when you work the second half of the star to make sure it lines up. I don’t remember them specifying then I realized I had to go back and line up the star pattern. Hope this makes sense and helps.
Hi Oline, love your plans, great video. Seeing you in the red dress, I really want a red sweater with sleeves the same as on the dress you're wearing, I must look for a pattern. I'm making some fingerless mitts for a Christmas gift and my big plan for next Christmas is to make the Dala Kids Sweater by Elenor Mortensen in red and white (the yarn has arrived and I'm itching to cast it on) 😊
My plan until Christmas is finishing my Christmas presents. I ordered the yarn and only received it this monday. I already began a colorwork sweater for my granddaughter in Drops merino extra fine size 1 year), and I have to knit a sweater for my husband in Nepal (size 2XL) and a pair of socks for my son in law. During the holidays, I'll have to knit mittens and socks for my granddaughter as I can try her for the size and perhaps a sweater for my daughter (or whatever she needs socks or cowl or hat) before we come back at home. They live in South of France but in January they go on holiday in Norway and need warm clothes. And my son would like a jacket for his birthday which is later in January too. Thus not time for selfish knitting nor ornaments before next year.
Wow, you have a lot of gift knitting ahead of you! Good luck!! I'd live to hear what colorwork sweaters you're making your granddaughter? You are so kind to knit them warm clothes so they can stay warm traveling❤️🥰
Two colour Jadwiga by Albiona would look amazing with your deep red yarn. I would pair it with blush pink or light lilac because I'm crazy 😂 but also fun, low contrast, cooler tones, and not to dark. I also prefere your type of round up. The amount of the same video by diffrent people I saw this month is another level.
Oooh! I'll look into that one! I don't think I'll go with pink or lilac with red tho🙈 I've liked seeing the other roundup videos, but your right that there is a little of them😅 I didn't feel I had anything more to add to that conversation, but I still wanted to talk about Christmas Knitting plans🙈🥰
I am still working on gifts knits, but have put aside all projects to make a prayer shawl for my friend who was just diagnosed with breast cancer. I will go back to my gift knitting as soon as I can. I am going to start knitting for myself in the new year, as I have a long wish list of sweaters and miscellaneous items🥰. Your red dress is beautiful!!
Sending prayers to your friend❤️🩹 Good luck with both the prayer Shawl and Christmas gifts! Yay, for starting to knit for yourself next year! Making your own sweaters/cardigans/hats/just about anything is one of the best feelings🥰
I think it is such a great idea for stash busting! I need to do some of that aswell. Luckily, I have a baby on the way and I was thinking of using a lot up on small mittens and socks!
Wow, so many plans!! I am a big the biggest Christmas Grinch! I don't have good memories of Christmas and have hated it for a long time. It was hard to hide that from my kids but I managed. Glad that they are older and all they want from Christmas now is a nice tree with lights and being lazy at home in pyjamas. (And cookies lol). I just finished a bright red cardigan so that is going to be my Christmas sweater. But I have to decide on what to cast on for Christmas break. Not sure yet. There are so many patterns I love!
So many plans! 😅 I'm glad to know I'm not alone in being a grinch, even with children! For me Christmas has gotten easier to get through as I've become an adult and can choose to say enough to some of the traditions that plauges the family with stress. Hopefully I'll never have an over the top Christmas lover for a child😅 But if I do, his extended family will be more than happy to go above and beyond while I take a back seat! But I'll hope for the lazy at home in pyjamas Christmas! That red cardigan is so pretty! And perfect for a Christmas sweater❤️ Good luck getting through Christmas and figuring out your Christmas break project!
Great plans! I’m in the process of knitting my hubby a secret pair of socks, and I already knit some ornaments for my kids, because I make them ornaments every year for our tree. That way, when they’re grown up and move out they have a good amount of sentimental ornaments to take with them for their own tree 🎄🥰. But I’m not sure if I’ll knit any other gift knits this year, or just move onto my own things 😅
Good luck with the secret socks! Making ornaments for your kids each year sounds like such an amazing tradition! I want to start doing that myself! The decision between gifts and knitting for yourself is always a hard decision to make!
@ I remember when I was growing up it felt so special to have a few of my own ornaments to put up on the tree, and I took those with me when I made my own home so I’m trying to carry that on with my kids as well 🥰🥰
Hi Oline, I love your videos! I remember loving your guide to baby knits, do you think you will be able also to make a compilation of tips and pattern suggestions for men’s sweaters that you have tried in the past?
Hi! Thank you so much! I can't for sure make a video like that about mens sweaters! The men in my life are not the most opinionated when it comes to knitwear, tho. They are usually happy with everything😅

Good idea small knitting gifts 🎁, accessories like Sophie Scarf 🧣 will be amazing gifts 🎁
I think so! ❤️

Amazing Christmas plans. I’m hoping to visit Norway next year so might need to knit myself a Marius!
I highly recommend making a Marius Sweater! The colorwork is quite easy and super addictive🤩

Hi! The dress I'm wearing in the video is actually a sweater pattern! The Augustins no16!
Holding off casting on for a project is so hard sometimes!

@norwegianknitter I love babyknit ideas! Looking forward to seeing what you will come up with!😄

Hi ! Is the hat pattern in English? I would really like to knit this! Thanks !
Hi! It seems to me that it's only available in Norwegian as of right now, unfortunately!
@ do you think I could google translate ..? I really like it …
@helenedumoulin9092 I think so! It's not the most advanced pattern. And if you get stuck just send me a message and I'll try to help❤️
Julekuler = Christmas ornaments
Thank you!
