We're lucky to have this at all though, so I'm very grateful. Just a suggestion for another time. Thanks for the hard work.

@@kabob21i live in a Swedish small town in the rural north, and it's definitely far well known here. so it's definitely not unheard of *everywhere* outside of the US. i would assume it's more dependent on how conservative a country or region tends to be, and that definitely applies in this case. see, in post-war Japan, there was a massive surge in popularity for left-wing politics following the collapse of the fascist regime. but the country was still under US occupation, and the Americans grew worried communists would become popular enough to take power if they didn't take action. so even though they had just used 2 nukes to stop a Japanese far-right regime, they still decided to put those people back into positions of power, and Japan has been one of the most conservative first world countries ever since.
