Rasslin fan and Animu watcher it's a damn good sword but i never rescued Olgierd. I back saved to see all the possiblities. The swords nice, just didn't think Olgierd was worth saving.

Hello, im just level 15., And just finished "return to crookback bog" if i play new game +., Does the level required for that sword is 75? Or higher?

3.Iris(strong attack built will be good with this)

Not trying to knit pick. The belhaven blade IS a top-tier blade but there is another actually but not by much. I just thought if anyone didn't know or would like to.. Its a blade called the "Viroledan blade" actually stronger but to eachs own. Good luck on the path guys

Found another steel sword probably even better than BB: Toussaint knight´s steel sword (exact name can differ cuz I´m playing polish/czech version).
Have found level 100 crafting manual when I was level 95 and it has following stats:
- 767-937 base damage
- 20% crit hit chance (probably highest sword´s chc in the game)
- 100% crit hit damage
- 300 armor penetration
- 30% Quen strength
- 15% burning chance
How can you find the 100 crafting manual? I got the diagram but it is lvl 49 only. My char is at lvl 100 already

Depends on the damage range of blave, 100% is better than 75% critical hit damage bonus, and i think they have the same % chance

Nah, the diagrams don't work like that. They are static based on ng+ or not. Requirements would be lower for you since you aren't ng+. Enjoy the game!
Level requirement is dependable on which game you play. If standard "from zero point" then level is stable and could be around 42-43 for this item. But in the NG+ the level is based on level you begun NG+. Let me explain - there were guys who started NG+ with level 36 and their grandmaster legendary armor requirement is just lvl70. But e.g. I´ve started my NG+ with level 54 and my G.L. armor is lvl93, there can be really big difference. So for me in NG+ the Belhaven sword could even have lvl96, i suppose. I am at level 91 now and I haven´t found it yet (cuz it has no sense now, I can´t use it), but I am close :)
This is cool, but if you are a quen user and want a high piercing armor, then Toussaint Knight Steel Sword is for you.

Angel Garcia, sure is! The Runewright is part of that dlc. I'd recommend buying the goty Witcher 3 to get that and Blood and Wine bundled with it. Over 20 hours of good story content and extra items and such!

Viper set gives no abilities but looks sexy and venomous viper silver sword is perfect i prefer half wolf half ursine or full griffin/cat (but using hen gaidth set)

the damage probably varies depending on the player level

No, Thats the Aerondight silver sword you get during the side quest ''There can only be one'' (i believe the quest is called that, look it up on VG247.com)
Eirik-Andre Johansen wrong it does scale to the level you loot it at however once you loot it it's level will be set and it will never increase in damage

isn't the loot in chests random, like you can't have a final guide for all oils for example? so that would make this guide useless, but it is an awesome sword so I don't know.....
It's a treasure hunt. The chest is part of the quest.

+Teun de graaf Aerondight is no contest. Some prefer the Toussaint Steel sword over the belhaven blade. It has 25% less crit damage, but has armor penetration, which may or may not be more useful depending on the situation.
+Ditronus +Ditronus I'm level 100(new game +) and the best steel sword for me currently is the Hen Gaidth steel sword(fortunately you can get it regardless of which path you choose) it's a level 98 sword with 15% crit chance 75% crit damage 15% chance to cause bleeding 15% stun chance and 150 armour piercing. The Belhaven unfortunately is only a level 75 sword(I think) and the Toussaint steel sword is a level 78 steel sword so even though their bonuses are slightly better they get kind of out leveled

How much higher is the damage range; it wouldn't take too much more damage to trade off armor pen or 25% crit damage for it as base damage is harder to come by and more of a priority. I should have put that qualifier in my video. Hopefully others will be able to weigh the decision if they get to max level and have both options in front of them.

How much does it approximately cost to make all grandmaster sets
Hmm, just upgrading from Mastercrafted to Grandmaster? Or upgrading them all up from a basic set diagram? To level them from mastercrafted to grandmaster, it takes about 10,000 gold for each set (rough estimate). I was able to get them all rather quick using a gold farming method (legit). I made a video about it, check it out! I was getting 80k-100k an hour, but that was in NG+.
From my experience, it's about 25-30k to craft and insert greater glyphs/runes and enchant from Mastercrafted versions. Costs more to fully deck out your set with glyphs and enchantments than it is to actually craft the gear. I've crafted all but the Grandmaster Wolven set.
+Apex of War Yea, I was just estimating strictly upgrading a single piece. About 10k, for instance, to upgrade a mastercrafted trousers to grandmaster buying the mats. Whoops. But yes, the Runewright is a freak who takes all our money.

+Peter Dreyfuss my estimate was for an entire set. that's if you're smart and craft most of the materials needed to craft the set rather than straight buying the materials from the smith.

Alien Moth Probe That's weird. There'd be no point setting it too 200 because there is no New Game ++...you can't possibly level that high unless you just kill farmed (boring). I thought the BaW expansion only set it to 100.

Hen Gaidth? Yes, another commenter pointed this out and I re-worded my title differently. It will have more base damage since it's a higher level, but will have less critical damage. I do agree, though, it would be better than Belhaven. Yet, Belhaven is very formidable and is especially easy to get and has a much lower level requirement; it takes a while to get level 98 to be able to equip the Hen Gaidth.
+Ditronus +Ditronus my bad I mentioned it was a level 98 sword, I think the Hen Gaidth scales to your level. It's a sword you find not a diagram so you don't have to craft it, so it would be a superior sword once you're past level 75 for the Belhaven and 78 for the Toussaint steel sword, to my luck I came across it when I was already level 100 so I received it at level 98
+chirag vaswani btw if you're wondering where you can find it, it's in the unseen elders cave just as you enter it you have to swim a bit and you'll find it along with the Hen Gaidth gauntlet in a chest(however if you chose the other path in the main story quest then don't go beyond the part where you find the sword or the unseen elder will insta kill you)

Belhaven Blade isnt the best imo!! Look at hjalmars Blade its a random drop with crit Bonus up to 200%
Not familiar with this item. But yes, I made the wording in my title consistent with my description: it's *one* of the best. Thank you. Surely, though, Belhaven is a top-tier sword and a very, very easy one to get compared to this "hjamar's blade" with it's rng-ness or Hen Gaidth blade with it's 98-level requirement. For those reasons, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I have a better sword, it's called "Geralt of Rivia's sword" you get it from defeating the last champion, and to get there you need to win the 5v5 before, i'm pretty sure if you lose that (somehow) you won't be able to fight him.

If you lose any of the 3 challenges you can't fight the champion, The Mountain, in single combat. Unfortunately I just couldn't beat that damn horse race. I could never get the sword dummies to register my hits so I would always run out of time 5 feet before the finish line. Tried for 2 hrs and gave up not knowing you HAD to win all 3, really wanted that sword...
