Caves in games are exciting, real caves are nightmares.
There’s a parasites for crickets and grass hoppers kind of like a black tapeworm. It travels to a host and climbs into the hosts body by the rear end. The parasite eats the abdomen but doesn’t kill the host. The parasite than makes the hosts THIRSTY and looks for a river or another body. Than before the hosts drowns in the water and dies, the host escapes and reproduces
I've seen 2 hair worms in my house so far, one in my cat's water bowl and one that evacuated a cricket that I stomped on. Of course I stomped on them again and ground them into the concrete for like 30 seconds.

A creepy thought I just had is that John is still stuck down in Nutty Putty, rotting away.
Someday hundreds of years from now, someone might break down the cement plug and find a skeleton stuck in that hole and probably question what the heck happened.
His bones would have fallen deeper into the hole to serve as a sign for what's to come for anyone foolish enough to follow his same path.
They'd probably think some President got buried in cement alive

Cordyceps is a mushroom like parasite. It can zombify ants,spiders.scorpions and more. The parasite starts on the legs and slowly takes over the abdomen and eats the hosts organs. Damn Joseph Dodged the biggest bullet of his entire life
Some unfortunate spiders get a certain parasite that looks like Oreo stuffing. It starts on the joints of the spider, which the joints are on the legs. It goes to the stomach and eats the hosts food instead of the spider, basically starving it. As the spider barely even gets its diet done it feeds the parasite heavily and makes it take even more control. But it doesn’t reach the brain. It takes over the entire outsides of the spider the spider looks like a 2 month old Oreo stuffing except it’s not molding. The spider has barely any energy and the legs barely work. The spiders eye can’t even see and the nerves start shutting down so it can barely feel anything around it. So it’s half disabled,blind and can’t feel. The spider makes its last web and stays on it till death. The spider doesn’t even have the sticking thing it used to stick on surfaces and it might fall down. And if ants find it and a colony gets it it’s havoc

The fact that these happen and yet people are still willing to go caving is undeniable proof that self preservation has been bred out of humanity hundreds of years ago.
No buddy, that just means natural selection is still playing a role in mother nature. You and I would never be in this situation in the first place.
There’s a parasite for rats and mice that are oddly similar to every other parasite except it kills the host on purpose. The parasite starts off on food that a rat or mice might find on the street or in a house, if you have rats. Than when a victim eats the contaminated food it goes to the brain by the energy connecting to it. Than the parasite toils with the brain’s memory and fears and fight or flight. Than when it sees a cat, one of its biggest predators. It’s not scared or fearful at all. Being controlled by something that’s not you should be terrifying for anything alive. Than when the cat finally try’s digesting the mouse or rat, it goes into the cats brain and reproduces. The basically rabid cat with than need attention and help immediately because the parasite will just stay there.
