As a scientist it's maddening to listen to these two ignoramuses blather on about a subject of which they are both totally ignorant. On polar bears, the woman in question is a former, unpaid adjunct professor in the Anthropology Department at the University of Victoria, Canada. She is a climate change denialist and has been very vocal about that. Far from being the "best" counter of polar bears, she has done no actual research on polar bears nor published anything in the scientific literature. So, D'Souza's entire story is a fabrication, but Dillahunty is too ignorant of the subject to say anything. Total waste of time.

This is what is frustrating about using "facts" out of context. The polar bears are growing in numbers, but why? Could it be that their ranges are shrinking, causing them to become invasive to the northern coasts? These are questions one would ask oneself, when seeing these facts in this context. We know the glaciers are melting, that is a documented fact. How much of it is on us and what we can do about it is where the debate should lie; especially on what we can do. Its frustrating to see all this context be ignored, to simply say "well, the polar bears!"

Matt must find D'Souza fun to debate because of how absurd his positions are. I can't imagine any other reason he would be on the same stage with him. D'Souza is a fool who keeps coming back for more, I guess. Matt should tell him no the next time he tries to set up another debate with him.
How can somebody who believes in the fine-tuning argument -- as D'Souza does -- dismiss a 1 degree celsius change as inconsequential.
4:33 tell that to Florida residents and how insurance companies are now screwing them
What humans believe is often what is important or best for them so are happy to accept anything that appears to demonstrate their truth even if this is actually false.
Human centric thinking is so wrong it hurts. I'm with you 💯
No honest way to defend a lie Dinesh. This is one reason i cannot debate , listening to Dinesh spew nonsense is annoying. I do love watching matt school him.
So the 30 thousand total polar bears is somehow a big number now?
They do thing worst the Nazis were doing during ww2 and they are not even hiding it anymore😂😂😂
Dinesh does not excellent job of avoiding Matt’s points & shifting the conversation constantly. He’s uninformed & a bad faith debater. Truly a malicious person
Dinesh is unbearable to listen to and his loud, whistling dentures makes it only harder.D,when you sound like that,it s time to get smaller dentures.
Dinesh, as always you haven´t got a clue what you are talking about so why won´t you stop and then you can avoid embarrassing yourself.
Guys never heard of the Koch brothers I guess 😂
There are countless studies just on air samples, that Dinesh could have read. But he makes up some silly process that nobody is basing climate change on and thinks that debunks it.
We can measure the carbon increase. Period. We can also tell it’s fossil fuel carbon and not living carbons that are increasing period. Considering how much we have increased the burning of fossils in the last century, it would be really weird to suggest it doesn’t have an effect. Like really weird.
Dinesh is a skilled propagandists. He always creates arguments around fallacies that appeal to conservative bias with the hypocrisy charge.
There is no science in this conversation
The left has given the deniers yet again a platform.
People like him shouldn't even be let to speak fr
Wel, let's see who are the biggest stakeholders
Benefitting climat change denial
Petrochemical industrie
Car industrie
All major economies
Benefitting from clirmat change is true.
Ehm
Windmill and pv panels manufacturers.
I wonder who has the more money
Zero clue why are you commenting when you can’t even spell correctly like did a toddler type this 😂😂
@@Jonesyyy12Firstly, the spelling is indicative of them having a different primary language (if memory serves, that way of spelling those terms is usually from German speakers). You probably didn't know that prior, but now you can look out for it and understand.
Secondly, what you've done is committed the textbook definition of an ad hominem attack/fallacy. You're trying to discredit them not via an argument about the position/data, but on their (supposed) lack of ability on an unrelated skill set/topic.
Do better.
@@Jonesyyy12That's your considered, factual, and well reasoned counter argument? Oil has money, others don't. Surprise. They deny science.
I truly think that the only people who should be questioning Dinesh are psychiatrists.
What a waste of time of Dillahunty to even bother to debate D'Souza. He stepped in the same Ham-trap which Bill Nye fell in, giving a mindless opportunist credibility which is to earned.
Dude in the glasses should stop embarrassing himself, total knob
Matt is way too kind to Dinesh in these interactions
They believe in anthropogenic climate change Dinesh.
Dinesh wins this Climate Hysteria Debate.
Where's the money in Atheism? Why wouldn't there be a relative dollar amount juxtaposed to that of religion?
Don't you get tired always encountering these millionaire climate scientists milking millions of dollars for themselves from global warming research?
It seems Matt has an emotional attachment to believing 'the science' trade mark. Its unfortunate that when he is sure he is right about something, he can not re-consider because after finally realizing that his religion was a fable he has convinced himself he is the smartest one in the room.
I used to love Dillahunty for his rational and critical thinking but he abandoned it when it came to the trans issue so I’m done with him
I don't wish to post comments that could look like an attack on a person. However, Dinesh displays a high level of ignorance, and through an almost narcissistic lens of generalised interpretation.
I'd really hope by calling this out, people with Dinesh's interpretations might stop and use less biased critical thinking and with less partisan politics.
Dinesh thinks E=mc2 never transferred over to public policy???
WTF? Has Dinesh never heard of the Manhattan Project?.
Nuclear Weapons were built based on E=mc2
This guy is so amazingly confidently wrong
Dinesh is so full of logical fallacies and bullshit it’s impossible to address. The sheer number of wrong facts he confidently spews is just overwhelming.
He’s far out matched by that other guy. You don’t get points for using more words.
So Dinesh believes the science but not the scientific solutions?
Tesla Hits Record High Sales from Carbon Credits at $1.79B. Elon Musk's Tesla generated a substantial $1.79 billion from carbon credit sales last year, as revealed in their Q4 2023 and annual financial report, bringing its total earnings from such credits since 2009 to nearly $9 billion.
Dinesh is so insufferable dishonest, I don't get why he gets so much attention.
Dinesh D'Souza - Yet another example of its ok to lie as long as it's lying for Jesus - Either he is totally ignorant
Dinesh is an insufferable fanatic. Why do people even debate with this guy.
Dinesh loses every debate he engages in.
why does.Dinesh talk?
ECHO…. ECHo…. ECho…. Echo…. echo
DD shows up everywhere stupidity is entertained.
What a jerk !
Matt won!
Dinesh quote on polar bears is so rubbish. There have been more sightings. Because they come further south.
The study was in the West Hudson Bay population. Their numbers increased over 50 years since the ban on hunting. Nothing to do with climate change. It’s a complete red herring.
Defends climate change?! 😂 gotta be more specific with the title
Dinesh is such an idiot! He cherry picks facts and uses false equivalency in his arguments.
very poor defense...
I have a confession: Every time another cringe-worthy D'Souza video pops up, I do my best to give him the benefit of the doubt. His confidence and poise, when challenged, have induced me to listen more closely than I should.
Finally, I'm done. I've bent over backwards to understand where he's coming from for too long. He's a joke! He's always been a joke! I tried, but... Nah! 😝
Wow this is stupid
Dinesh is not a scientist he's not even smart he's an shouldn't be in debate for anything really
Any fossil fuel funding there Dinesh?
Dinesh is a liar and he knows it and an easy way to prove it is to ask him why we’re not still using leaded gas when it is cheaper and more efficient than unleaded gas so why don’t we use it Dinesh
Dinish is ignorant lol. He says ridiculous things conflating facts
So, a non scientist, D'Sousa, thinks climate change science is not science... make it make sense. What kinds of science is required to make it climate change science? There's a few and D'Sousa is a chooch.
Matt is being irresponsible by allowing Dismess to spread his lies in such an unchecked way
Dinesh, AGAIN, flits from flawed reasoning and ill logic to flawed reasoning and ill logic. It is pathetic and displays where he butters his bread, not with the facts, but with who is paying him.
You really can’t argue with stupid.
