    Bought two of them new for about $895 or $995 when they had a deal on Adorama and B&H a few months ago. Spent the real money on Gmaster glass. To me it is a silly debate because they are just lightboxes. Good entry-level camera or a workhorse for real estate, landscape, stock. For weddings and video applications there is a good reason for upgrading.

But I really do miss the Full Frame cameras, unfortunately I can’t afford to go out and buy the setup I used to have. I have no fx glass so the FTZ adaptor isn’t really relevant I believe as the z5 will only proceed around 12mp in DX mode. (Not a deal breaker) but I may aswell start afresh whichever way I go. I’ve not used mirrorless before but it seems more logical to jump over even to an older body instead of going FF DSLR and changing again in a few years. I hope this makes sense haha

I'm also interested on adquiring the "one move one shot" star tracker in order to get longer exposures while doing astrophotography (like 1-2minutes) and get stars as dots instead of traces

    HellYeah. It's a great way to get into Sony's FF ecosystem. You can buy a Brand New Sony A7II with kit lens for $999.00. I traded in at my LCS my Sony A6000's and APS-C lenses, and paid the remainder balance of $250.00 for my Brand New Sony A7II body! You can buy the body only for $899.99. I wasn't going to jump on the Sony APS-C band wagon with all the new Sony APS-C cameras coming out. The only way I was going to upgrade was if it was to a Sony FF camera... Great video btw.

      I would prefer the A7II for portraits. Especially if you want that dreamy look with a f1.4 lens :)

      LOL

    • @GaryJahman
      @GaryJahman 4 роки тому +1

      I have to give it to the A7II, on higher ISO levels the noise is much cleaner.
      With the A6100 I wouldn't go above ISO 6400 but that's my own preference to reduce the noise level

      @@GaryJahman thanks for the reply! Right now, I'm torn between buying a Rokinon 35mm 1.4 for my A7ii, or just sell my A7ii, buy a a6400/a6100 + sigma lenses. But I only do photos and no videos at all. Still thinking of which one is better for photos, my only concern about the aps-c lineup is the low light and dynamic range, and my gripe on a7ii is the slow focusing speed.

      @@sarjialdana7098 Sarji Aldana no problem!
      If you do only photos then I would go definitely for the A7II with the Rokinon 35mm f1.4
      The reason for that is with A6400 or any other A6xxx you will never get the full frame look and also less noise in your image.
      F1.4 on full frame is really dreamy, some would say that you cannot see the difference. But I don't agree with that because the feeling is totally different ;)
