I work in aviation (technician at a large UK airport) and have recently been awarded EngTech though the IET at the ripe age of 49, proving that it's never too late!
Currently I also have an associate membership application lodged with the Royal Aeronautical Society. Fingers crossed. 🤞🏻

I have 3 Year DAE(Diploma of Associate Engineer) and 2 Years Btech pass in Electrical Technology and working in Electricity Authority last 15 Years. How I can get registered in IET?

Then you need to decide whether you are going to apply for EngTech or IEng, usually IEng requires a bachelors degree but given the fact you have 15years of experience , you should be applying for IEng.
Once you know what you need , apply through IET www.theiet.org/career/professional-registration/incorporated-engineer
To become an EngTech you don’t require to face an interview for peer review however if you are applying IEng you have a PRI to attend

I have a question. According to your knowledge could you tell me please if a " City & Guilds Advanced Technician Diploma in Electrical and Electronics " holder with 7 years experience as an Engineer can get the title of IEng from IET.
Yes you will have to apply through experience, because if you are taking the academic route you need a Bachelor Degree. But you can always go with the professional route given that you have experience to prove as an Engineer if not it’s better to get your ENGTECH. Happy to discuss further and check where you fit. If I became Eng Tech.. Can I apply for IEng same time or I have to wait for sometime? 2nd question is if I am unsuccessful in PRI then what is happen as I will take my 15 years professional experience root for IEng
Usually you need to hold a bachelors degree with relevant engineering experience to apply for IEng(however if you have experience you go through experience route as well), well if you have 15years of experience I wouldn’t worry about EngTech.. I would go straight for IEng.. Only IEng and CEng got a PRI.. I am going to release a video today on my PRI questions and some tips to successfully complete PRI.

For me it took three months from Application to PRI, the. Certificate and outcome will come in two weeks if my memory is good

Hello sir, so I'm currently writing my O/l exam rightnow and three subjects are left to finish. I've started my studies in english medium from grade 6 and also doing O/ls in english medium, I selected maths stream with ICT for A/ls and my goal is to be either AME or a pilot.I'm staying here only till A/ls and Will continue high studies in Canada. So my question is should i continue my A/ls in english medium or is it ok to change to sinhala medium. I'm afraid that if i change to sinhala medium will it be a trouble for high studies and I'm more comfortable in english medium rather than weird sinhala words. But everyone said that do it in sinhala medium and only the results will be needed for Sri lankan universities and that no one cares about medium and don't think about high studies yet blah blah. So what's ur opinion??

Continue in English, Sri Lankan is the only country who speaks Sinhala. Why do anyone ask you to continue in Sinhala, what benefit does it brings you? Even universities in Sri Lanka lecture in English Medium.

I have a question i recently did Electrical Engineering and im eligible for IEng. What if i apply for IEng for now. And after completing my Masters later on can i change my status from IEng to CEng at the time.
How many years of work experience you got as an Engineer? (If you are recent graduate you at least need some experience as an engineer as you need to fill in the UK Specs Qualifying Report. However you can apply for IEng interim as you have a bachelors degree.
Well the answer to your question is yes, you will have to change it if you apply for CEng
@@TheAeroTechnician I have 3 year of experience but the problem is that experience was going parallel during my Bachelors degree. And the rule is your experience will be count after completing your bachelor's degree.

You have a PRI when you have applied for IEng.
What’s PRI? - if you are referring to the interview. Yes! You have an interview to go through your qualifying report.
@@TheAeroTechnician Professional Registration Interview. It is something you need to do once you've applied for IEng. EngTech, you don't do a PRI. The PRI for IEng and CEng, is a talk through your career, with RAeS, it is what you've put down on your QRF. They'll ask for clarification on things or have a general discussion about parts of it, especially if they're interested in a specific area. They want to confirm you have written this, sound like you know subject with what you have written and confirm what you did.
Ethics plays a big part in these PRIs so ALWAYS be prepared for a question on ethics and sustainably. Review the Engineering Councils policy and codes on both.

@@TheAeroTechnician no problem, it's a statement. I think you mentioned that the PRI wasn't done for IEng, but I may have misheard you.
I had the interview with the RAeS in November and now IEng.
@@AshMundo Sorry PRI is not done for EngTech, but carried out both for IEng and CEng. Good one congrats, I missed the November application , now I have a interview date in February.
