As a ballet teacher in Treviso,Italy, I appreciate very much your lessons , specially the small tricks you suggest very often. I use your suggestion and explication about alignment, and the smal but effective correction about technique of steps or excersices, pirouettes or jumps. I am fitness instructor too, and I love your way of teaching, extremely clear and physiologically correct. Thank you very much, you are inspiring a lot. Daniela
Please can you do a video or a Q&A about how to avoid getting big bulky muscles ? Xx My thighs are getting really big and idk how to control it 😕 love you !! 🥰
Hi Millie. Check which muscles in your legs are doing the work. Over developed thighs usually indicates the quadriceps are taking over and the turn out muscles are being prevented from developing. Floor barre exercises are great for fixing this. Oh, check if you're turning your feet out more than you really should be - this makes it too hard to balance (even when you're standing in 5th) and all the wrong muscles get activated because your body is focused on not falling over! Tendus with addition of Flexed foot help you feel the extension down the leg and lengthen the leg. Hope these tips help!
Hi it's often to do with over relying on quadriceps, (big thigh muscles) like loads of squatting down etc and over use of grands plie etc. When I was studying we were encouraged to think about developing inside thigh muscles in turn out especially develope, grands battements etc. For more advice on ballet questions join FB group Planet ballet and ask away! I feel like as she's a fairy but not carrying a wand, she still needs to spread her sparkly magic and that this can be done by the use of the arms, especially the fingers.
Hi Claudia: could you make a specific video on improving arches and strengthening ankles for pointe? Your videos are super helpful, and I would appreciate it. Lots of Love from Seattle!! 💕💕
Absolutely love this tutorial!! Best way to learn a variation through a video! I would definitely be interested in learning the Grand Pas variation but honestly just any variation would be awesome! Great tutorial!
More variation tutorials like this!!! The corrections are awesome to hear while you’re teaching. I’m an adult dancer so because I’m not pre professional my studio doesn’t teach variations for pointe
PART TWO PLEASE!!! IS WONDERFUL AND THIS IS MY FAVORITE PIECE OF THE BALLET, I LOVE THE NUTCRACKER AND THE SUGAR PLUM FAIRY IS A SPECTACULAR VARIATION.
