I never thought about using an old gift card to smooth out the ink - I would always leave it sit for awhile which was a pain sometimes! Connie you are wonderful!
I never purchase a pad that I don't get the refill at the same time. These are great tips -- have never tried to reink the markers and know that will be what I do in front of the TV sometime this week. Thanks for the tips -- you are most awesome!
I add the color dot on top of my re-inker lids by turning the lid upside down and touching it into the ink pad. Quick and easy. As it starts to fade, I re-ink the lid point.
@@simplysimplestamping, thank you so much. I worked on the first spot, and inked up a second one with another color, and it worked much better. I think I'm good to go!
I have a marker that could benefit from a refill but I could not remember how to do it, so this is perfect timing! And since I'm always looking for some quick tips for my stamp class girls, I predict that a couple of these will soon find their way to a class project. Thanks, Connie....you are the best!
Connie I use the sticky color name labels, on the back of the stamp pad, and use a hole punch to punch a circle of the color and then stick it on the end of the refill. It’s quick and easy and usually I use one of the foreign language labels that I wouldn’t be using anyway.
Thank you so much for these useful tips... and for getting right to the point without a lot of useless gabbing like so many bloggers do ... you are my hero!
Thanks for these great tips !! I actually never knew how to re-ink my pads correctly. This tip was so very helpful to me. Also helpful were all the other tips. Thanks so much for taking time to help us out with so many tips and hints and tricks that you always put up on your Tuesday 2-Minute Tips. :)
I love the paper dot on top of the re-inkers! I gat so frustrated because I have so many & lifting them up out if the carousel is a long process. And I did not know you could use them in the markers! Thanks for the great tips!
Dear Connie, a big thank you from France ! I am so grateful to you for your precious tips and your wonderful energy. I am a big fan of you and am not surprised at all by your success, you definitely deserve it ! My best wishes to you and your family for this new year, with lots of new ideas to inspire us. Bisous !!! Valérie
Hello Connie !!! Newly Subscribed here 😃 Such great videos in such a small amount of time !!! I’m so thankful for your information. You’re helping me save money in so many ways. Big Hugs 🤗 P.S. I haven’t any Stampin’ Up Ink Pads. I’ve always wanted to try them. Heading over to your website 😁
Connie, I always add the refill reinker when I buy an ink pad. That way if a colour is discontinued, I still have the refill. I LOVE your videos, thank you.
Thank you for the tip about how to refresh a marker, I sure need that tip and have wondered about doing that. Also use the retired re-inkers for water coloring. Thank you.
Great tips, I’ve labelled mine with my brother but the tip with the dot on the lid is brilliant, thank you for showing how to do the re inking Thank you xx😀💚
Great tip! I purchased all the refills back in April 2018, when SU announced it's color revamp. I really like the tip about putting a little dot of color on the top of the bottle. I've also labeled mine with my label maker since some of the ink colors are a bit difficult to read.
Thanks for the fab tips Connie. I liked the card stock on the lids and the marker one. I knew a marker could be re-inked but didn’t know how. I love your videos!
Thank you, I did not know you could add rubbing alcohol to the colors I use water. I like it much better dries faster , I am in the process of collecting my ink refills one group at a time. I fell heir to some stamping spots from yrs back, they came in sets in little boxes, 2-3 colors were brought back this past yr, so excited as they are some of my favorites and I was able to get my refills. Thanks again.
Love the video. So very useful too. I like the color block with the Reiner was the best for me. I always use my brush marker to scribble but your idea is much better. Thanks!
Greetings Connie --- Lots of great tips !!! ---- I would like to add ( though it is not a tip) while being in transit for one and a half years , the ink refillers were is storage during that time --- so two winters with temps going down down to -40 for quite some time and one whole summer with high heat , the ink refillers are still doing great --- Stampinup! ink must be the best ink to work with --- many thanks for the video --- have a nice day --- Ann
@@simplysimplestamping Thank you for the well wishes --- just to let you know (because the line went through it ) it was minus 40 and that is cold !!!! ---- take care ---- Ann
Connie, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your Tuesday Tips! Thank you so much. So, is that ink refill specifically for markers or is it the same ink that’s used for the stamp pads?
Greetings again --- the computer crossed out one important fact , I don't know why , but the winter was -40 for quite some time and high temp i summer and the ink refillers did great --- Thanks --- Ann
Love this video! So many great tips I will have to try! I was wondering, does Stampin' Up only have Stampin' Spots for the Paper Pumpkin kits? I would LOVE to be able to buy a complete set of all the Stampin' Up colors in the minis!!! I have a rather small craft room and a limited crafting budget, so this option would be WONDERFUL for me!
Great tips Connie...thank you! Is there a way to revive a retired color ink pad when you don’t have a refill? I realize it will never be full color - but a friend asked me and I had no idea if possible
Thanks for the review! I'm about to attempt refilling a marker! Watercolor wash with alcohol! Will need to try that as well. Always have your tip videos with my morning coffee. :-)

Yes, it is important to not use the reinker in the pad's lid.
Also, you can do the shaving cream technique.
