Hey guys! Long time no see! I hate to upload two life update GRWMs back to back but with all the chaos going on in the past few days I haven't been able to film much and I already had this video filled a couple days ago so I thought I would go ahead and share it with you guys! I do want to be clear it wasn't the editor themselves who tried to pull on over on me, but the editing website as a whole who tried to scam me out of my money or make me take down my video! I obviously need help with making my videos look better and thats why I sought out a professional but I'm going to have to look into other options now! We will be back to unboxings, product reviews, and other videos soon! Love ya💖

Hire a subscriber!!!! Someone who knows and watches your channel and knows your content. Some times we know our favorite channels the most when it comes to editing style. My sister just dealt with that. From alcohol. She’s doing it again. We’re sending her to rehab. Also go mediterranean, I love it and I go back and forth from that to keto. I’m down 8 lbs. was taking zepbound till all the law suits and illness.

Definitely a good idea. I'm an editor and that experience - wowsa. That shouldn't happen. Auditions with a short bit of sample material would be a fun way to find a good match.

      @BuinidhMoChridheDoAlba 4 місяці тому +22

Kind if a good idea. But for security reasons, followers should be kept at a distance, because people can be crazy. Obviously not every follower is that kind of person, but Alexandria can't know who is or isn't

    • @musclesmountainsandmascara
      @musclesmountainsandmascara 4 місяці тому +6

@BuinidhMoChridheDoAlba yes understandable, but there are ways to look into people, background checks, and through an interview process. Clearly she had a bad experience through a "service" so there are always risks, but I think that it's still a good way to find some help. More than likely she will be helping someone build their resume for bigger jobs in the future. I would do it for a minimal cost if I had the experience. But I've only done one editing project for a class so. I'm probably not the best option.

Alexandria, I hope you see this. I am not an attorney, but as someone who handles legal cases and arbitration against insurance companies for a living, I want to give you a bit of guidance for the future:
If you are in a dispute, asking to cancel a contract, or asking for a refund, never apologize or frame your wording in a way that sounds like an apology.
NEVER qualify your statements with saying or inferring that the issues may be personal preference.
Clearly state the issues, item by item. Then politely demand what you think expect to rectify the situation. Do NOT open yourself up to them turning things around on you. Make them aware that you have kept ALL documentation and correspondence, should anyone in management request verification.
Lastly, this does not apply in this case, but never conduct business of this sort on the phone. Keep it to email only, certified mail if necessary, and NEVER open yourself up to a he said/she said circumstance.
I'm glad you were able to get that handled!!

    • @Tina758

Great advice. I see she has a natural inclination toward being apologetic and appeasing, but that is the worst thing you can do in these situations.

@Alexandria-Ryan no, lovely. You film a mock video, post the uncut footage to wherever you want to, and then announce to your audience that they can download it and edit it into a video for you and THAT is the job application. You must specify that this video will not be posted, it's only for you and them to see as the interview process for an editor. And it might cost you the same per month, but at least you know you are getting what you pay for.
Add in whatever other steps you like to protect your video.
Let you dad write up the contract. Be blessed!

Hi Alexandria! Please take care of yourself and fight for the care you need. Healthcare is getting ridiculous. I told my physician about some chest pain I had been having, I have heart disease and a family history, and she told me if it was a heart attack I would be dead by now and dismissed me. I have Stage IV ovarian cancer and just want you to keep an eye on your nausea, heartburn etc. If you are having bloating, feeling full etc. don't be afraid to get a CT scan.
I love your videos! You are such a sweet, genuine person 😊😊😊

I've had a fatty liver for years, lost 100 lbs, still had a fatty liver. My GI doctor monitors my liver levels and a MRI lead to a diagnosis of PSC (narrowing of the bile ducts). My levels have been stable thanks to additional weight loss (full disclosure, I was put on one of the weight loss injections because of the additional health issue - the one I am currently taking has research saying it may help fatty liver disease 🤞🏼)

I’ve been going thru the same health issues, with the nausea being the worst part of it,sometimes it is even worse than all the tests and procedures. So trust me when I say I know EXACTLY how you feel down to the anxiety, not driving, and the lack of focus even. Some of it because,up until your videos,I felt like I was the only one experiencing the stomach/liver issues and no one really understands it or how awful it really feels. I understand the diet thing too…my soul wants nothing to do with anything diet related and will rebel to the ice cream and chocolate at the tiniest thought of it lol so I went more of the route of getting more organic,no high fructose corn syrup, non gluten replacements for what I eat and eating more turkey and chicken and when I do eat beef making sure it’s lean. So if you ever want to “trade notes” or not feel alone while feeling like trash lol feel free to reach out!

Funny you mention fatty liver disease! I have lupus (plus ADHD, endometriosis, migraine disorder etc) and have had plenty of liver tests that suggest I have a bit of a fatty liver. Whether it’s a complication of lupus itself or the meds for it I take is unknown, but I don’t have any clinical symptoms to show for it.

I got really desperate when I was diagnosed with something that has very few medication options and is _not_ considered controllable by diet/lifestyle... and turned out to be intolerant to all but the most scary, black-box warning-riddled of the medications. I decided to just go for a version of the lion diet, even though I didn't know if it would help. After discovering that chicken made me anxious, I moved to just eating beef and drinking water. I stayed on it for about six months before starting to integrate other foods. I was the only patient my doctor said he'd ever sent away without a follow-up date, after being on the verge of major surgery to my condition being essentially undetectable. I wish I could've found a way to make it sustainable and still live life normally, because I've never felt better. (I had regular bloodwork done throughout, and had no deficiencies or cholesterol spikes or any other issues.)

We just had a very similar medical experience with my husband's doctor and his Adderall! His doctor who is his primary care and his med management for his Adderall is kind of casual about how poorly he eats because he is a healthy weight and on the slim side but I on the other hand am very concerned that he needs to be told to eat better so I brought him to my lady for his last physical and she was rather stressed about the whole thing, later apparently she got his Adderall refill request and denied it and it was was a whole big deal because we "switched primary care providers", when in reality during our physical she was pretty adamant about not taking him on as a patient again since he's on Adderall but she was willing to do his physical that day and just told us to make sure to go back to his other guy for a future physicals. I just thought you could see a doctor for your med management and not really need to see them for every little thing but apparently I was wrong! Eta context on eating healthy - I believe that your body needs nutrients. He eats like a teenager, no fruits or veggies, a pack of soda every other day, pizza or cheese curds for every meal etc I didn't like how his doctor would just blow that off and say he's doing fine when the human body really can't do fine like that forever 😅

May of 2023, I was diagnosed with diabetes and my doctor tried prescribing those GLP-1 meds but they cost so much to the point I was discouraged and upset that I let this happened. Well anyway, I went on Keto (or my verison of Keto) and IF and so far I have lose close to 100lbs. Keto is tough so I understand what you are saying it not being sustainable!
Now I have cut out all added sugars, soda, etc but I will eat whole foods and good whole foods that I cook myself. I don't buy fast food of any kind if I can help it and I leave my Wendy's nuggets as a treat. I will say I haven't' given up my coffee creamers and I have still lost the weight. my body eats its own fat which is wild but I am extremely happen I did the research and as you said they removed the nutrients to add sugars to keep the shelf life for an extended amount of time! Its an lifestyle adjustment but it can happen with some tweaks! I have cut out Keto completely because I just couldn't keep it up. So I still eat breads, I don't eat pasta, and I love potatoes!
I wish you luck in both finding an editor and finding a lifestyle that works for you!

Getting a Lupus Diagnosis is difficult. You have to be in an active flare to meet all the markers. I went through 8 Dr before I found "My Guy" and advocating for your own health, with adhd is hard.
I'm so happy to hear Tater is on the mend! As a Lupie, I've been using anti- dandruff shampoo allll over the ol body. Face, to toes. It most definitely helps with the DLE... SLE came with Fibro, Rheumatoid and degenerative bone density. I will say there's power in finally knowing the beast we fight.

When I was in my 20's I was diagnosed with Fatty Liver. I was fortunate, that I didn't have sickness or adverse reactions with it. Fun fact: (At least according to my Doctor) Because your body is in a constant state of rejuvenation, in 7 years you basically have a new liver ☺

Lupus is one of the most difficult diagnoses, and it takes many forms. Definitely you must advocate for yourself. Women in particular, as we know, are ignored in healthcare and we need to change that.
A Mediterranean diet is a very good idea. Good fats and whole grains, and fruits and meats! Yum!

I can relate 100%. I understand why you feel so bad about the diagnosis. I was supposed to start keto AGAIN today. I, too, have a fatty liver. But, I cannot do keto. I can lose a lot of weight but the moment I stop keto, I regain the weight in a very short amount of time. I don’t know what to do anymore. Very frustrated

One dr told me when I was tested for lupus that if u even test positive for 2 lupus test & but you we’re currently experiencing lupus symptoms they would treat for lupus & see if the patient improves cuz sometimes people can have false positives or false negatives. just trust ur gut & if u feel like ur drs are just ignoring ur complaints get a different dr (I say this to say even if ur rheumatologist appt goes bad don’t take that as the last step. I had one rheumatologist just completely ignore my symptoms but eventually went to see another rheumatologist who helped me find out what was wrong & diagnosed me as well as referred me to other specialists because I have a multi system disease that affects multiple organs so I see many different specialists for each problem

I reversed my fatty liver by eating mostly whole unprocessed foods. Basically I stay clear of the center aisles of the grocery store. I’m not perfect, but the longer you do it the easier it gets. I honestly started eating this way because I became allergic to soy and I’m telling you soy is in almost everything. Even eggs if the chickens diet contains soy. But it’s been the best thing I’ve done.

Girl, it's good to see your beautiful face! A few things I've learned: 1. Not everyone needs to like you, there are lots of people that love you 2. Standing up for yourself, I'm a respectful way, is not a bad thing 3. Medical treatment is a service and we need to be educated consumers 4. Your gallbladder can stop working and the only way to know is a nucmed test 5. Anti-inflammatory foods are important (honey, tart cherry juice, cinnamon, etc) 6. Don't borrow tomorrow's troubles, worry changes nothing but your blood pressure.

I have gastroparesis. My body doesn't digest food as fast as it should. When I am stressed out it digests food even slower and causes me a lot of stomach pain and nausea.
It took 9 months before a doctor sent me a gastroenterologist. After a few tests and two visits I was diagnosed with it. They put me on a severe diet and because of the lack of nutritional diet and the amount of food I was eating (4 saltine crackers with cashew butter and some black berries. No meat no veggies) I was concerned about malnutrition. Eventually the food I was eating on the doctor's diet started causing me pain. So I gave up on it. Started eating the mist delicious food I could get my hands on. The thought process at the time being that if everything is going to cause me pain after I eat it, I might as well enjoy the food.
Had some experimental procedures done without me realizing it was experimental which made things even worse. Went to another doctor who wanted to prescribe me an anti anxiety med but lied and said it would empty my stomach. My friend who was a nurse looked up that medication. Complete lie. I had a psychologist at the time, and he did not consult with her at all. Never got that prescription filled. Also found out all the medication I got for my gastroparesis had side effects of gastroparesis.
Through research I found out that stress reduction was the best way to fix my problem. Not diet. It took a while but through trial and error I would look at what was stressing me out and then work through it. Could I change something? If I could I made a plan, if I couldn't I had to accept that I couldn't and that I couldn't worry about unchangeable things. I started doing things that helped me relax and did meditation and aromatherapy.
I rarely have gastroparesis flare-ups anymore. If I do I follow those same steps.
Have you been to a gastroenterologist yet about the nausea? Gastroparesis is something a lot of doctors had not heard of when I was diagnosed with it. Maybe it's worth it if you haven't gone to get more answers.

Hi Alex, I got rid of my fatty liver disease (FLD) very quickly by cutting almost all processed sugar (white sugar) out of my diet. If it’s a white sugar, get rid of it. I still ate fruits and veggies without ill effects, and once in a great while (twice a month or so) I would have a raw cane sugar treat (cookies or the like). I also quit drinking any alcohol (I was already barely drinking anything at this point, so it wasn’t a big deal). Last thing, minimize things with white flour. Cook and bake with almond flour. It’s super easy to find good recipes that have raw cane sugar and almond flour. Have plenty of good-for-you fats, but avoid poly unsaturated over-processed yucky stuff.

First off, I think you might find a better editor by doing what some of the others mentioned in the comments. Having a video that those who want to apply can just edit for you might be the way to go.
Also, I feel you with the unexpected diagnoses...got blood tests due to my fertility doctor wanting to check for some things and found out I have Hashimoto's Disease (I have Thyroid antibodies...yay) and have a weak positive for a lupus test (out of the five tests I took so...). I wasn't expecting the Hashimoto's so it was a shock. Get to see an endocrinologist next month for it.
Thirdly (so many comments on things lmao), the Mediterranean Diet is great. My fiancé has a fatty liver as well and we've been on that diet for a few months now. It's easy to manage and a lot better for us overall to keep at it then the Keto Diet (that is horrid and I will never do it again).
I wish you luck on everything and hope everything works out for you :)

🤗 I'm sorry to hear about your editing experience, but that's wonderful you were able to get a full refund! Regarding your diagnosis. I had the same diagnosis is 2007 along with a VERY, VERY HIGH A1C!!! My doctor was soooo concerned and wondering HOW I was STILL able to be functioning!? But the diagnosis of diabetes along with a fatty liver really was scary. I put on 4 insulin injections per day along with other medications and was waitingto see about surgery for my fatty liver. In April 2007, I stepped on a treadmill at 319lbs and decided I would walk during my lunch hour. In one month's time, I saw a significant change in my numbers, That was June of that Same Years! so I decided to stop drinking soda and stop using regular sugar. I continued walking every day during my lunch hour on the treadmill and by July, I started encorproating weights and body weight for toning. And I changed my eating habits. I DIDN'T CUT ANYTHING REALLY out of my diet. I learned to eat it in moderation. By the end of July of 2007, I was down to One Insulin injection a day and in September, I no longer needed surgery for my fatty liver. Then by November of that year, 2007, I was down to 210lbs!!! All with walking 3 to 4 miles a day on the treadmill, eating better, drinking enough water and doing toning exercises with my body weight. I felt so much better and I couldn't believe it. Today, I still struggle but I've learned to maintain my weight and health. Am I as fit?, Ummm, NO! But it's continued to be a work in progress and a lifestyle. All this to say, YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!! YOU'RE YOUNG AND YOU CAN BEAT THIS. I was 32 when I was diagnosed. I'm now 48 and still pushing along and taking care of my health! If you'd like to see my progression, message me and if be happy to share!!!❤❤❤❤❤

You have to push and advocate for yourself when it comes to your health. My biggest suggestion is to go have your ANA checked when you feel horrible (when you are in a flare). That is how they “caught” my lupus. I know how it feels to not know what’s going on and then you start questioning if you’re going crazy! The not knowing and the pain increases anxiety and depression. Also, my liver enzymes were always elevated and they said it was fatty liver disease, however, my rheumatologist said it was due to my lupus. So I’m really going to suggest that when you feel like you are in a “flare” to go right then and insist that they check your ANA again. Don’t let them make you feel guilty or crazy for asking again. You know your body and you know when something isn’t right!

I don't want to say you have something for sure but I would try an appointment with a GI specialist. If your nausea comes on after eating (I cannot remember what all you mentioned in your last video), I would consider getting a test that checks to see your stomach mobility. I had gastroparesis, and it is when your food doesn't empty from your stomach fast enough and I am guessing it could also cause some acid reflux. It might be worth mentioning or looking into. It is rather strange and can come on randomly. I think at the time I had mine, I had elevated liver enzymes for fatty liver as well. This was about 13 years ago for me and it did eventually solve after medication. But perhaps this info might help you because it is not super common. Reach out if you are interested in talking more!
