The Class 455 are due to be replaced by the Class 701 Arterios and some of the new Class 701s have started entering service to Shepperton. And more Class 701s to enter service on the Chessington South line and to Woking, Guildford, Dorking and Reading before the end of this year.
A very interesting video as usual, thanks. Each time you film South Western services I wonder at the decision to order the 701s given that most of the franchise's modern stock was Siemens built. Certainly passengers would have been better served if a more logical path had been trodden. The 458s being reduced from 5 cars to 4 having only recently been strengthened to 5 is another odd choice. I assume they have a plan and that everything will be fine in the end!
I think the yellow pathways are the authorised walking routes for staff. Presumably he had good reason to be there. Staff working in the yard access it from the overbridge but usually head the other way once down to track level.
Always something moving at Clapham Junction. Great memories of our first encounter there Mr Boogie. Well done 🤓
Great video, thank you.

The decision to buy Aventra units was politically driven to protect jobs in Derby. The decision not to use the already agreed cab design was perverse.
Who's the guy wandering over the tracks? Or did Mr B time travel back to the 1950s?

@@BoogiesTrains I thought the Eight Foot Way was preferred over the Four Foot Way.
I'm maybe missing the point here. Can you tell me what time in the video you are looking at. Thank you.
@@BoogiesTrains Starting @ 6:41.
@@meijiturtle3814. He is on the marked walking route for staff.
