I've seen many testimonies of dying and returning, and at least some of the time God gives people a choice of staying or going back. When we pray for an older person to be healed, and they die, keep in mind that they may PREFER to go home over staying in an aging body.

I am a devout follower of Christ. My faith is strong. I do not believe in NDE's, nor do they make sense to me based on Gods Word. Also, hoards of people who are not Christians at all, before or after, alleged these amazing 'NDE's' where they go to some amazing, loving place full of light, ect, ect. I just watched some women claim she 'died' and was told she was a "spirit warrior" and now she studies all these eastern 'religions' and fuses some of her own pseudo religion into it. As Christians we shouldn't need to or even want to look to stuff like NDE to affirm our faith. Our faith needs to be in God,his word which is living and our relationship with him. It takes work, hard work, a lot of times to receive revelation. But please don't look for stuff like this to bolster your faith. Its like building your house on sand.

From watching many NDE’s on UA-cam I saw that half were talking to Jesus or God and the other half were New Age mumbo jumbo. This tells me that we can have NDE’s from God but also from the enemy to further deceive.

In Luke 15:7 it says, "I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent." Nintendo characters? Elvis? Yamatoots?
NDE STUDIES - (Los Angeles Times excerpts)......................
Researchers estimate that around 17 percent of people have an NDE. That means about 80% don't. Scratch beneath those alleged flat EKG lines, and the stories are a veritable twilight zone of inconsistencies. Some near-death voyagers claim to have met God - BUT A FEW SAW ELVIS PRESLEY OR GROUCHO MARX, researchers say. Others get to heaven not through the famous “tunnel”, but ABOARD GHOSTLY TAXICABS, FERRIES THAT CROSS THE RIVER STYX, OR SPANGLED COWS.
Even children - often touted as the best source of unbiased information - sometimes return from “death” claiming they were GREETED IN THE OTHER WORLD BY STILL LIVING TEACHERS, AND NINTENDO CHARACTERS, instead of deceased relatives.
HINDUS WHO BELIEVE IN YAMRAJ, the Hindu god of the dead, EXPERIENCED MEETING HIM. A Hindu girl "died" and WENT TO HEAVEN ON A COW. Would that mean people will be riding cows to heaven? Jews who don’t believe in Jesus or "hell", experienced God as described in the Old Testament; while Messianic Jews experienced God as Jesus.
In one study carried out, the experiences of 16 Asian Indians were compared with those of Americans, and it was found that THE INDIANS HAD ENCOUNTERED YAMRAJ, the Hindu king of the dead, WHILE THE AMERICANS HAD NOT.
Dr. Richard Eby had an NDE and allegedly Jesus told him he had to go back, and that he (Jesus) would return (2nd coming) before Richard Eby died permanently. BUT, DR. RICHARD EBY HAS NOW DIED, AND JESUS HAS NOT RETURNED.
A few hospitals have placed signs in their cardiac units - with nonsensical messages visible only from above - but so far NOBODY HAS RETURNED FROM DEATH CLAIMING TO HAVE FLOATED UP AND SEEN ONE.
You would expect, that if any particular religious account of the afterlife were true, NDEs would be pretty much the same. BUT THESE ACCOUNTS ARE SO VARIED AND ARE ALL BASED ON CULTURAL EXPOSURE. IN INDIA PEOPLE SEE HINDU GODS, IN SAUDI ARABIA IT'S MOHAMMED, ALLAH, AND A BUNCH OF VIRGINS. The kid from the book/movie Heaven Is For Real saw a Jesus with sea green-blue eyes on A RAINBOW COLORED HORSE, God with BLUE EYES, YELLOW HAIR AND HUGE WINGS, and ONE LITTLE GIRL WENT TO HEAVEN AND WAS GREETED BY A PORTLY MAN WITH A WHITE BEARD AND A RED CAP A.K.A. SANTA CLAUSE.
The Mapuche people of South America and residents of Hawaii are more likely to SEE LANDSCAPES AND VOLCANOES, whereas NDEs in Thailand and India rarely involve landmarks, tunnels or light; for Tibetans, light features more heavily, as do illusions of reincarnation. Europeans and North Americans often visualize beautiful gardens; intriguingly, the Kalai of Melanesia are more inclined to SEE AN INDUSTRIALIZED WORLD OF FACTORIES. An NDEr’s subjective experiences can be attributed to many factors: THE NDEr's PSYCHOLOGY, PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND, ETC. - NOT JUST CULTURE.
The terrain of heaven also varies wildly - from gardens, forests, or CATTLE FILLED PASTURES in some accounts, to clouds, COMPUTER ROOMS, or castles in others. A TEXAN SAW BARBED WIRE FENCES IN THE AFTERLIFE; Micronesians describe large, noisy CITIES WITH CARS AND SKYSCRAPERS.
Drug addicts, atheists, suicides, hedonists, felons (murder), abusers, and gay people have claimed to encounter heaven. Strangely, people have claimed to enter hell FOR THE SAME REASONS. Contradictions abound.
This is a wonder. Is the hereafter actually mining and refining in factories, the materials needed to build castles, cars, barbed wire fences, computers, and skyscrapers? Has the hereafter developed the tools and machinery needed to manufacture? Where is the afterlife getting the raw materials and tools needed to manufacture and construct those ever-increasing cubes, cages, and rooms in hell that some claim? And is it demons that actually do the assembling/building/placement? Or who? And, exactly which of the variety of hells do you actually go to? The Christian one? Hindu? Buddhist? Spiritualist? Muslim? Strangely, the answer seems to be whichever one the experiencer has been exposed to. Thai Buddhist afterlife voyagers claim to encounter lord Yama and Yamatoots, complete with talking dead roosters accusing them, and being sentenced for butchering and eating chickens. Does that mean westerners also will be going to Buddhist hell for eating chicken? And what fuel do those spiritual cars run on? Wouldn't the hereafter then require waste disposal and a sewage system as well? The problems are myriad.
Even in her rather homogenous western European clientele, Kübler-Ross could see the effects of early enculturation: “I never encountered a Protestant child who saw the Virgin Mary in his last minutes, yet she was perceived by many Catholic children.”
But there also are some hard-to-explain differences, Melvin Morse says. Whereas American near-death survivors are typically sent back by God because “it’s not your time yet,” INDIA'S AFTERLIFE VISITORS ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE TOLD THERE WAS A “CLERICAL ERROR.”
Even more curious: SOMETIMES THE BEING OF LIGHT IS ELVIS PRESLEY. Moody has chronicled at least two such sightings.
Yet the evidence for near-death paranormal powers remains shaky at best. TWO STUDIES HAVE FOUND THAT PATIENTS’ “OUT OF BODY” ACCOUNTS OF WHAT HAPPENED IN THE OPERATING ROOM WERE WRONG. So were the 1988 Armageddon forecasts hyped by Ring and others.
Michael Sabom, however, offers a compromise stance: He rejects the idea that they provide glimpses of a heaven or hell. "I’m not saying these people didn’t experience something odd. But I am saying that we should take it with a grain of salt, because IF ANECDOTES MEET YOUR STANDARD FOR WHAT QUALIFIES AS EVIDENCE, then you should probably start buying tin foil and food buckets, because THERE ARE JUST AS MANY PEOPLE WHO REPORT SEEING REPTILIANS AND WHO HAVE BEEN ABDUCTED BY ALIENS."
But what about veridical NDEs - near-death experiences in which the person supposedly sees something they couldn’t otherwise have known while ‘flat-lining’ and others are able to verify that what they saw is indeed correct. The most notorious example of this is Maria’s shoe. A lady named Maria reportedly left her body, floated around and saw a shoe on a ledge outside her hospital window, that she ‘couldn’t have possibly seen.’ Her critical care provider, Kimberly Clark, looked outside and saw the shoe, just as described. BUT WHEN RESEARCHERS TRIED TO TRACK DOWN MARIA TO CONFIRM CLARK'S STORY, THEY WEREN'T ABLE TO FIND ANY SUCH PERSON OR ANYONE ELSE TO CORROBORATE THE ACCOUNT. And when they placed a shoe on the ledge, it was clearly visible from the hospital room, PROVING CLARK HAD EXAGGERATED AT LEAST PART OF THE STORY. Here’s the topper. There is no record of Maria being in that hospital.
Sixty years ago, Dr. Wilder Penfield, a neurosurgeon, poked around the right temporal lobe of some epileptic patients and discovered that they would hear heavenly music, relive their pasts in 3D, and have out-of-body visions. Similar experiments continue.
There’s growing evidence that the temporal lobe plays a huge role in creating NDEs. When patients had their brains scanned after an NDE, it was discovered that they had increased levels of temporal lobe activity compared with those in a control group. That could help explain why only a small percentage of people who flat line have NDEs. When Dr. Olaf Blanke implanted electrodes into the brains of patients, HE WAS ABLE TO TRIGGER SUPERNATURAL AND OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCES BY STIMULATING THE TEMPORAL PARIETAL JUNCTION.

That said, I contrast all of it with the Bible. Many Biblical things come to mind such as Lucifer coming as a being of light, "therefore do not be deceived", "seducing spirits", the mark of the beast forming around us, the apparent end times happening around us including Tim Cohen's antiChrist and a cup of tea book and the new King Charles. But if you believe God is bigger than any one religion then you can accept that people who's spirit person leaves their body for a time and has "heavenly" experiences then come back into their body may have had a brief but incomplete glimpse of the life that waits for us after we leave our earthly body and exist as a purely spiritual being. If you take 100 people and sent them to different cities in Europe for a few hours and then brought them all back and ask them what is Europe like you would get 100 different descriptions of Europe and all them would be true but incomplete and you would still not really know what all parts of Europe is like.

There are reports of bad NDE trips involving TORTURES BY ELVES, GIANTS, MONSTERS, etc. Some parapsychologists take these as evidence of the mythical places of various religions. But, IF SO, THEN WHAT IS ONE TO CONCLUDE FROM THE FACT THAT OVER 80% OF PEOPLE NEAR DEATH DO NOT EXPERIENCE ANYTHING, neither the heavenly or the diabolical?
This is a wonder. Is the hereafter actually mining and refining raw materials needed to build castles, cars, barbed wire fences, computers, and skyscrapers? From where do they get this material and tools? Not to mention the raw materials and tools needed to construct an ever increasing number of those cages and cubes in the Christian hell, as a few claim. Who builds those cages? And which of the variety of "hells" do you actually go to? Christian? Buddhist? Spiritualist? Hindu? Muslim? Some other one? The answer seems to be whichever one the experience has been exposed to, as Thai NDErs regularly claim to encounter LORD YAMA AND YAMATOOTS, COMPLETE WITH TALKING DECEASED ROOSTERS, and being sentenced to Buddhist "hell" for butchering and eating chicken, then reincarnated as birds. DOES THAT MEAN WESTERNERS WILL UNKNOWINGLY BE HEADING TO BUDDHIST "HELL" FOR EATING CHICKEN? Thai accounts state that butchers become lumps of meat in Buddhist "hell", so what then awaits Western slaughterhouse workers?
Even in her rather homogeneous Western European clientele, Kubler-Ross could see the effects of early enculturation: " I NEVER ENCOUNTERED A PROTESTANT CHILD WHO SAW THE VIRGIN MARY IN HIS LAST MINUTES, YET SHE WAS PERCEIVED BY MANY CATHOLIC CHILDREN."
A PERSON MAY APPEAR DEAD TO OUR SENSES OR OUR SCIENTIFIC EQUIPMENT, BUT STILL BE PERCEIVING. In fact, we now have evidence that patients who appear brain dead, may in fact be capable of conscious thought. In 2006, scientists in the UK and Belgium did an fMRI on a woman in a vegetative state and FOUND THAT PARTS OF HER BRAIN SHOWED ACTIVITY WHEN SHE WAS SPOKEN TO, AND ASKED TO THINK ABOUT THINGS LIKE PLAYING TENNIS.
There is Dr. Melvin Morse's discovery of "a portal" in the brain that when stimulated, triggers a NDE. He writes that some are threatened by this, as the discovery makes the experience seem unreal.
THAT COULD EXPLAIN WHY ONLY A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE HAVE NDEs. When Dr. Olaf Blanke implanted electrodes into the brains of patients, HE WAS ABLE TO TRIGGER SUPERNATURAL AND OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCES BY STIMULATING THE TEMPORAL PARIETAL JUNCTION.

Researchers estimate that around 17% of people have an NDE. That means about 80% don't.

Some near-death voyagers claim to have met God - BUT A FEW SAW ELVIS PRESLEY OR GROUCHO MARX, researchers say. Others get to heaven not through the famous "tunnel", but ABOARD GHOSTLY TAXI CABS, FERRIES THAT CROSS THE RIVER STYX, OR SPANGLED COWS.
Even some children - often touted as the best source of unbiased information - sometimes return from "death" CLAIMING THEY WERE GREETED IN THE OTHER WORLD by STILL LIVING TEACHERS and NINTENDO CHARACTERS.
HINDUS WHO BELIEVE IN YAMRAJ, the Hindu god of death, EXPERIENCED MEETING HIM. A Hindu girl "died" AND WENT TO HEAVEN ON A COW. Would that mean western people will be riding cows to heaven? Jews who don't believe in Jesus or "hell", experienced meeting God as described in the Old Testament, while messianic Jews experienced God as Jesus. Any reports of Christians meeting Muhammad, or Muslims meeting Jesus or the Virgin Mary, or Jews meeting Guru Nanak, if they exist, have not been publicized.
Dr. Richard Eby had an NDE and allegedly Jesus told him he had to back, and that he (Jesus) would be returning (2nd coming) before he died permanently. BUT DR. RICHARD EBY HAS NOW DIED AND JESUS HAS NOT RETURNED.
A few hospitals have placed signs in their cardiac units - with nonsensical messages visible only from above - BUT SO FAR NOBODY HAS RETURNED FROM DEATH CLAIMING TO HAVE FLOATED UP AND SEEN ONE.
In one study carried out, the experiences of 16 Asian Indians were compared with those of Americans, and IT WAS FOUND THAT THE INDIANS HAD ENCOUNTERED YAMRAJ, the Hindu god of the dead, WHILE THE AMERICANS HAD NOT.
You would expect that if any one particular religious account of the afterlife was true, NDEs would be pretty much the same. BUT THESE ACCOUNTS ARE SO VARIED AND ARE ARE ALL BASED ON CULTURAL EXPOSURE. IN INDIA, PEOPLE SEE HINDU GODS; IN SAUDI ARABIA ITS ALLAH, MOHAMED, AND A BUNCH OF VIRGINS. The kid from the book/movie Heaven Is For Real, saw a Jesus with sea-green blue eyes ON A RAINBOW COLORED HORSE, GOD WITH HUGE WINGS, YELLOW HAIR AND BLUE EYES; and ONE LITTLE GIRL WENT TO HEAVEN AND WAS GREETED BY A PORTLY MAN WITH A WHITE BEARD AND RED CAP, aka SANTA CLAUSE.
The Mapuche people of South America and residents of Hawaii are more likely to SEE LANDSCAPES AND VOLCANOES, whereas NDEs in Thailand rarely involve landmarks, tunnels, or light. For Tibetans, light features more heavily AS DO ILLUSIONS OF REINCARNATION. Europeans and North Americans often visualize beautiful gardens; intriguingly the Kalai of Melanesia are more inclined to SEE AN INDUSTRIALIZED WORLD OF FACTORIES. An NDEr's subjective recollections can be attributed to many factors: THE NDEr's PSYCHOLOGY, PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND, ETC., NOT JUST CULTURE.
The terrain of Heaven also varies wildly - from gardens, forests, and CATTLE FILLED PASTURES in some accounts, to clouds, COMPUTER ROOMS OR CASTLES, in others. A TEXAN SAW BARBED WIRE FENCES IN THE AFTERLIFE. Micronesians describe LARGE NOISY CITIES WITH CARS AND SKYSCRAPERS.
Drug addicts, felons (murder), suicides, hedonists, abusers, mean people, and gay people have all claimed to encounter heaven. Strangely, people have claimed to enter some "hell" FOR THE SAME REASONS. AND THE INFAMOUS ADOLF HITLER HAS BEEN SPOTTED IN HEAVEN. Again, strangely, he's also been seen in some "hell". Contradictions abound.

      It lines up with this:
Jesus answered him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind’. This is the first and great commandment. And there is a second like it: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself’. The whole of the Law and the Prophets depends on these two commandments.”

What about NDE sin and/or karma?...........
STEPHEN T.: "I was caught in a trough under water in huge surf. There was panic, knowing I am going to drown. I realized I had to give up, I could not hold breath any longer. Sudden calmness and resignation; lost track of body. Clear and graphic life review, as if events were cataloged. Sudden transformation into a realm of timeless absolute beauty, absolute love, and absolute infinity. The radiance was literally unbearable. THERE WAS ABSOLUTE FORGIVENESS, NON-JUDGEMENT, non-duality, timeless, NO BLAME OR RETRIBUTION, NO SIN, NO KARMA."
What about sin?....J. SMITH: "I was totally aware. I was in blackness. I couldn’t see anything. I was thinking to myself, 'This isn’t the way it is supposed to be. I’m not supposed to know anything and I do. What on Earth has happened?' At that point I felt something leave my body. It was a whoosh. It went up through the top of my head. I could feel it and I could hear it. Just a gentle whoosh. At that point I found myself standing in a kind of gray mist. Then I knew I had died. This love said to me, 'YOU ARE MY BELOVED SOUL, I LOVE YOU WITHOUT CONDITIONS'. When I said to him, 'I know what’s going on. I know that I have died,' he said, 'Yes, that’s true, but you are not going to be staying here. It isn’t time for you to be here yet.' I said to him again, 'Everything since I passed over is so beautiful. Everything is so perfect. WHAT ABOUT MY SINS?' I ALWAYS FELT LIKE YOU HAD TO PAY FOR THEM. HE SAID, 'THERE ARE NO SINS, not the way you think of them on Earth. The only thing that has any meaning here is what you think.' Then he asked me a question. 'What is in your heart?' Then in some incredible way that I don’t understand at all, I was able to look deeply inside myself, really into the very core of me to my essence. I saw that what was there was love, nothing else. MY CORE WAS PERFECT LOVE, LOVING PERFECTION. I had complete love and acceptance for everything. I simply was perfect and loving. NOW THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO JUST ME. IT APPLIES TO ALL HUMAN BEINGS. THAT IS WHAT WE ARE. THAT IS OUR CORE. This love, this perfection, this God-ness."
Jesus again....L. HERNANDEZ: "I've been an atheist all my life. I had an NDE and in a few minutes my life changed completely. Part of my experience was with the one people call Jesus. Religion is not from God, I asked and was told this. THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO JUDGEMENT IN OUR CREATOR because only love, he is. HELL IS MAN'S CREATION, SO IS SIN. It's all controlled by fear.
ANITA MOORJANI: "I UNDERSTOOD CLEARLY THAT THERE IS NO JUDGEMENT on the other side, THERE IS NO MORAL HAMMER THAT IS DROPPED; I saw clearly that this is a human device used by other humans to make us fall in line with the moral majority. KARMA WILL NOT BE WAITING FOR US, TO 'GET US BACK' FOR WHATEVER WE DID."
What sin?....PATSY D.: "I was born in Kansas in the heart of the Bible belt. I was raised a devout Christian. I had been baptized by the age of twelve, and taught the words of God; all the concepts of heaven and hell, as taught in the Bible, all of which I accepted and certainly believed. I was very religious. Suddenly I was floating above my body, which was lying in the carport. I had no sense of movement and I was not afraid. I was fully conscious. As they placed my body in the ambulance, I floated along with it. He put an oxygen mask over my body's mouth and applied electric shocks to the chest three times, each time taking a pulse. Halfway to the hospital, he stopped and told the driver to turn off the siren. I was dead. I turned around and was immersed in light. I WAS SURROUNDED BY UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, AND TOTAL ACCEPTANCE. A completeness, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE and absolute safety. I knew I was complete at last. NEVER HAD I FELT SUCH SAFETY AND SERENITY BEFORE. Suddenly, I had all knowledge. All that I had ever heard or known was swept away. I KNEW THAT THERE IS NO SIN. I knew that I had existed since the moment of creation, that I shall always exist, and that all consciousness is in the act of becoming. I GAINED THE KNOWLEDGE THAT ALL PEOPLE CHOOSE THEIR OWN TIME, AND CREATE THE METHOD OF THEIR DEMISE. I floated over to my body and sank down into it. My body began to shake and the sheet fell to the floor. The nurse screamed. The doctor ran to the table. I sat up, trying to get off the table. The nurse did not want to approach the table again. Everyone in the room were frozen in place. As if their brains could not process what their eyes were observing. He told me that I had been officially dead for one hour. I went to church the next Sunday and couldn't even sit through the service. I WANTED TO STAND UP AND TELL EVERYONE THAT THIS WAS WRONG AND HOW WONDERFUL THEY WERE."

Even in her rather homogeneous Western European clientele, Kubler-Ross could see the effects of early enculturation: " I NEVER ENCOUNTERED A PROTESTANT CHILD WHO SAW THE VIRGIN MARY IN HIS LAST MINUTES, YET SHE WAS PERCEIVED BY MANY CATHOLIC CHILDREN."

There is Dr. Melvin Morse's discovery of "a portal" in the brain that when stimulated, triggers a NDE. He writes that some are threatened by this, as the discovery makes the experience seem unreal.
There are different near death experiences. As a christian believer I think that it is not fully certain that a majority of them are 100% consistent with a christian faith. (I am myself active in different christian denominations - mostly Church of Sweden (Lutheran) and The Catholic Church. (I choose after the individual preacher sundays, not denominations-so I´m a little of "protestant-catholic-orthodox 🙂 being for the unity among all christians with classic christian beliefs.) I saw a video recently where the tehologian/apologist Dave Hunt had perceived it, after looking at maybe a 1000 NDE:s, as that there seamed to be an element of th 4 lies of Eden in many of them. I´m afraid that there even may be to some extent a deceptive demonic element in some of the NDE-cases, or at least that it is not given that they all will give a correct picture of what is happening after death. That´s my take on it at this very moment.

Not necessarily. There's a very wide variety of messages coming from Entities like Jesus in which some messages are consistent with the Bible, but others not. Certainly the NDE's in which people are seen preparing for their next incarnation are opposed to Biblical teachings, since according to the Bible, we only live once. It's obvious that reincarnation is the true situation.

@@trutrek913 I actually see no similarity at all. The visions contained in Revelation are spiritual metaphors; they have a deep theological meaning, which is why they are encased, as it were, in apocalyptic language. Apocalyptic language is itself a form of lyrical speech that conveys meaning through symbolic images, whose significance comes from God's prophecies to the people of Israel throughout all of Jewish history. Some wacko's shallow hallucination of weird alien things has nothing at all to do with that.

Catholics say different thing... after you die you are soon judged and go to beyond point of return: Hell or Heaven or Purgatory... and on the last judgement you are reunited with your resurrected body and you and all will see the consequences of your unrepentant sins and good deeds on the whole humanity and then back to Hell or Heaven...

These experiences where people claim to have gone to Heaven, Hell, or Heaven and Hell are not based of fact.
Humans do NOT have a spiritual body but have a natural body, are flesh and blood and cannot enter a spiritual place such as Heaven or Hell as they are not Spiritual beings. They are terrestrial beings. it is after the first resurrection that those who are saved will have their bodies changed and be immortal 1st Corinthians 15:40. 42, 44 and 53 & 54 and be as the Angels of God in Heaven Matthew 22:30.
the unsaved at the second resurrection will be judged and undergo a second death according to Revelation 21:8
Verses from the Hebrew-Greek Study Bible King James Version Red Letter Edition Publisher AMG PUBLISHING
Whereas Angels are Celestial beings and have a Spiritual body and can reside in Heaven or Hell.1st Corinthians 15:40
As well when one says that Hell is eternal this is not true for Hell is to done away with according to Revelation 20:14.
The saved do not go to Heaven and the unsaved are NOT being tormented in Hell and the Spirit/Soul does not leave the body during a supposed Heaven/Hell experience after death as humans do NOT have a Spiritual body and or have the capacity to do this.
in Ecclesiastes 9:5 The dead know nothing.

Christian's have a new spirit. We are spirit, soul and body. From a carnal point of view, some people believe more in body and soul. When we accept Jesus and walk in His ways, we are a new creation,

For those who want to know the full story..........
THE NDE STUDIES.....(Los Angeles Times excerpts)
Researchers estimate that around 17% of people have an NDE. That means about 80% don't.
Scratch beneath those alleged flat EKG lines and the stories are a veritable Twilight Zone of inconsistencies.
There is Dr. Melvin Morse's discovery of "a portal" in the brain that when stimulated, triggers a NDE. He writes that some are threatened by this, as the discovery makes the experience seem unreal.
