Your video just popped up for me. I had Moh's surgery on my nose Dec.9. It too looked like the start of a pimple in the middle of nose that I tried to pop and nothing. I went to the Dermatologist who did a biopsy and got a call that afternoon that it was basal cell carcinoma and surgery was scheduled. From the time of the biopsy to the surgery, the bcc had grown wider & deeper. It would never have gone away on its own. It took 3 times that day under the microscope before it came back cancer free and I had a nickle size hole in my nose. The surgeon was able to do a flap surgery from between my eyebrows to right above my nostrils and then across with 15 stitches. Basal Cell Carcinoma is nothing to mess with and the sooner removed, the less invasive to the body.
I had basal cell removed from my nose 8 months ago and just noticed a new spot on my scalp near my hair line. My basal cell didn’t look like what you typically see when searching online. Mine was dark. I thought it was a new freckle at first then a new mole and watched it grow for a few years and it became raised. I only got it checked bc it started peeling, oozing and bleeding 🥴This spot looks very different and seems to have appeared overnight so I don’t think it’s another bcc. It’s bluish and already the size of my bcc which took a long time to be this size. Getting it looked at next week. Hope it’s nothing.
Ugh, so sorry. It definitely sounds like something to be concerned about and take serious. So glad you're on top of it and getting it checked out. I hope it's nothing, too. Praying everything is ok! 🙏🙏🙏
Catherine, I'm so sorry you have to go through that. Prayers that they found it early and you don't have to have much taken out. It's so important to spread awareness about getting checked. The teens I know don't seem to be any more informed than we were as kids and people don't take skin cancer seriously until it happens to them. Good luck next week and I hope that this is your last bout with it! 🙏💕
Doesn't look bad at all. I am having Mohs early Nov on my face. Worried because the spot has been frozen several times over the years. So it could be a larger/deeper area than shows!
Thank you. Still hoping hair starts to grow back there. 2.5 months later and it's still angry pink and shiny bald. However, I think the actual scar looks really good and minimal. Good luck with your Mohs. I hope you heal beautifully and have little to no scarring, and definitely no further cancer! Best wishes! 💕
I have a bcc in the same exact spot as you and the same size. My dr removed most of it with the biopsy and it’s barely there now. Having Mohs in early Nov. This video was so informative. I am worried about staples and wondering if I will need to take off work the day after surgery or longer? (I work in a school) Thank you and hope you’ve fully recovered!
@@Jayrob1220 i’m so sorry you’re going through that! We thought my doctor had removed everything but the Mohs still found cancer remaining so I’m so glad you’re following up and getting the full treatment. It’s been a little over two months for me and it’s still kind of angry pink and shiny bald so I don’t know if the hair will grow back but I’m hopeful. It will pull and be uncomfortable and tender and the bandage is not cute but you should be absolutely fine to work. You have to leave the bandage on for 24 hours and then you can go down to Vaseline and change the bandages for a week. Not a cute look but it is what it is. Hoping you have a great results and that you never have to deal with it again. Thank you! 🙏
