I would love to see a video examining the long term price potential of bitcoin (beyond this cycle/the path to e.g. 10T market cap), and asking whether and how the upper or lower boundaries of the logarithmic regression could one day be broken. And also reexamining your views on fundamental analysis of bitcoin's value - before any bull market gives no time for fundamental analysis.

I just took some btc off the table. It’s pretty clear IMO that the market is too heated. I’m expecting a big shakeout against the current bull narrative. And then the real bull market will start slowly grinding higher in a consistent manner.
I hope thats the case. I dont want to fomo in now
I don't agree with your assessment to be honest.
I know it's a tired trope at this stage - however, this time, I do believe it is different.
Institutional legitimacy is just around the corner - once that happens, I believe those who are still waiting on the sidelines to get back in will get a big surprise.
By the end of 2025, my estimate is that we will have breached $90k and will range between $90k to a top of 120k.
I'm hodling since 2017 and am not a trader, so perhaps my mindset is different than yours. Good luck to us all.
Too much worrying about charts here. Right now sentiment, belief in BTC from institutions (Larry Fink!), ETF, and the fact that everyone’s mindset has changed to hold and remove from exchanges is what is driving BTC and will continue to drive it. You can look at all the charts you want but fundamentals are stronger than ever.

If you sell 20% at high risk and reallocate near the lows (say a 75% drawdown from peak) then you’ve almost doubled your sats…
you're talking peak to bottom of bear market drops here. That's not where we are atm.

Funny, just today I was talking with a friend how we will handle selling. I believe it will be just as difficult as buying the lows. The risk levels are a great approach at keeping the fear and greed in check

I sold everything at 38k, i knew it wasnt the exact top and i havent exactly liked seeing us go to 44k BUT i am not here to nail it to the dollar, to me the risk vs reward wasn't there and i wanted a lot of dry powder to buy the bloodbath to come, now will it come? its not 100% but i feel the 55% pull back is coming and this is just extreme greed like 69k again, i refuse to buy anymore crypto until bitcoin hits around 20k and i will dca in

What makes you see a 55% pull back given the fundamentals? Might’ve been better to sell 20-30% of your holdings. Usually not the best idea to go all in/all out.

Pleb take: Ths last two peaks (high risk) have been 4 years apart. The mini peak in 2019 was 1.5 years from the privious peak suggesting that it was too early for it to continue going higher.

The 21 double top was a tough one. The fomo was strong and the risk was around .6, didn't really peak like in the first one. Would love to know how you handled that.
If i remember correctly he said a while ago he sold quite some bitcoin at the first peak (because the risk was pretty high: 0,80+ i guess). I would assume he didnt sell that much the second peak because it did not reach the 0,60 risk level which sucks because now, years later, we know that was a second peak

Ben, If "We" believe by the ETFs are iminent, wouldn't this represent a tsunami of "local liquidity" and likely represent a true paradigm shift for the risk metric? Or is this generally expected and accounted for in the risk algo?

So whenever BTC makes some gains, I’ve been DCA’ing out some profits (about 50-60%) and then the remaining 40-50% gains stay in BTC. I’m doing this because BTC will have some significant retraction. When that happens, that’ll be a good opportunity to DCA my profit back into BTC. And I’m still DCA’ing into BTC on a monthly basis (at least until March 2024)

Sure maybe a local top. That’s the point of a volatile asset like btc. It went up almost 2X on a fake btc approval. Btc can always give back those gains. But that’s why then the risk would be lower and then you buy. Sell into high risk levels and buy at lower. And if it keeps moving up continue DCA out.

Well if we did dropped from 48k down to 28k In 9 straight weeks without a green,there is no problem if we go back to that level without a red.
I think the straight 9 red candles was the first in nearly 4 btc circles ..now people are calling for correction lol,but didn’t call for correction when we dropped from 48k almost like a straight line to 17k..DCA on red big drops.

Yes, it’s called btc lol. Obviously not day to day or % to % or exact day to day. But in general yes clear cycles that tend to favor direction. Not predicting with crystal ball…. But just statistically. Most don’t have crystal ball so statistics and charts give favorable odds.
Hey maybe im missunderstood, I also think that btc will put in new highs and have a great bullrun. I just don't think it will look like the one we just had so comparing to the most recent one seems useless.@@joelgarcia3930
