@Chumba Wumba you see from the video how that cut allowed that water tower to slide without any tilt. The top of that tower could've easily hurt them. I would've thought, with that same cut, they would left enough metal at the lowest (left) part in tact, to where the tower would've been more secure and all they would have to do is pull it. I have worked in Demolition for my entire life. Any professional wrecker would say that was the wrong way to cut that down. It almost ended badly. The lift should have been parked and the burner at a safe distance before it was pulled over. We do what is called a set cut. Picture a staircase like cut, higher in the back with several inches in the front not cut. This keeps it in place until pulled and won't allow it to go backwards.
That is the one moment of this video and "Tragic accident at a work site today" because of unsafe stupidity hitting you first, before common sense kicks you like a 10ton Tower of death!! that was wrong on every level lol

It was clear it was going to slid out of the column (with ropes just attached to the top) and the tank would come straight down,... and I was here watching but freaking afraid of what I was going to witness. Good it did not happen the way I thought. Would be easier to tie a long cable at the very top, make a 1/3 cut lower in the column and pull that thing down with a tractor. It would fall in place, then dismantle...
