- If you want to join my ATT server a couple things:
Its super vanilla, no mods or anything is on the server.
Its only going to be open for about 2-3 weeks (July 29th!)

4:40 Here’s a tip - on the side, you can sort of climb up the rock and onto the hill, basically evading building the bridge. And to get back you just walk along the edge of the water. The only downside is you have to have unlocked climbing at the climbing tower.
Honestly, at that point, I would rather just make the bridge lol. But thanks for the cool knowledge!!!

I never understood the diamond in the rough saying until I played this. 2 years later I've met amazing people went on the wackiest adventures confused the hell out of new people by putting Flint in a slingshot and firing arrows and shit of that caliber if this game does die it'll never be forgotten
This game definitely has made some good memories
The materials (type of wood,type of metal etc.) your tools are made of also affect the "stats". Some metals are more durable but they can also be more heavy. Some metals can be really damaging but they can also be really hard to smith. Also you can combine ore to make alloys which us really awesome.
The game is "dead" because of lack of updates. Before the quest release, the devs were kinda "messy" and their code was more cluttered. So now after the quest release they give themselves more time to document their code and thus "the update drought" has appeared, which makes people think the devs have abandoned the game (the fact the company started developing a second game doesn't help the rumours). Also it's kinda hard developing a game for two versions (PC and standalone) so when the standalone (quest) version catches up to/merges with PC, because there some content that is missing on the standalone version, the updates would come a lot faster (albeit slower than the pre-quest release). Also you can post your video in the official discord to increase your chances of the devs seeing the video, although I'm not sure if they will... Anyway if you have any questions you can ask me or the discord server.
I didn't know wood also changed the stats that's pretty cool. Whatever the case with the updates, I just pray for anything since the crafting in this game is genuinely the best and I don't want it to be wasted.

This game needs so much more attention. All the tutorial videos are 2 years old or older.

It’s because updates for this game are so infrequent, I love this game, but it took so long even to just get the climbing tower on quest

Instead of a chisel, use two flint. It’s faster and saves on inventory space

There are two teams at Alta: one is currently working on A Township Tale (mostly focused on Quest, but in the future PC). The other team is working on what's only known as "P2" right now.

This game was cool, but it's dead. The studio has been telling us for two, almost three years that updates are coming but that ended up being a lie as now most of the team is now working on a new game. I really wanted to see this game get it's full feature list added but its just never going to happen. I really thought alta was better than this

Att used to be so good but after the quest release ruined the game, community and turned the devs corrupt.
It had so much potential but now its just rotten to the core

The devs are 24/7 working their asses off to make the game work. They created the PC version first because, well, it was made in 2016 and standalone VR wasnt a thing. So to get the game working on quest they have had to optimize it. But lately they have been putting out lots of QOL updates.
@VybeyVR idk the whole story but I'm pretty sure the dev team split and now the devs who are still passionate about ATT are trying to get things rolling again
Most of the old dev team or original members are gone. The new ATT dev team is working hard to get Quest caught up to the PC version. Once that's done, then we'll really start seeing new updates.

@@IsaacMcConce they optimize Quest and add the forest and company trials to Quest, they’ll start working on more updates.
For me, it’s not about the game, it’s about the social aspect.
My Quest server never sleeps. There are 11 people online as I type this
