@@chrisslaughter5552 You make a good point. However, I remember watching Tyson since 1987. Up until 21 y.o. Tyson really didn't fight that many great fighters. Stevenson (even at 36 y.o.) would have been by far the greatest fighter Tyson had seen up to that point in his young career. I respect your opinion, it would've been a fun matchup to see.
@@drewhunkins7192 With a American trainer they could have added punches to Stevenson’s arsenal and made him a great Professional he didn’t want the Best he didn’t beat the Best so he doesn’t get a win over our Heavyweight Champ Mike Tyson feel me but yes it would have been good to see him fight them good Pros the one thing Stevenson had he could count on is that touch of death right hand he always had a puncher’s chance against anybody our Professionals but he never beat any great fighters he got beat twice by the Russian Igor Vysotsky watch those fights that’s why I said Tyson would beat him I think Felix Savon was better than Stevenson Cuz he more rounded complete fighter Stevenson was a basic 3 punches jab right and a left hook...It’s his teachers fault he is legend in Amateur boxing
It was unfair to compare Stevenson with those guys who went on to become world champions. Fact of the matter is it was Ali in '60; Frazier in '64 ; Foreman in '68; and Stevenson in '72. So there's a damn good chance had he turned pro there probably wouldn't have been a Leon Spinks..or a Larry Holmes?
Stevenson dropped his left a ton ..... he'd have to change that habit against Holmes.
@@thomashahn631 Holmes didn't know shit in '72. Took him 6 years to become decent. Do you know how much Stevenson could have absorb in 6 years? Hell even John Tate became a champion...and he couldn't carry the Cuban's jock-strap!
@@rayhoward9644 He's 31 years old here - not 21. He has some bad habits that would get him killed by the elites. Okay, he's much better then big John Tate - so what?
@@thomashahn631 Holmes was born in '49 -same year as Foreman. Olympic records say Stevenson was born in '72. What? You know more than they do? Fact of the matter is with 6 years of training and learning he would have minced their asses

Biggs was always overrated and had really big mouth. Never liked him.
