I'm on a memorylane. We were there in 2011 with my friend. Paid $28 for beach bungalow which was around 20€ then. I still remeber walking long set beach which was completely empty except one guy building something by the beach. Now looking at google satellite images he has built heck of a lot more :D The best travel memories are from this island. We were on the beach by the fire after our bungalow bar closed with other travellers and some of the bungalow staff from the bar. Perfect combination of travellers and friendly locals getting together and you don't get that in tourist hells.
Thanks for watching. This was shot with a Canon SL2 and 10-18mm lens. No stabilization which is why I now shoot with a Sony X3000 for these casual vlogs. Anyways 🔔 Subscribe goo.gl/9JHDhP
Hi David, some questions: Can i rent a motorbike there? You know a good/better quiet Beachfront Hotel there? ( not in the near from pier..) Thanks very much for your Video. L/S/C for sure .... 👍
That swing was actually two swings. One rope had broken and the remaining rope had wrapped around the other swing and the loose plank used to be the seat from the broken swing.
All of long beach was quite actually. I have no idea what that particular place was called. I drove a motorbike through some pretty difficult roads to get to that part of the island.
The word ''Koh'' means ''Island'' so to say Koh Rong Island is like saying Island Rong Island, or Rong Island Island, maybe Island Island Rong, or maybe just wrong wrong...
That is the one. We actually demanded to be moved. The one we got originally was way up the hill and had monkey inside the actual bungalow. We paid extra for a sea view online and got a crappy bungalow with no sea view and monkeys inside so they gave us the stone bungalow.
Overpriced? What would you pay in the USA? Oh, I forgot, nowhere like this there. How about prices in Florida or California? As the Sex Pistols sang 50 years ago- "a cheap holiday in other people's misery" (though they were talking about Spain at the time).
Well I was more comparing to Thailand, Bali Vietnam etc when I said that. I should have been more clear. And yea I agree with your overall sentiment. When I went to block island in Rhode Island motorbikes were 120 USD a day to rent lol. So I know what you mean

Rong is from an ancient Khmer word which means cave. Which nowadays word is “roong”.
I booked Paradise Bungalows for NYE. I choose the expensive stone bungalow, is that the one you stayed in? You seemed to be very disapointed?

@@Edgeofdavidcheaper tour = mass tourism
Quiet expensive = maybe semi private island
the price is kinda expensive..
If you are planning on going to Koh Rong you are 10 years behind. This place is now polluted. This was once a beautiful place, but not no more.
