The fact Zelda immediately let go of the baby when she was crying in pain and fear and how she made the hard choice to give the baby away at the end of the ep to a safer home shows she was a better mother from the start. This scene makes you wonder how far down the path of night Diana really went down with Edward. It would be nice to have a flashback scene of them younger.
I want to see more flashbacks with Edward and Diana - I want to know if Edward Spellman only started working to reform the Church of Night into something more open and progressive after he met Diana or if he was always more open-minded than the whole of the coven put together.
No she is a troll and a mother of the julelads but they are not invincible they are á með after what they do like spoon licker and pot stealer and she has a husband that is called Leppalúði

Zelda had a deep desire to be a mother, she is the mother of Sabrina and Ambrose, yes, but she raised them like an aunt, she really wanted to be a mother in all aspects of the word and it couldn't be, it's so sad, life of Zelda seems so unfortunate to me. 😭😭💔
Now that Gryla is in league with the Spellmans and the newly formed Order of Hecate, I hope Gryla is a bit smarter with her yule lads. Had she pushed too far here I have a feeling either Hilda (most likely) or Zelda would've done something more.... permanent to handle the issue.

I’m really mad she didn’t give the baby to Zelda. It’s like that old story of the baby with the fighting mothers and the king. The king says “we will cut the baby in half” The one mother agrees but the other does not unwilling to hurt the baby. And the king rules that she is the true mother because only the true mother would not want to harm the baby. That’s exactly what Zelda did.
What I didn't like was that Gryla was allowed to take the baby because Zelda didn't want to hurt her. I mean the whole point of that test is that the true mother wouldn't want harm to come to the child. I know it was a trick and everything but it just made me mad. Clearly Zelda is the better mother and maybe she has not had children but she raises sabrina and ambrose and teaches them right from wrong. That is what a mother does. Part of the reason I don't like this holiday special.
Still have it and I have a few questions for the fiend that would work for me as ross is the best 👌 for the fiend to get the most most there 😀 😄 is the best
The mother was the wife of Faustus Blackwood. She died while giving birth to twins. Stress was too much for her to handle. Zelda hid one of the kids and told Blackwood that one died
What kind of nonsense is this??? Who ever haves the strength to pull the baby on there side when's the baby? Your going to kill the baby just by ripping it to shreds.
that was the point. this was essentially king Solomon's process. his was to split a child in half, and give each mother fighting for it, half the child. one mother refused to harm the child, so thus she won. by refusing to harm the child, Zelda proved herself to be the better mother, and thus won the baby.
Forget being a better mother, being a sane person without serious mental health issues would be enough for even a seven year old to know this is a bad idea. Common sense is apparently something witches lack.
Michale Graves that’s the point of this show. It’s demonic. It’s twists the biblical stories and rituals into something evil and dark. Why do you think they have sabbath and feasts? They copy and twist.

I got mad when she said I've been a mother you haven't. Zelda is a mother of two she has raised taught and loved Ambrose and Sabrina. She is a mother.
Hmmm Sabrina yes, Ambrose was already a grown man when he ended up getting locked up in Spellman Mortuary.
Pregnancy is always superior, that's the rationale.
