oh as HBM pin speed is up to 4.0 Gbps and with 1024 bit bus the bandwidth is 512GB/s on a 1x8gb chip and with the short coming of GDDR6/x 7:28 this how close Vrm needs to be to the package to be fast, this makes even a 2.5d package with a pair of 2 HBM chips that would be 16GB and 1024GB/s bandwidth in this form factor 47.5mm x 47.5mm 6:29 would be easier PCB design to work with vs Ampere package of 51mm x 51mm and even with fastest GDDR6x 12X2GB 24GB 1008GB/s bandwidth
Quick VRAM speed clock question. Like computer RAM, you double your speed, i.e 1600mhz x 2 = 3200mhz, is that the same with VRAM? I'm confused because it shows clock speeds much lower on the memory clock, about half when it's supposed to be running at 19500mhz.
Core and Memory clock that been processed inside GPU is different from our system RAM module Process in our PC. That's Why Core and Memory clock is term use of GDDR and VRAM. It's effect how much VRAM installed. Games that need to be loaded with many textures and shaders. What manufacturer's intended specification . You need to learn it more on benchmark software.
Heavily modding my skyrim game with graphics and new locations mods, my RX 5600 XT is suffering (even though cp77 runs pretty smooth on 1080p). What do I need to look at in a new GPU considering my needs? I was thinking of ASUS RX 7900 XT or XTX if it would make a big difference. My other pc specs are: CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 RAM - 16 GB corsair 3600mhz Motherboard - B450 Aorus Elite Power Supply - AORUS P750W 80+ GOLD Modular
Well, for starters, even though you could still use the same cpu, it would be a great upgrade to go with the R5 5600X, or a 5800X, which I got one for $212 recently. The R7 5800X3D has come down in price a lot as well. Did some search and your motherboard seems to support 5000 series AMD CPUs, so having that system around for a good while is good. As for the GPU, like Aledan said, a 3060Ti or an RX 6750XT are decent upgrades, you could also wait for the launch of both RX 7700XT and RX 7800XT, as prices for the 6000 series Radeon GPUs have come down significantly in the mid-range cards. The 6800 non-XT is another solid choice, with 16GB of VRAM and a good performance for 1440p. I hope you get good deals, and always do as much research as you need. Best of wishes on your upgrade.
Hey, like ur content and i wanted to know if the GPU Clock speed is important because i want to get the AMD RADEON rx 6950 xt wich have 1890 Mhz but i saw that the RED Dragon rx 6800 xt have 2000 Mhz, should i go for the 6800xt wich is 150$ less than the rx 6950 xt, even thought money is not my problem here i just want the more powerful one. Hmm I think, at the most basic, 3D graphics acceleration is not really required on a graphics card. All it need is someway to draw a frame buffer and converts it to HDMI or DP signal. With that said, graphics card without 3D acceleration is kinda useless nowadays.
There are PC hardware comparison sites like versus you can use if your upgrading that give a score & tells you exactly what's the difference in the hardware your comparing.

In my case I'd still consider myself an average person & this video is actually helpful to me as I've always overlooked these terms in reviews. (tbh didn't understand what they were saying) For people who just want to build a pc & care about results as in game performance, they'd just do the same, they'd look for which one gets the desired fps & call it a day. They won't click on this video anyway, so we're the average audience for this topic.

Hell, from the people I talk to that commission builds from me, most of them don't even know what VRAM is and expect to get 4K 60FPS from a 3050 while playing Cyberpunk 2077 on a 1080p entry level TV from 2015. As long as there are suckers or the willfully ignorant, companies like Nvidia are going to continue to pay out the ass to market them an inferior product.
5 years from now, we might not even need a GPU to game when cloud computing and 5/6G internet become the norm, just like you don't even need a Blu-ray player to watch movies.
But there are certain things, important things I must say, which needs to be locally done on our pc. Like video post processing, graphics design and similar stuffs requires high end pc.
The RX 6700 and 6800 XT's are great midrange cards from AMD that can be had for about $350-450. If you're willing to spend a few dollars more, you can find a 6900 XT or 6950 XT for about $600-$650. If you can't afford that then I'd say take up another hobby that isn't PC gaming lol.
