You did a good job recreating the Dan the Automator production style from that era he definitely was on a hot streak with handsome boy modeling school, deltron 3030 and gorillaz and is a very underrated producer making the defining sound of all 3 of those classic albums

@@mdgraller Demon Days/Phase 2 definitely kept parts of that dub sound in some tracks. But that was basically the end of it. Would love to hear Damon revisit those sounds again on new Gorillaz stuff, but I also respect that he's someone who constantly likes to experiment with new sounds and music cultures.
omg this is incredible! my favorite gorillaz album for the pure sound appeal has to be the debut or d sides but the creative symbolism of plastic beach in its dedication to the ocean definitely doesn't disappoint me at all in comparison so this is a perfect combination🥺
This brings me back to when I was 14. Gorillaz was the first band that I really got into and S/T was my favorite album by them while Rhinestone Eyes was my favorite song by them for a while. I don't listen to them as often anymore but I still love how experimental the sound in S/T is. Anyway, great job!
