It’s a difference in how long you hold the “ji” sound. Oji-san means uncle or a middle aged man, and ojii-san means grandpa or an old man.
@@MarioSonic46 so maybe is like here in brazil were you use tio(that means uncle) or tia(aunt) as an slang when we are talking to older people
in spain people always say to someone tio (uncle) when they dont know their name
