I don’t wanna give you false info. It probably says it in the manual. This was filmed at 600 miles. This was part of the standard 600 mile maintenance. I will change it now every 1500 miles. It’s probably overkill, but for the time it takes it’s not a big deal.
@@WideOpenThrottle nono i mean the tube that comes from the top of the gear case! Im not 100% sure it came from there but there is no other option to be honest! besides the oil smelled like gear oil.
isn't there a drain plug at the bottom?
I there isnt
@@WideOpenThrottle a weird design choice by Honda
it is, I have to agree, but it’s the same shit when you wanna add or change fluid on a Honda transfer case or differential on a Honda suv or truck
Hey brotha! Quick question! How often should the gear oil be replaced?

Between 750-1,000 miles would be great. 2,000 max.
what may cause the gear fluid to overflow?
Ruddy Matias like during riding or what exactly do you mean? It can’t overflow to be honest, the case is sealed up when the bolt is in.
@@WideOpenThrottle it was while riding. i believe it overflowed through the breathing tube. Maybe i put too much oil in it.
Ruddy Matias that’s not your gear oil bud. You mean the clear tube from the stock airbox?

Ruddy Matias that tube actually comes from the stock airbox.
