India we are developing Aeroplane Engine last 32 years. Mainly govt of India Research sector arms Division is responsible for it. Also govt of planing and Development which is not possible with finance. But our Leaders were busy signing memorandums with PLA. Do anything with us but no war. So that can do corruption. Then there is no need for arms. Money can transfer anybwhere like congress did with PM fund. And former PM shri shri was like Drutrashtra.

It's not easy to make 5th Gen Naval fighter. Even US has come out with FA18 block 3. So, it will be difficult to expect that India can pull off naval AMCA, when even AMCA is way down the line. So , TEDBF seems like the right choice.
F35C is ready but US navy is not willing to buy it coz it's just too costly to both buy and operate. plus there have been a lot of problems with it's landing gear, that has developed cracks when it lands and takes off using catapult. Plus it's stealth coating comes off during supersonic flight ( I have heard that this paint problem has been solved). Plus it's sensors and systems sometimes stop working. At one point in it's development cycle a lot of people working in the F35 program have said that the F35 can't fly without Self Destructing.
@@the_fabulous_p14 actually the issue with the stealth coating is much more severe for navy as they operate in salty air which is corrosive in nature and for it ( according to US MILITARY UPDATES).

At least Chinese Navy has flying prototypes now and their projection is far realistic than Indian Deck based fighter. Regarding Engine, assuming that the production variant will use same engine and hence it will have higher Infrared signature is not at all any correct assumption. Using existing Engines for prototype is a very common practice in almost every countries, to reduce the prototype pricing, before getting proper funding. Even Russian Su-57 also used the same principle. When the actual fighter will be ready, they will definitely have better engines, better avionics and sensors and better stealth because they will be enhanced parallelly with the project. I will again say that Indian Navy's complete reliance on a fighter aircraft which is not even out from drawing board...is a very poor and unrealistic decision.

A Serious Problem about ORCA or TEDBF or Even the LCA Mk-2 ..
"Considering the development cycles/phases to develop an indigenous 4.5 Gen Fighter, It will require at least till 2040-2045 for India to achieve FOC of the given projects and serial production, afterwards. Since these are 2 New Projects, expensive both in R&D and Prototype Testing Phase is required ,, the problem is 4 fold:
1) Whether India has Hundreds of Billions, if not Trillions of Dollars in Spare Budget to Develop ??
2) Whether India has the Expert Human Workforce to complete the job in huge numbers ??
3) Whether India has that ample time to get the job done ??
4) Whether India will be able to Cope/Catch up with the Chinese 5th Gen or even the Secret 6th Gen Developments before 2026/2027 ??"
Remember.,,,,,,,,,,,, AMCA cannot succeed without the Successful Development and Deployment of LCA Mk-2 and ORCA/TEDBF .. without it .. AMCA will be a bigger blunder than the LCA-Mk-1 .. Mark My Words ..

But when you make changes, let's take LCA Mk-2 for granted, the changes shown in the scaled-down models, if implemented, will require Redesigning, thus leading to R&D from scratch.. Same or perhaps worst is the case with ORCA.. Because the interior redesigning and Avionics placement isn't a day's work. It takes years, even decades to perfect and mature whether do at HAL or at Private Vendors, I dare you to bring Lockheed or Boeing into the game, even those gaints may take more than 5 years at least to bring such redesigned concepts into Prototype Phase.
You saying "Operationalizing without Prototypes" is totally childish,, sorry to say..
AMCA will either be on Drawing Paper or only a "Only good for Sorties" before complete mastering of your scattered projects of Mk2 and ORCA or AMCA will be the Biggest Blunder without mastering the above-mentioned.. Please mark these words. Take a Screenshot and keep it for the time to come.

I haven't talked about Engines Availability and Monopoly of Foreign Companies involved or in the supposed competition of the Mk2 and specially ORCA.. As they won't allow a new competition that easily.

Because it is a new self protection technology. Black smoke would deposit soot on the IR seeker of the incoming missile.
