Real quick another note to add to the video; I don't think bringing back 6v6 would solve all of the issues Tank has right now If anything, it'd just bring a whole slew of new problems Sure, we had some goated tank combos, like Rein/Dva or Winston/Zarya, but the amount of terrible tank duos was a LOT more often than we'd like to admit I'm not a staunch advocate for 5v5, both sides have their own major issues
i agree supports can play so sloppily and still get value. a good zen player is so hard to win against as tank when your supports dont mirror it and all he has to do is press E to nuke you on sight essentially.
I think if they added onto the tank passive to take all reduced augments like he said in the video, or maybe make it to where they have the ability to be healed a lot more like a almost constant ana grenade? More than that I think maybe add something to the tanks like having less damage taken the more people are damaging them to make them more menacing and harder to melt, thats just my opinion though.
i get where ur coming from with the healing thing but healing numbers are already ludicrously high as is right now lmao we do not need more healing circulating in the game
You can have a crappy support and still win most of the time. If you have a terrible tank it's game over. I don't think tanks need to track every cooldown. They just need to know when to take space and who to prioritize killing. If a tank just wanders around or doesn't know what to do or who to kill first it feels bad.
2 options.. either make it possible to any tank win any other tank. stops counterpicking. like.. give rein some form of healing or something. or... bring back 2 tank setting. Like how most of open queues go. 2 tanks, 1 dps , 2 supports. (tho.. often its 2 tanks 3 supports..)
For me, the major reason tank was better in OW1 was because of 6V6 or rather there being TWO tanks.. therefore, you had more freedom as a tank player and also choice. Now, in OW2, we're left with this awkward roster of tanks that are extremely out of balance and with certain tanks not being able to be played to their full potential. Personally, I think the choice of two healers over two tanks was ridiculous because the only issue would be some supports being limited to single target healing. As for counter swapping.. honestly, they should have just put a limit or cooldown for swapping. There aren't many games where you can swap OFF your characters or class. Instead of 5v5, counter swapping should have been nerfed a bit just like role swapping was pretty much eliminated with Role Queue.
Realistically theyll never go back to 6v6, idk why people keep harping on that point. Sure we can theorize what it would be like now, but it just wont happen. The thing about solo tank is, the devs want RPS gameplay for them, for every hero. Theyve stated thats their goal. A) that feels like shit to swap off a character you have fun with and B) the tank balance feels horrible currently. When Orisa, Hog, or Ball are dominant, the game just sucks because Orisa is boring and the other two are hard countered by said OP supports. Just dodging comp this season is the answer

I'd really love to see a 6v6 game mode
Even if its limited time in comp it would be nice
