hello, so as I've been listening to the entirety of lands of delight, I started to notice some interesting themes going on and I assume that maybe there's an actual story involved. so, the story starts at dawn (dawn fall is the first song in the album) - that should be kept in mind as it seems to set the mood for the entire adventure - the second song seems to set up a sort of evil? or it prepares for the antagonist's appearance (echoes follow, as in something is following our "protagonist," ill get to the protagonist in a second). vertigo queen seems to act as some sort of theme for the antagonist, ill call the antagonist literally vertigo queen for ease, but I'm pretty sure this vertigo queen is the devil or some sort of ancient evil? (i assume its the being in the album art) during the night comes "neolithic fantasies," a very weird, tribal-esc song, very absurd and weird, and taking from the name, we also have a time period - the neolithic. alongside the time period, we have a theme "fantasies," I assume that this song is to make it seem like there's some sort of party going on in a primitive village (ill explain why its a village later on), and that would mean that our "protagonist" is actually just the entirety of the village (more proof on that later on). they party and have fun when a beast attacks them, this is where "flame devourer" would start, the fire-eating (?) beast would try to kill the villagers and a huge fight breaks out (the entirety of that song is super tense and a lot like a fight theme), but, in the end, the villagers seem to win, as shown when the sudden buildup happens and the whole heavy metal section breaks loose (you can hear the people screaming angry, like a mob, most likely finally getting a hand on the beast and hurting it), and then a sudden strike happens and that seems to be the moment that they kill the beast. as to what the beast actually is, or where it came from, it could either be the vertigo queen itself, or could be a familiar/summon of theirs, who it made attack the villagers to consume their souls/power (much like the devil would get stronger the more people entered its realm). in crimson summit, we see the outcome of the battle, from the title we can make out that a lot of people died in that fight (crimson - blood color, summit, means that the summit of some mountain was filled with the blood of the dead people and maybe of the beasts as well - if the beast has blood). now, in prosperity of all humankind, we can find out a little bit more about this whole deal: first, we now know that the humans won and now they may live in peace as they're "safe" from the flame devourer, (maybe not knowing anything about the vertigo queen?), we also know that the fight happened between a village and the beast (all humankind - most likely "all" just means that village) and, lastly, from the tone of the end of the song, we're sure that the vertigo queen is *not* done with them, but she saw that they can pull their weight and left them alone for now. that's it, a lot of talking and analysis, but it was fun noticing all of the small details. I'm also pretty sure that my story may just be made up and actually has no correlation with what Alon Mor wanted to convey with this album, both symbolically and literally, but hey, it's just what I noticed and I really love the entirety of lands of delight, specifically neolithic fantasies, so yeah edit: paragraphs lmao
I think it's more about the battle that is humanities emergence from the dark ages and evolution. Based off the titles and the musical themes I would say "dawn fall" is about humanities emerging out into existence, ie the beginning of humans as a species. "Echoes follow" is a very dramatic musical piece, about how humans very quickly dominated the planet and other wildlife. Echoes here referring to the consequences follow eradication of much of all the megafauna on the planet and human hunter gathers placing them self at the top of the food chain. This also fits together with "vertigo queen" as humanity masterfully maneuvered through the chaos it had created for it self. Even though we created a lot of extinction and chaos we stood firmly at the top, as the queens of vertigo. "Neolithic fantasies" is probably about humanities fantasies about what if we could be more than mere predators, it's about the emergence, agriculture and the formation of civilization. "Flame devour" refers to humanities harnessing the power of the elements and the industrial revolution. "Crimson summit" Crimson is almost certainly referring to blood as crimson is the color that matches blood, the summit of blood probably refers to a major devastating war if not the most devastating war. I think it's probably that both ww1 and ww2 are referenced in "Crimson summit" as there two very dramatic parts in the video, and in between these two parts is some uncharacteristically happy music maybe referring to the 20s, it even has some jazz vibes! "Prosperity of all humankind" quite literally refers to humankind and is a pretty peaceful song. I think it's about the post ww2 years, it start very depressing and sad but moves to some music that I would best describe as transcendence. I hope Alon is right and we don't have yet to go through the real crimson summit.
5:35 is the part where people really must think i'm a lunatic when they see me in my car driving home from work

@@samuel28858 i really like your interpretation :')
For me this song represents live and death, It goes off-on-off.
It starts as something nostalgic and ends as a trauma fading away with death, also the end can be a brain deteriorated by dementia.
Favorite of the album right here. I love how this one just _envelops_ you.
5:35 is absolutely stunning
Feels like I'm under the earth, dancing around with beetles and tree roots
So many sounds
This is a high density song that fits well my ADHD and how I feel my brain is acting when I let my thoughts running wildly
This might be one of the most unsettling and terrifying songs I’ve heard. It is amazing.
It’s like if jazz music took mushrooms, and had an ego death
I have severe sleep paralysis.
This just sang a song about it
the chain of centuries is hidden in the body
the immortal coil twists through time in us
INSANE! excellent sound design, truly inspired atm.
this is absolutely insane
love it!!!
