@@JonsRainforestRoom lol. Right now it actually has guppie fry and endlers in it. With a couple of ghost shrimp and 2 baby bristlenose not even 2 inches big yet. But i want to keep the endlers and shrimp in there, and gonna look at some other micro fish. I posted a video of my 55 gallon cube on my channel. Video sucks hahhaa its really the first one I have ever done. I ended up having to re scape it due to issues with the soil, and then again after several of my fish started showing signs of Camallanus worms. Ugh.
Hey thanks for watching. No it didn't need cycling as I used the same filter that has been on this tank for over 2 years. As there was established media I could add fish straight away 👍
I had a saltwater fish tank when I was younger. However, the tank had an algae bloom that I didn't know how to handle and things went south. That was about 15 years ago. I'm hoping to get back into the hobby with the same tank and do freshwater with a cool aquascape like yours. It's a nano tank in the shape of a cube. And it has a halogen light. Would I need a different light? And would a tank of this sort be well-suited to a freshwater tank? Thanks in advance,
Hey thanks for watching my video! Glad to hear you are getting back into the hobby. I'm sure it will be a good tank for fresh water. Algae is always something that can get you down and make you want to start again or give up. I would recommend a led light as its cheaper to run and really helps plant growth. I have a lot of nano tanks if you wanted to check those out for some ideas. Good luck with it and let me know if you need anything 👍
How much did he spend on plants that’s the only thing that’s holding me back!!! I have a 20 long here that I want to do something like this to but I feel like it will take over 300 dollars in plants. I’m new to the hobby so that price tag is scary to me
I think I spent £100 on plants. Moss is always a good choice if you are on a budget. I would consider spike moss. I doubled the amount of moss in a week and then you can add more to the scape as you trim it. This scape looks a lot fuller because all the plants are attached to the Hardscape close to one another 👍. I would start out small if you dont want to spend too much and allow it time to grow in. Hope you get yours scaped soon 😁
I have a jungle of a 20 gallon & I spent a good 150 at least. Shop around, see if any aquatic plant sites having sales. Very few fair priced ones on Amazon so beware over there. Careful at petco, half are terrarium plants not aquarium. Good luck!
Amazing scape honestly, looks way bigger than a 20 gallon long nice job man 🔥🔥👏🏽
Thanks mate I really appreciate that. I know everyone says that 😁
Your videos are helping me get back into the hobby, keep up the great work!
Thanks mate! That means a lot 👍
Very cool man! I got some great inspiration from this video. I have a 20 long i am trying to get ideas for scaping.
Thank you for sharing!
Thanks mate I really appreciate it! Cant beat a long tank. What you going to stock it with? No problem, thanks for watching?
Didn't mean to add a question mark at the end lol

this is beautiful!! what kind of wood did you use? i want to make a similar setup for my 20 gallon also.
Thanks very much! It's just some old spider wood 👍. Good luck with the new scape 😁
@@JonsRainforestRoom thanks so much 😁😁🙏 and youre welcome. thinking of adding a dwarf gourami, 8 cpds and a few cories 👍
Looks great!! Looking forward to the paludarium build videos
Thanks Lee!!! Same here. I havnt made a bioactive setup for a while now
Butaful tank
Thanks mate!!!
Might have missed it, did you cycle the tank before adding the fish?
Hey thanks for watching. No it didn't need cycling as I used the same filter that has been on this tank for over 2 years. As there was established media I could add fish straight away 👍
How long did these fish live?
Where did you find a lid for the 20 long? Did you just glue the light on the lid? Thanks for the awesome video. Beautiful tank
Looking great. What's the length of the tank!
Should be 30l x 12w x 12h. (Inches)
Can you make a list of how many of each fish you added ?
Superglue safe for the fish and plants?
Yes as long as it is cyanoacrylate based superglue. I have even used it underwater with fush in for years and no problems at at 👍
and is there a cheaper filter you would recommend?
How much are you looking to spend?
what kind of light and heater do you use?
Hey thanks for watching. Its a arcadia RGB strip and a simple glass heater. I now have a Oase 250 Thermo filter that has a heater in the filter 👍
U should by angle fish for ur tank
I used to house angelfish in this tank but they have been upgraded now 👍. There's videos of this tank with the angelfish on my channel though 😁
man where do you get your driftwood??
I think i had those pieces from ebay. I usually get my hsrdscape from aquarium Gardens or riverwood aquatics 👍
@@JonsRainforestRoom thanks! And is there a place you buy your tropica plants?
Anywhere that sells Tropica plants. But I use aquarium Gardens, aqua essentials, pro shrimp UK, scaped nature, riverwood aquatics.
@@JonsRainforestRoom thank you :)
@@ABones-bm3vq no problem 👍
