My first idea was to draw only White Diamond, then I decided that would be great if I make all four of them. So I saved White Diamond for last as motivation. But something went wrong and I lost all of my passion and inspiration in the middle of the process (It's been 2 years jeez I wonder why haha. I can't believe time flies so fast). I'm not saying it turned out bad but I think I could have done it better if I had drawn it at the right moment.
So don't do that, guys.. If you want to draw something, do it! Don't plan.

Dont wanna be that person but you are right about White Dimond not turning out the way you wanted, I feel you lost the general theme for your illustration of the diamons in this one specially and while it looks really stunning and creepy. I was expecting her to look or feel something very similar to your Cat God illustration but still with the same design approach you took for the diamons (also if you read this comment whats that weird thing with an eye on its forehead that seems to be your roommate at the beginning of your sponsored videos?)

Ok but can we appreciate the lighting tho? Not only does it look amazing but you can see that In blue diamonds picture its coming from the left, in yellow diamonds from the right and pinks from above while white diamond radiates the light

im pretty sure thats to mimic their positions. white is the supreme leader, while blue and yellow are her right and left hands respectively, and pink was the child- it represents white’s superiority over the others and her own inflated belief that she is the superior diamond and gem

Ive always preferred an evil WD. First impressions upon seeing her was like seeing this (ofc this is way more intimidating) 😂 kinda wished they kept her as a villain.

Also i was exaggerating, what i really mean is that i wish shows like for ex: Alta werent created by these kid channels bc it restricts a lot by this kid-friendly wall, not saying there should be sex and gore and repeated use of foul language but something like... marvel movies? Idk how to explain it. (Nonetheless they were fine to me)
@@nihil3137 Yeah, I agree with you, the thing is that the gems had so much potential, and to be honest I wanted to see more of the homeworld or colonized planets cause we almost saw nothing of it :/ Plus I really don't like how they made the diamonds "dramatic" or being so nice just cause they found "pink"...Like come on they were super abusing towards Pink. The diamonds are people who stick to the rules why would they just go "OMG Pink, becaUse I fouNd you AgAIn I aM gonNA becOme NiCe", but this is a "kid" show so I understand that they have to make stuff like that but you know deep down I wanted so much for SU to go more in-depth about the gems and that the crystal gems can't always win, etc... (I still enjoyed the show tho) also sorry for my bad English :')
this is my favorite Diamond series, you captured their spirits really well.

Damn I love how you made the diamonds more like actual alien creatures. In the original show the look like giant ladies but in your style they look non-human and all of them are scary in their own way :0

“Time to come out.. Pink~”
White picks up Steven and slowly pulls on his head, ripping it from his body. She uses her sharp nails to cut a circle around Stevens stomach, pulling out a chunk of flesh that his gem is attached to. His organs fall out from hundreds of feet in the air. White pulls out Pink’s gem and drops Steven, leaving his disemboweled body to fall and go *splat* on the ground, covering the Gems in Steven’s blood.

@@omni8568 As Connie screams in terror, a bit of the blood on her face from the organs impact onto the ground, she passes out from the sheer force of her wail. White diamond chuckles softly at her lifeless body and bubbles Connie away, to shrivel and starve away in a bubble, if dehydration didn’t surely get to her first. However, White knew nothing of the human body and didn’t really care to. Suddenly, below her, the chunk of meat emits a soft pink glow. Out comes Pink Steven. As he looks up to White Diamond, he screams in terror as she poofs him with her foot. She steps on him hard enough to poof him, but not too hard, cautious as to not crush his gem. She’s trying to bring Pink back. Frustrated, she picks up and holds Stevens gem tight in her hand, as to prevent him from forming once more. She calls in Blue and Yellow’s pearls to help Pink Diamonds pearls clean up the bloody mess. As the mess is quickly cleaned, she orders them to bring forth a rejuvenator. She then rejuvenates Blue, Yellow, and after Pink Steven reformed for the last time, she rejuvenated him as well. She regained her composure as the three gems began to glow. They all formed, and were greeted with a warm, “Why hello there Darlings.”
I read this right when they showed the full ilustration and I swear, my heart jumped. I was watching the video muted and heard wd in my head when I read this 😶

Something cool about the four of them together is how they kind of represent their ranking and how they appear on the insignia. Pink is seen from a downward angle, Yellow is looking to the right where her placement is, Blue is looking straight at us on the same level, and White is towering over us. I'm guessing it was unintentional, but it's still cool
Because of how brightly White Diamond shines, it almost seems like she is the light source in every other Diamond artwork. They are all looking at something, and the light is pointing a different direction in each one. Almost as if they are in her presence, and she is looking down upon them. Super cool. Great artworks!

Edit: Omg I just realized something! I was at the end of the video (for like the 5th times) when I noticed that the light comes from different angles in every diamond portrait. If you imagine "the great diamond authority" symbol, the light on every portrait comes from the direction, where is white in the symbol...

Jesus christ the art captures the magnificence of royalty and the fear one will have when faced to faced with them.
I absolutely love watching this!! I love that we can see the artist try different poses, change ideias... and still end up with this masterpiece! It was wonderfull to watch and makes me feel much more inspired than seeing artists doing everything perfectly on the first try.
If you were to arrange all these portraits so that white is on top, pink is on the bottom, yellow is on the left, and blue is on the right, then the directions of the light source is coming from white in all of the pieces which I think is pretty swag
I am always surprised by seeing these illustrations, no matter how many times I repeat them, it always impacts me

That darkness that characterizes each image but with a touch that differentiates them and makes them unique. I've been following you for a year to see how you solve them! This is the most realistic but its the most scariest for me
this is personally the best out of the 4 of them
I like how even the sketch in its most basic form is better than a lot of the stuff that I've drawn. When compared to you, I tend to give up too easily when met with resistance. You on the other hand kept sculpting away until it was masterfully done.
I love the amount of depth and horror you bring to these characters! It's so cool to see them in a new genre!
