TYPHOON IN OSAKA ON A PREMIERE DAY | CIRQUE DU SOLEIL 🎪

This episode is about our first days of arrival to Osaka at our Big Top 🎪 site located at Morinomiya area. This is our second city of Cirque du Soleil japan Tour. We stayed for over 5 months in Tokyo and after a 2 weeks-off on vacation in Indonesia we arrived to Osaka - a designated city in the Kansai region of Honshu in Japan, and one of the three major cities of Japan (Tokyo-Osaka-Nagoya).
Normally Cirque du Soleil's Japan Tour takes like 1,5 years but... due to pandemic our promoter was afraid of going for that long for smaller cities in Japan. That's why unfortunately our tour got shorter. But anyway i'm really happy i finally got to Japan. It was my dream to have a tour in Japan with Cirque du Soleil. I've heard a lot of positive feedback. And you know what - it even better!😊
Anyway... let's get closer to a Cirque life 🎪
Our technicians arrived earlier like a week before our cast to set the tent and everything needed. But you still see that we help each other to make our training area set and comfortable to the standards.
Like normally first day at work we set everything and we have a regular training. We roll out all the matts, gym equipment that travel in a road cases and containers, our personal belongings like our mirrors, makeup and all other things.
Second day - we had a blessing ceremony in Osaka (we had one like that already in Tokyo but that time I wasn't making a vlog 😊) called - Shinto - a private and individual event, in which a person at a shrine (or in their home) prays to particular kami either to obtain something, or to thank the kami for something good that has happened.
Typical ritual:
Adoration - bowing to the altar. Opening of the sanctuary. Presentation of food offerings (meat cannot be used as an offering) Prayers (the form of prayers dates from the 10th century CE) Music and dance.
Also that day we had a dress rehearsal - it's a full show run with all the acrobatic tricks in costume and makeup and smaller audience : invited guests, friends and family etc.
And the premiere day... my last premiere with Alegria. Write down in a comment your guesses where am I going to? Another Cirque show?😉
By the way on our premiere day our colleague-tecnician Luc Deslauriers / luc.deslauriers.7 on that day 30 years ago started with Alegria and 30 years he's still working and is a part of our big Cirque du Soleil family! I think that deserves a like 👍 to the video.
By the way... I feel even more proud of Luc because I know him from my first day at Cirque du Soleil and my first show - Quidam. We met first time there and we work there together for 5 years. After we were working on different shows but luckily we are back together on Alegria 😊
End of the show I realized again that this show is very unique and for sure I'll miss it 😢
The evening finished with a great dinner with a toast of champagne 🍾 (nonalcoholic) after the show cheers 🥂
