    Hi! I am back!
    I finally replaced my fan, disconnected battery first, then I went forward to disassemble the fan and install the replacement one.
    The laptop finally does not make much noise and its peaceful here, aside from enjoyable.
    Thanks a lot for this tutorials!

      Regarding your question, there is not much to it, the next step is removing the motherboard screws and detaching the cables and under is the metal plate that is revit with plastic and keyboard under, for e.g check this video after once i remove the motherboard and you will get an idea how to change the keyboard and you will not wish to even go there, the steps are identical for keyboard replacement.

    You did a good job.. those thermal pads were in good shape so it is fine to reuse them. I do take issue with your use of MX-4 though. On Ryzen 5+ series where 90c+ is normal briefly during all-core CPU loads this WILL break the mx-4 down fast. On these thick is better-coolermaster maker gel, syy, etc. Otherwise..you will be back in there. If you didn't bench it before-Cinebench r23 CPU multi w/hwinfo64..you want to pay attention to CPU Package power. 60w or 54 long@90C is ok. 30W@99C is not and indicates missing paste or other issues.

      regarding your issue with Mx-4 i would agree with you my friend but we have tested the mx4 benchmark and on every core temp and we have not yet seen a mx-4 breaking down, also i recommend this paste because of the price to performance, and its for laptops that are not overclocked or used to for rendering. for the high performance GPUs and work station i would recommend as you say tick paste as "thermal grizzly kryonaut extreme" that we do love it for durability and awesome 14,2 W/mk
      there are many pirated mx-4 on amazon btw that are like water base ( we purchase from reliable source and it's nice a pasty)

    hello, how often should i clean the fan? i got the laptop over a year ago and am not sure when i should clean it and am very worried i'll damage the laptop :/

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  6 місяців тому +2

      🫠Regarding your question, the frequency of laptop cleaning depends on its usage and the cleanliness of the room. If your area is always dusty, the laptop may need more frequent maintenance.
      Normally, if you use the laptop daily for over 5-6 hours with medium to high load, I would highly recommend servicing it every 8-9 months. Once you open, clean, and reapply thermal paste, take note of the date. After the next 8-9 months of similar usage, open and service the laptop again. Pay attention to whether the thermal paste is dry and if the fan and airway are clean. Based on that, you can determine if you should extend or decrease the time between services.
      There is no exact schedule for everyone, so don't let anyone fool you with a specific number. It all depends on the user, workload, hours of usage, and environment.
      Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

    Is there any other way than using an air compressor to clean the fan?

      @uFixTek  Рік тому +2

      Thank you for your feedback! If you wish to support the channel, you can like, subscribe, or both!
      Regarding your question, you can BUT make SURE YOU STOP the fan from spinning when blowing with air compressor else it will generate voltage back to the board,or to be safe disconnect the fans from motherboard.
      if you want to clean the heat-sink and fan without removing the cover, it may not be a good idea, because if there is a enough amount of dust in there it can get pushed into the fan and lock the fan.

      @@uFixTek why don't using thermal pad in GPU or CPU ?

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  Рік тому +1

      Using a thermal pad on a CPU or GPU is not recommended because thermal pads have lower thermal conductivity compared to other thermal interface materials like thermal paste. Thermal pads are typically made of silicone or other insulating materials, which can impede the transfer of heat between the CPU or GPU and the heatsink.
      Thermal paste is specifically designed for this purpose and provides better thermal conductivity, allowing for more efficient heat transfer. It fills in microscopic imperfections on the surfaces of the CPU or GPU and heatsink, ensuring better contact and heat dissipation.
      While thermal pads may be easier to apply and offer some convenience, they are generally not as effective as thermal paste when it comes to heat transfer. Therefore, it is recommended to use high-quality thermal paste instead of thermal pads for optimal cooling performance.
