My favorite parts of this are where the parts are taken off the lathe after being “machined” and thrown across the floor, bouncing off of other already machined parts, and carefully throwing the shipment ready parts into a steel truck bed and bouncing off other parts again! Never saw any type of caliper, micrometer or other measuring device used in any machining process! The guy that threw the gear-drum on the drill press did no locating or center punching of holes, just tossed it on the drill press and immediately started drilling! Would love to know what the service life is for these things! I was impressed by their foundry operation, as it was clear that those guys knew what they were doing even though they had only the most rudimentary equipment to work with!
