Gurren Lagann fanbase might not be the biggest in the anime community as AoT fanbase but we know it does not matter. TTGL is one of the best animes of all time thanks to its message something everyone fights for. The power of will is something real even if you believe it or not. It is there in every human being.
@@xvjoserra04gx95 GL might be a smaller anime, but Ive never seen something like it man. Its so fucking unique and amazing.. really raised the bar for mecha animes. The message in this show was simply perfect, instant dopamine rush whenever I think of this show... lol!

Sincerely thank you for taking a moment to put that message out there. And you're right, I did. Life is full of challenges that can be intimidating, that can scare you away from attempting them, or into putting them off indefinitely until you're "ready," but when I listen to this music I feel like I can do anything, doubly so when I know someone else came through this same place to share that experience. Gurren Lagann is all about how "yes" can and must win out over "no," how "This is just the way things are" is nothing but a lack of imagination and courage, and how you can always grow beyond who you thought you were before, while holding the compassion, wisdom, and humility to leave space for others to do the same in.
In Gurren Lagann they only succeeded because they supported each other, and even in a situation as laughably flimsy and ephemeral as strangers passing by on the internet, these tiny messages of support are still a part of your day and still something that gives you just one little bit more energy to weather a storm or clear a hurdle. It's not nothing. A torrent of it together, all focused in the same direction, is part of the "power of the human race" Simon was glad to show to what stood in his way.

yknow, it's a common misconception that nihilism is a pessimistic outlook on life. While it still expresses the idea that life is meaningless or has no value, you can choose to interpret it in a positive way. If everything I do is meaningless, then why not do things that give me pleasure instead of suffering? With that mindset, you sort of begin to blend nihilism with hedonism which i think is pretty neat.
@@helios_the_boundless502 Nihilism is basically existentialism unrealized. Nihilism starts with "life is meaningless and has no inherent value," it fails to make the jump to "FUCK IT, I'LL MAKE MY OWN MEANING, THEN!"
Even then, we go beyond existentialism. We give meaning not only to ourselves, but to others, to those we love, to those who hate us, to everyone we touch in our lives. An endless spiral of meaning, spreading out from every person to every other person. *THAT* is true humanity.
Gurren lagann is the one thing you say run doesn't go with, because the soundtrack was perfect to start with.

I felt like shit today, felt like shit in the gym yesterday. Keep fucking going for the horizon, these days I feel more like shit than good but through tooth and nail I keep reaching for the ending sun in the horizon to hopefully be able to pull it back one day, to one day finally feel the warm rays of the sun on my face knowing that I made it, and that I can do it, I did it, I made this happen. Sometimes you can’t count on friends and family to pick you up when you are down and I realize that it’s hard on a horrible day to pull your way through the dirt and do something but you can do it.
