I rank Quincy, Geraldo, Ezili, Pat, Gwendolin, Obyn, Striker Jones, Benjamin, Churchill, Psi, Adora, Brickell, Etienne, and Sauda to see which hero is best and which hero is worst in btd6.

imo Obyn is a great early-mid game tower
I absolutely love Obyn, if you do bottom path druid spam his buffs increase their damage output a lot for cheap. The fast attack speed can make sustaining things like alch buffs on a group of poplusts expensive, so that permanent pierce is great. I was very surprised by the F tier.
Obyn is definitely not worse than freaking Quincy, #JusticeForObyn

No shot obyn is in F tier, the obyn druid strategy is extremely strong and very easy to get down and it can clear all rounds from round 50 to 80 no problem whatsoever (without the avatar of wrath)

He can also see through obsticles, his attack targets, and his level 11 buff is amazing.
Just use gwen cause she's way stronger.

Only thing i have to say is that I don't think Obyn deserved F-tier, he's the tower I have won most of my chimps maps on! He is definitely able to hold his ground pretty well, as well as helping with bananas, buffing magic monkeys, and slowing/blocking bloons with his trees. His trees literally EAT the DDT bloons

Obyn
- Relatively powerful against early bloon rounds but hampered by the fact that he can’t be afforded on r6. Main attack falls off in power lategame or even mid.
- Brambles are decently powerful earlygame but are reliant on RNG for pre-placement. - Wall of trees holds very little RBE relative to the strength of other heroes level 10 abilities, but can be a crutch for r63, 76, 78, and stray bloon leaks, and can now be aimed, removing RNG.
- Totems are pretty good lategame for slowing down waves, although not as potent as before.
- His buffs to magic towers are outclassed by Gwen/Pat/Geraldo

One reason why Geraldo doesn't have to be nerfed is that he is completely "hands-on". Sure, all heroes have abilities, but sometimes you can just set your monkeys up and relax. Geraldo's entire strength comes from his shop, so you need to be constantly on top of things to keep him rolling.
I think it does help that unlike other heros you have to keep investing money in Geraldo to get much out of him, though it is still a bit nuts what all he can accomplish on his own
He may be hands on but if you do pay attention and use him effectively no hero comes close to his ease of use and versatility
I actually couldn’t agree more this is the worst hero for someone who just plays with ease and doesn’t care for pro strats but if u play the game with strats and true game understanding and all the stats of each monkey he becomes a god. He is definitely OP but I also think he shouldn’t be nerfed because you have to play him so different every match to utilize him to his max making his very hands on and lots of paying attention to detail like exact rounds and what not.
He has the best synergy with Tack Zone and Sky Shredder with the pickles alone. Add everything else and you're unstoppable.
Pretty sure he was confirmed to be getting nerfs and for good reason, even if you use him very casually he's insane.

F tier usually means unusable, which Obyn certanly is not.
I agree, F is ussually for heroes like ben in a chimps tier list or psi in a boss bloon tier list
F tier means unusable or very niche, which Obyn certainly is.
Obyn is worse then most heroes, but he FOR SURE is better than Quincy (and Ezili, she is the worst hero afterall)
@@badcatgames783 1. ezili is very good hero, far better than gwen quincy obyn sauda and adora, she's just difficult to use for unskilled players 2. quincy has more valuable earlygame power on chimps because he can started with, making him viable on infernal and muddles. plus he actually does damage relavent to lategame, unlike obyn.

ezili is actually amazing for alternate bloons rounds, she has camo and lead popping power right away, so you dont have to worry about those. plus, theres way more regrows on ABR so her level 3 has some use. and at level 9 she can remove camo and fortified off of smaller bloons, which is helpful for the extra fortified ceramic there are in ABR.
edit: i didnt mention, but i find putting her targetting to strong gets the best use out of her. her DOT is quite strong, so getting her to target the tough early bloons like pinks, whites, and zebras, will do a lot more damage. her splash damage will affect the weaker bloons surrounding them. and strong targetting makes her target moabs for mid - late game so she can properly use her very high moab DPS.
Sauda or 1-0-1 ninja>Benjamin or even Geraldo since he has the potions
I believe they are better in ABR since if you're going to use an early game hero that doesn't have much use mid game then I think it's kind of meh
@@AshenPlayer ezili’s moab damage is very high. and she de-fortifies most of the ceramics from ~57-78. + moab hex is very good which you get around round 60. and sacrificial totem gives very nice buffs.
@@aydenator2770 not to mention the fact that she boosts zombie bloons popping power and shes also able to activate elite defender/bomb blitz by placing her totem. Ezili is the PURRRRFECT hero for abr. (and yes im using cat ezili skin why do u ask)
I dunno she attacks really slowly
people underlook her main attack, it's actually dealing over 60 damage per second to moabs, which is incredibly strong at just level 8, and it only gets stronger from there.
The best pro of Quincy is that nothing gets past his bow.

At 1:22 the bullet point says Brickell is “Amphibious” but she’s actually Aquatic. The only amphibious tower is Pat (and the turtle agent from btd5 I guess)

I feel like Adora's super underrated mostly because players use her wrong. I think A is a great spot for her overall, but the thing is, everyone always thinks you HAVE to sacrifice thousands of coins to level her up otherwise she'll be terrible, when that's really not the case. In fact I'd argue you shouldn't use her sacrifice at all until you're buffing Sun God with it. You can't just toss a Tier 5 tower's worth of money at a Hero and expect them to outperform that Tier 5 tower. Adora works best when focusing on her efficiency, synergizing with Ninja/Alch and letting that combo carry you until you farm enough money to pivot into a late-game defense. She might have a "weak" midgame and level slowly, but that's not the Achilles Heel people pretend it is. I think Sauda and Geraldo (technically) are the only heroes capable of surviving mid-game by themselves, every other Hero needs 5+ tower strategies to work in mid-game, but Adora needs 2 and suddenly she's underpowered? Doesn't make any sense.
Her lategame is weak, those 2 towers can survive mid game without her and spending 30k on your hero so they can be what is basically a mediocre dps option really isn’t very good. Plus no Camo or purple at any level.
People don’t “pretend” adora has a weak mid game, they know she doesn’t have one at all. She basically doesn’t get any significant power boost between lvl 10 and 20, making her extremely subpar outside of early. Plus farming isn’t available in chimps and if I wanted to farm outside of it I’d use Ben
@Taco Town in chimps adora is bad. But in any other game mode for the most part including easier maps. Adora literally claps rounds by herself with ease.
im so disappointed with the placement of obyn imo he is an easy s tier but maybe cuz he is my favourite hero but still the druid strat is so good you just can put him in f atleast give him a b specially considering his early game makes life very easy
In battles he's pretty good my build in battles 2 is pure magic
He does have a good early game, and for druid strats I do always go him, but outside of that he is just outclassed.
However, I dont think there are any F tier heroes in the game, and Obyn should go bottom of C tier.

I don’t think any hero should be in f tier. All heros have some use and synergy and obyn synergies with druids making chimps very easy on most maps
Yeah, I have over 30 Black Borders. And Ive used a lot of different strats on CHIMPS (so far have used ETN, Quincy, Suada, Brickell, Pat, Gwen and Obynn). So Ive employed a bunch of various strats, and there are some that only way Ive beaten CHIMPS is Obyn+Druids. That should mean something
@@jamesknapp64 No offense, but the obyn druid spam strat isnt even the best strat on any map. So the reason it was the only way for you to beat a map is likely just because you understand the druid strat and know how to use it, and dont know how to use an other strat yet. Which isnt a bad thing of course but i am confident that when you play the game for a longer period of time and get to know the other possible strats and hero combinations that you will understand why obyn is arguably the worst hero in the game right now :)

So Admiral Brickwell used on those maps is literally a worse hero because you have to spend monkey money or a power to literally get her. At least you can place Obyn and the others on all of the maps.

Mf put our boy Greenfoot in F tier - and I couldn't disagree more. If any hero should go in F, I'd say maybe Churchill and that's only because he literally has no use compared to any other dps hero rn.

obyn was destroyed by the nerfs, he doesn't slow moabs by 60% anymore, get over it, this is not pre-16.0 anymore. obyn is bad and outclassed by other stratagies. he just doesn't have a real niche in the game's meta anymore
Obyn is like Benjamin, he is purely suport , so Obyn is basically obliged to use druids to do damage when Churchill is just a very,very good dps hero ( even capable of soloing round 100. )

I feel like the buff to PoD for 50% pierce by ezili deserves a mention. It makes one of the most viable towers even much stronger, and PoD's main problem is bads and r97 for example, ezili's moab hex really works with it incredibly well.
It’s not entirely 50%, the description isn’t accurate. Ezili does give a 50% pierce increase to moabs and BFBs (+10 and +25) but the undead bloon pierce is to a variable number between 2-11 pierce, so the +1 pierce ezili gives to those isn’t a 50% buff except for the weakest bloons.

It has, if I’m correct, 24 charges, and thus at max could one shot up to 24 zomg’s or bfbs if used correctly. Overall an extremely strong ability, nearly as good as etienne’ s ucav, just not as easy to use
Quincy is actually pretty good in half cash because he covers all bases. He is cheap, has Moab damage, good range, fast leveling, level 10 is insane in grouped and close deaths because of full map range, has an okay lead popping if you target, level 3 is good with moabs like on round 40 where you can save by not buying a mauler, has camo, and is cheap yet again. As long as you get good balloon popping power and anti ddt defense he is an amazing hero.

In all seriousness, I kind of get why he said that. I usually say "not to be biased" if what I'll be saying might be divisive. But in his case, it was kind of unnecessary.

7:12 best strat in the game currently is geraldo snipers (every chimps can be beaten with it, yes even ravine, bloody, ouch, workshop...)

tbh most map's difficulties comes from number of lanes and their lenghs, which are just nullified by snipers
I know she's not actually bad (I just used her in Mesa chimps in fact) but Gwendolyn is so infuriating at times. She NEVER throws the cocktail of fire in the right spot. I needed insanely good timing to get her to throw it on the correct lane in many early game rounds which makes it so luck dependent how strong she is.
Ah yes. RNG and a game mode where a single life costs you the game don't exactly mix well :V
The RNG of the cocktail pisses me off, sometimes you need to pre-emptively use it on R40 to destroy the MOAB but then the RNG just cucks you which is a shame because shes one of my preferred heroes but being at the mercy of RNG isn't fun on a game like BTD6
Wait the minute, isn't ninjakiwi buff her cocktail to targeting on her current targeting options? I use her ability while there a target in her range, and she never misses that target except that a pink. Obyn got the same rework too and the only time they throw at random is when there are no target in their range. 🤔
@@cuongleuc2167 that's basically correct. Which means you can sometimes avoid any rng with good timing. The problem is that:
1) that can be hard to do. For example try using it to beat the first wave of round 36.
2) it's usually very bad against moabs. If I were to do that on round 40, she would throw the fire near the back of the moab which means it completely misses the ceramics that pop out of it.
They're adding cleansing foam esque targeting to her next update!
Obyn is consider cheap for hero and has very decent popping for early stages. Its druid buff is also very good so it's not fair to put him in F tier at all.
druid strat is outclassed and his earlygame is outclassed by psi, quincy and just straight up dart monkeys.
All I need to say to make this tier list crumble is avatar of wrath. Seriously obyn in f tier? Literally free black borders everywhere. All beginner and intermediate maps, and quite a few advanced maps and dark castle literally are ruined by obyn and avatar of wrath
I was about to make a similar comment myself glad someone else realized that it was weird. I would have put him in B at least maybe A
so many strategies work on those maps, just because obyn has one strategy that works on them doesn't mean he is good

don't forget that Ezeli + bottom path wizard is a crazy combo with her level 11 giving undead bloons 50% more pierce
She is very strong, primarily because hex is busted. Insane ability, great synergies. Also, that lvl 11 ability only buffs the zombie BLOONS, not the zombie moabs of bfbs, which is where most of the damage on pod comes from

appreciate the fact you put striker jones in s tier, he is really underrated: the bomb spam strat is one if not the best strat in the game and it's only real downside is that it takes a lot of space. However i have to disagree oh Obynn, the druid spam strat is still very good and imo he is b tier (would put quincy in f tier instead as the worst hero)
Imo Quincy gets so much hate just because he can't consistently pop yellows and pinks. Quincy levels fast, can pop leads and camos, (with enough levels) has amazing abilities, and does the most damage to moabs than any other hero. The ddt issue is easily solved by a 230 village, which you would probably need to buy for games like chimps anyways. Quincy is a tier at the least imo, and azili is the worst, besause she isn't useable until Freeplay and even then she is heavily micro dependent.

A cool way I'd like to see Geraldo nerfed is by putting him on the Adora/Churchill leveling up tier.
The problem with churchill and Gwendolyn is that they REALLY suffer on tracks where they can't be put in a place where they can't shoot down a straight line to maximize their pierce and damage potentials, much like a juggernaut and dartling gunner, I've seen way too many situations that their damage potential incredibly bombs. As their projectiles would just pierce some targets, fly into the distance and waste so much damage by hitting nothing else.
churchill doesnt need straight lines, stop believing lies. gwendolyn is a support hero so i dont know why you'd think she needs straight lines,

the fact that quincy isnt even s tier at least speaks volumes to how little hbomb knows about the game. everybody knows that nothing gets past his bow, therefore making him the best hero in btd6

Did you know that all beginner maps and intermediate maps are free regardless of sauda? For the vast majority of them, you just Quincy ninja alch Apache prime win. Or you could Geraldo snipers if ur feeling fancy. Sauda does not “get” you 40 free black borders, cuz Quincy can do it for free.

When you put Obyn into F despite the pros and cons you mentioned; and compare that to other heroes' pros and cons, I am starting to think this might be a satire or something.
No obyn is really bad overall, that’s the one thing hbomb got right. Otherwise, hbomb isn’t that good at ranking these heroes
Another great thing about Geraldo and Gwen, they synergyze well together in co-op, as the rejuv potion and Gwen level 10 ability work amazing together on r98 as I accidentally found out last week
You must have been playing on logs because gwen lvl10 is the absolute worst hero ability in the game currently…

I'm glad Geraldo was my first hero, now when I bought all of them he still remains my favourite for cheap deffence so you can farm some money meanwhile.

He’s not that useful for cheap defense as you think. Yes he’s good but for example his normal mael ability which seems on the surface rather op for its cheap cost is actually less efficient to use than a normal mael if your gonna use it more than one time
The turrets are rather meh as boomerang is better early game. Really I think sharping stone is the only broken op thing about him
@@Name-ru1kt Now after update it's not as op as it used to, though the turret with targetting set to last is a good cheap early game deffence, so you can focus on other things. 0-2-2 lingering magic MK wizard monkey is also a really good early game deffence, it can solo a lot of rounds, it just needs something to pop the purples (for example 1-0-0 ninja set to strong)
Obyn does not deserve f tier. My only complaint was that obyn was in f tier when he is great early to mid game and has a low cost

I’m actually waiting until the Geraldo nerf to use him in difficult modes like CHIMPS because it almost feels like cheese to have stuff such as mini smaels for 500 doubloons

@@layers3458 cuz you pay him for items to help win the game, also recent nerfs are good, nothing crazy but it didn’t have to be, limitations like glue disappearing much faster and sharp rock not being forever are great changes that make it feel so much more like strategizing rather than hmm I perma buff sniper for 300 coins yes good

Obyn is a lot higher than F. Very easy early game on a lot of maps. Wall of trees comes in very clutch mid game. The only thing he doesn't really cover is the late game but you can save up for some decent stuff before late game hits especially with wall of trees letting you to just keep on saving up.
wall of trees doesn't give extra cash in chimps, his earlygame is outclassed by quincy and geraldo, his midgame is also outclassed by quincy, and his buffs don't have any good synergies and are outclassed by other heroes
putting obyn in F because "there are other strategies that are better" while also putting ezili above F purely because of an extremely impractical, gimmicky strategy is just, what?
Because hex is powerful when used properly. Ur just bad for not being good enough to use it properly
i personally like obyn, he can easily carry you to round 20 on single lane maps while you save money for other monkeys

Obyn may be weak in terms of dps in late game and to moabs in general but his buffs to magic monkeys and especially druid make him insanely good, in my opinion he's a S tier to me.
edit: also him being able to slow down bloons and then moab class bloons at later levels is pretty good too

Druid strat is terrible and completely outclassed
If you think about it obyn's buffs are comparatively weak to jones's, brickell's, gwen's, and geraldo's (the druid buffs aren't bad though just not amazing). His brambles, like Hbomb said, is basically only useful for early camo. With his pretty average dps in early to mid game and trash in late game, it is a bit more understandable for why he put obyn in F-tier. My personal opinion is high D - low C because his synergy with some good strats and his wall of trees being a decent moneymaker isn't worth obyn being in F tier. I DO agree that obyn is the worst hero however.

Churchill I think is A. Cost is high but there are ways to save up even on expert chimps and he does insane amounts of damage while being able to pop every bloon type and destroy dense rounds like 63 and 76 with his level 3 down a straight line
To me it's amazing how strong the early Churchill levels are at dealing with midgame. Like, what other hero can compare to Churchill at as early as level 6? And then moab strike is solid. At later levels he gets a lot stronger but he doesn't *need* those levels to do something in some cases.
And I suppose the slow leveling speed makes the cost less annoying to deal with, since if you get him up late, at least you're not losing too many potential levels.

It's possible to win chimps with just geraldo on some maps with flame spirit spam on turrets, just use genie for DDTs and Reinforced DDTs and BAD. Other than that, Geraldo's fire spirit spam along with his bunnies and spam of nails and spinning blades, you can solo with no other tower buffs.
Geraldo is one of two heros i havnt unlocked yet just cause all his mechanics and such with his shop seems a bit overwhelming at a glance
yeah. He’s really good, but the problem is if you use Geraldo, then your strat is a Geraldo start. You can’t just use him for passive help

I'd put Obyn above Quincy. Quincy doesn't have THAT much more dps in late game to make him worth using and Obyn actually has a passive utility to buff other magic monkeys, applying more dps to them than Quincy ever could by himself.
Quincy 1. Has better early because he can be placed starting, and 2. Quincy has more than 4x more dps lategame than obyn, plus has better abilities. Plus druids are overall very subpar and don’t work on any true expert map

I could see how you can put obyn in F tier despite how harsh that ranking was but I'd put him over quincy just because of the utility alone and I could see why gwen would be a B but my biggest struggle is early game and gwen saves me with that level 3 and level 10 SHREDS r63 and the buff always comes when I need it most and saves my life
quincy does a lot more than obyn. 1, he can be placed down round 1, which gives him an earlygame use case on maps like muddles, bluddles, infernal and even sanctuary. 2, his lategame damage is nothing to laugh at, with lvl 3 active he can do a lot of damage and clean up with lvl 10. plus fast leveling. and 3, finally, his midgame anti moab capability is really, really good, being easily as strong as obyn's wall of trees midgame

ezili is gonna be OP in BTDB2. that game basically ends when FBADs are introduced, you only need to save up money. Ezili can one shot every single FBAD given in 25 seconds(if she is level 20, you you may have to put in some money). she can also be used BEAUTIFULLY with Bomb blitz and elite defender. I can already see the loadout bomb, sniper, spike/super. ezili placed up front on strong, and most defense at the back

Pat has a +1 damage buff that can affect all monkeys around him (albeit in a short range) from as early as level 3, and gets even better later on. Then he has the slaps to stun moabs and the squeeze for big moab rounds. So he's crazy good. I've never been too big of a fan of Pat personally, but he's certainly one of the best heroes
Admiral Brickell actually has the best late game of any hero just because if you make a sun temple on artic wind and sell it, it becomes a water tower and can gain double attack speed from her low cooldown ability.

Overall great tierlist! I'm not sure that I would've put some of the heroes in the same place, but in general I agree with it. I was a bit surprised by Obyn, I guess I simply haven't used the other buffing heroes that much. Most of my chimps games have either relied on psi or quincy, after all, and I haven't touched the hardest maps yet.

Her late game damage is subpar on every map above intermediate. Her only use case is hyper earlygame, but otherwise her low range really holds her back. Plus she got hit hard by nerfs, and her late game damage is much worse now.

Obyn is one of the best heroes in the game. And his wall off trees also does a lot of late game damage. My mom and I love playing with obyn!
Obyn is terrible. His buffs are completely outclassed, his abilities are very weak, and his attack force is near nonexistent.

Obyn’s buff is +3 pierce to druids and +2 to other magic monkeys. This is an unbelievably weak buff that is only useful on one tower, avatar of wrath. Aow is a mediocre strategy that is heavily outclassed and has little to no viability on difficult advanced and expert maps.

Honestly, Brickell should be at least A tier. Sure, her revolver is pitiful at killing Bloons, but her revolver isn't her focal point. If you know when to use her abilities, she can save runs. I've done countless CHIMPS runs with her, and you can too, if you follow a few easy steps.
1) Don't place Brickell at the edge of a large pool of water. You're neutering her usefulness if you do, because Naval Tactics and her other buffs, such as 8th level camo detection only work in water.
2) Don't use bottom-path buccaneer around her. Again, you're neutering usefulness. In fact, don't use any water towers in support paths around her. She is designed to help water towers that deal tons of damage in a short amount of time.
3) Place a village at the edge of the water, with Jungle Drums, for increased effectiveness. Brickell and top-path village is a ludicrously good team.
4) Use Naval Tactics only as a panic button, on rounds where you know that a bloon rush is going to happen, such as 63 or even 90.
5) Mega Mine explosions cover the whole screen, and can also vaporize non-fortified DDTs, and also fortified ones at level 18, so if a few of them sneak past and a BFB or ZOMG is approaching, don't worry. Just place the mines near the ZOMG and watch the DDTs get turned into ash.
6) Place as many Mega Mines as you can. It doesn't matter where you put them since they kill the whole screen, and they don't have a footprint like other towers. Place one the instant it gets off cooldown.
1:21 slight correction here. amphibious is incorrect since "amphi" means 2 and "bios" life. which is used to indicate some animal can live both under water and on land.

my man really put quincy above obyn. obyn is one of the easiest starts to beat dark castle chimps, and is great overall.
druid strat, 1. needs pspike to beat dark castle chimps, and 2. Dark castle chimps is pretty much the last map you can do with druid strat. on every other map other heroes are better. plus, obyn's stratagies are overall outclassed. he's really not that good. quincy is pretty good, kinda like sauda but with real usage: good for earlygame on infernal, muddles, and bluddles, while also contributing some helpful lategame damage with his powerful moab damage and strong abilities

Obyn is NOT F Tier, no way. He makes early rounds pretty damn easy, and his Druid strat is super good. Yeah it's replaceable but it's ol' reliable.
Edit: not to add, with Obyn you have your decent farming, you can buff a Super, Wizard, Druid, Ninja or Alch pretty damn decently. With Striker, you have a stun and you can buff bombs and mortars. Obyn can make money and buff 5 different towers, that's amazing compared to a stun and buffing 2 towers.
There's a reason why Striker Mauler spam has been nerfed 6 times over the last 10 updates in the last 2 years while STILL being very relevant. It's the most consistent true expert black border strategy available ever since its discovery in version 18.0. Unfortunately, that same update also nerfed how Obyn buffs non-druid magic towers, which kinda rotated him out of the metagame. Not being meta doesn't mean he's bad, he just doesn't perform as consistently as other heroes.
Being able to buff more potential towers doesnt mean much when he is heavily outclassed by Pat with magic monkeys, and only marginally better with druids compared to Pat or Gwen. Striker has absolutely no competition. The only thing Obyn does reliably is being reliably bad.
