Sojourn took every strength widow has without any of the counter play. She had better mobility. Better close range gameplay. Area control/denial with her E. And an ult that actually allows you to have an effect on a team fight besides just gaining information prior to the fight.
@@armando5994this is basically the summary of every new character that comes out. All the new characters get a combination of older characters kit, so there’s never reason to play older characters as they’re usually worse in someway.
After i watch a Kenzo or Arrge Video it always inspires me to hop on and i end up either dominating or i get rolled .. like 80/20 (80 Getting Rolled).. 😂. Keep up the great work Kenzo cant wait to see videos come out next
There are lot of good ideas already for a rework but blizzard don't care about it. That's a shame. I'm pretty fan of this one : - Railgun has a huge fall off : You need to be close to deals damage, but can't do anything long range. - Railgun alt fire has reverse falloff : The further you are from your target, higher the damage. (and almost no damage at close rang). - Railgun doesn't charge the power of the alt fire. It gives charges, up to 5. You need 1 charge to fire 1 laser. - Disruptor shot (E), doesn't damage anymore, It has a wider AE, stills slows, and gives 1 charge/sec per ennemy hit. - Ult remains essentially strong, giving charges on time. Gameplay is essentially using your slide ability to get close or far from your target in order to optimize your primary and alt fire. But your orb allows you to stay safe by giving charge without being at close range.
Yeah, these montage videos paint a false picture of how the game really plays out. Anyone can make a montage of epic-looking clips if they just play long enough. Even Kenzo gets owned, it's just not in the video cus' that part isn't epic :P
I think sojourn is a good hero and should be one of the strongest bc she requires skill and has a lot of playmaking potential. If they just tuned her railgun down a bit rather than buffing it she would have been perfectly fine
If she requires a lot of skill then why is she so easy to dominate with? Yeah you need to be able to aim a bit but her kit is so forgiving it doesn't even matter if you miss a lot of shots

If they made it to where she could only use railgun when she has high charge then her burst damage combo would actually be predictable and have counterplay. As it currently stands basically any 1v1 is heavily favored for sojourn because she consistently has more burst damage than most other characters all you have to do is aim
They don't understand how to make sojourn approachable for low ranks to even be good at sojourn is because of the railgun instead of gutting railgun and making her spread not so ugly just keep buffing the one thing most low rank people can't hit
not gonna lie I just find it so sad how broken nano sojoum ult is compared to nano blade, infinite range nano blade with one shot body shot that kills through any healing, vs nano blade that can't kill through defenseive ult and if you miss a single dash slash combo you can't kill through normal healing...
So they see that she is most used in top 500, they know she is insta kill with mercy boost and nano boost, they they refuse to lower the damage of her railgun

An idea, make railgun have midrange falloff, and make it so that shot hitbox is large at very close range and reduces over greater distances. Also remove headshot capability. Makes her less viable longer range, while the shots are easier to land within her range. Lack of headshot to compensate for higher skilled players who play like that anyway.

Railgun Alt Fire - Her dmg should be slightly reduced from 130 --> 110 - Her charge-up should be reduced by 35% - Her charge-up is reduced by 55% when shooting shields (this is including the already reducted 35%) - Fall off range reduced from 40 - 60 meters ----> 35 -- 55 meters (this will obviously force the sojourn to actually challenge the opposing team rather than shooting shields for free charge.) Overclock - Her ult charge-up should be reduced from 1s ---> 1.45s Railgun - Her base damage should slightly be buffed from her secondary nerf. Damage: 9 --> 11 Power Slider - Max-Range going from ~16m ---> ~20m - Cooldown from 7s ---> 6s This is just my thoughts, what do I know. I'm a Silver 2 dps player lol
She really is. I never play her just cause she didn't appeal to me. Grabbed her one game reluctantly just to test her out randomly. Dropped over 40 kills in about a 15-20 kill average game. The characters too busted
If youre one that thinks soj aint busted, ask yourself.. if that was widowmaker running around as sojourn re skinned as a completely new widow remake for ow2.. tell me the community wouldnt be screaming widow is ruining the game.

There are lot of good ideas already for a rework but blizzard don't care about it. That's a shame.
I'm pretty fan of this one :

We've been needing her nerfed for the longest...it never came...
yeah, yesterday got an 80 kills game with 70 final blows. Never done something like this on another character.
Also being pocketed, nano boosted and playing in a party does add to the brokenness
