Really proud of this team. By even taking 1 game off of GenG, they did the unthinkable. NA has been the laughing stock of the pro scene for years, and rightly so. But I hope this performance shows that NA (and and the west, in general) can go toe to toe with the best. These 5 should keep their heads held high. I hope FLY keeps this roster for next year. There have been rumors already circling that 1 player will be cut but after beating a team like GEN, I hope their org reconsiders keeping the roster. They played so well together and don't forget this team literally just started playing each other this year beating GEN twice is something FLY and the rest of NA should be proud of.

Who wouldn't feel proud of them. Quite literally every single person, commentator, content creator and their grandma expected without a shadow of a doubt a 3-0 for GenG in one of the most 1-sided Quarterfinals in League history. Instead we got to experience a world where an NA team almost beat one of the favorites to win Worlds and not in a "oh the games were close" but it was a 3-0 anyways. It was a 3-2 with FlyQuest leading the series 2-1. It was NOT FlyQuest but GenG climbing their way back into the series and having to force game 5. Regardless of the result that is a monumental upset and reveals many cracks within GenG's play. People were/are expecting GenG to stomp T1 but I didn't before and even more so now I don't expect GenG to be favored in this semifinals vs T1. Not disparaging Fly in anyway but if GenG is supposedly one of the "favorites to win and breeze to the finals" as just about every commentator and content creator is saying then why did they look so weak and struggle to beat FlyQuest? Props to Fly for playing so well absolutely, but this is not what anyone expected to happen. At best people thought GenG might drop 1 game.

Its not even a debate that NA has been doing better than EU in the last two years at worlds. EU can't be a one-team region. G2 needs teams to level them up or we need a way for the west to scrim each other maybe do some NA VS EU mini tournaments or something between the top teams so the west as a whole can level up.
