Yes you can, as long as you’re using food safe glaze and there’s no crazing or cracks in the glaze once fired. I suggest using a stoneware clay with a food safe stoneware glaze (the glaze should indicate whether it’s harmful or safe) and then fired to the correct stoneware temperature (the glaze should also indicate the temperature or cone it must fire to). Hi! You don’t need much to start - you can just start with some clay and use some house hold objects to help as tools (such as a fork, spoon, knife, toothpick etc.). If you are using air dry clay make sure to use a food safe one for things like mugs and bowls etc. (And make sure to use a food safe sealant as well!). If you are using normal clay (such as stoneware or earthenware) it will need to be fired in a kiln - try find a firing service near you. Hope this helps!
