So many of the greats are gone now. Glad to know Dick Cavett is still going strong at age 85.
I love Rickles coming back with a stiff counter punch right off the bat. "Ah, no one sees this anyway..." Boom. Caveat was in much deeper water than he is used to.

Nobody could crack hosts up like Rickles, he was one of a kind…….
I only wish Don would have opened up, said what he really felt. Introverts, what can you say....He mentions a theater in San Carlos, CA too That was the Circle Star.Every major performing arts star played there. You could see the marquee from the highway lit up with just about every major star from the Vegas, Motown and everything in between. Now it's a business park with a giant LCD billboard for all sorts of ads, shows etc. Sigh.
Don Rickles was a rare comedian, and so funny. I remember Dick Cavett from back when I was a child.
Don never returned to this program and I understand why.

Funny thing with Don is this, he always says to some one..I never liked you. everyone laughs but the funny thing is he might actually mean it with some one and no one would ever know.

I don’t think Don Rickles ever disliked anybody I just think that he was just terrific I try to watch everything on UA-cam about him I’m 83 years old and Dean Martin and all those entertainers at that time were so clean in comparison today
Who could ever replace Foster Brooks Jack Benny Bob Hope Nipsey Russell this generation has missed so much humor and I feel sorry for them now all we get on television is hatred and everybody is into this religion and all it does is separate people we are all people all human beans no matter what color how tall how short we have lost the love and the humor that would help us so much instead of thinking of hatred or slapping people at the Oscars or calling people of color bad names and trying to get rid of people instead of embracing the human race just very very sad
