Mission Creek overflows at Santa Barbara Botanic Garden in California!
The creator of the video posted this on social media. "Across California, we hope everyone is staying safe. Please remain diligent as Flash Flood Warnings remain in effect. Currently, the National Weather Service has extended the Flash Flood Warning through midnight for Southern Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
The ongoing safety of our guests and staff is our top priority. We have walked the grounds this afternoon and continue to assess conditions. The heavy rainfall has created a captivating sight, as water from Mission Creek cascades over the historic dam. This area is typically accessible by foot and frequented by visitors. However, thanks to the work of our grounds crew and volunteers, trails and areas along the creek are holding up and there is no damage to the Garden.
We encourage everyone to stay safe and dry during this time! Be sure to check back in the morning for an update on our reopening.."
