Thats brilliant, but its an "old style" overflow I have that style in my tank, means that You have big drop of level when pump is off and big rise of level when the pump is on and the speed of flow general is low. To upgrade it, You have put Your intake tube of overflow to bigger tube, plugged from bottom and make skimmer flow from top. Then You will see the difference... but its a safe overflow, because when the pump is off for a long time and the plug in the bigger tube is leaking, then the level will drop as in Your "system" cheers
Hi sir great inovation I have question to ask. Can contect long pipe to the bottom because I saw your stuff next to each other so thought let's give a try.
www.sgplumbing.sg/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/img_7610.jpg This was original use for sink drainage. but i found that it have the function for over flow too.
@@UncleTay-Amdus if I were to google this to buy in line. What term would I use? Euro sink drain?. Like, what's the name of that container at the bottom of the sink drain ?
Thanks Uncle Tay. I seen you replied with that picture to other people. I haven't found it in canada yet. But I will. Thanks for the video. I'm going to build this for my 125g saltwater.
if you only have the bottle trap on one side then put it in a container of water would it drain the water from container thats if you don't pump water back into container... To improve this it would be a whole lot better if you put the bottle trap leveled on both ends of overflow thus resulting in a tank or container having the same water level all the tim in you tank or container no drainage until water is pumped back. A continuous cycling system... what I like to do is have four 20 gall tanks side by side and connect it with overflows and have a pump on the end cycling water back around to the beginning first tank. And have one heater being cycled throughout the whole system. Best breeding idea for self. Please don't share secret
Not sure which you are referring to. one end is a cap, the other end is battle trap(this is use for sink). www.sgplumbing.sg/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/img_7610.jpg
Ah ok I think you remove the cap once in position and after filling the system with water. I guess you can also do with your hand without cap. By the way if this works for me, much better, faster, cheaper and smaller than any other overflow system I've seen, congrats. good job and thank you for sharing
It never breaks siphon. That's amazing.

tq
Where did you get the bottle trap?, I tried your posted links and home supply stores without success.
maybe you can search for sink trap.
Is it the same as the American P-trap system ? We don't have bottle trap in our country due to building code
not the same

How can?
I can’t find the bottle trap in Canada is there anything I can use to replace it?
hi what you use under the sink in Canada.
www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B08LMNS5P4/ref=mp_s_a_1_38?ie=UTF8&qid=1605246699&sr=1-38&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65
Up grad this by use bottle traps on both sides so you don't get a siphoned effect...
How much flow can this setup support?
my test was using a 1800L Pump. i think 3000L should be ok.
Yea was now about to ask that same question. Also what pipe size?
25mm
Water next to the electrical outlet, now that's Shocking!
Did we find out what this trap is called yet. I cannot find it online.
Bottle Trap. is used under the sink. www.sgplumbing.sg/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/img_7610.jpg

Maybe you should just buy a ready made system. You need a little know how to DIY otherwise it will just cause a disaster.
