Your videos are oddly addicting, Tom. I just got back into ham radio after over 25 years and watching your videos makes me want to give POTA/SOTA a try as an activator. I suppose I need to buy some equipment first, though. :-) For now I set up an RBN alert for your callsign so I can give you a call if your call is heard here in Europe and I'm over at the club station! Thank you, Rick. It would be brilliant to work you as a hunter/chaser or activator!
Hi, Thomas. You certainly live in an area of great beauty! While it's a tad cooler around the Granite State, we will be warming up soon enough so I can get out and do some activations. Just FYI, the lead holder you like to use is properly termed a "lead clutch". Back when I was in drafting this was the primary tool of drafters, along with a large tilting drawing board and a t-square. I enjoyed that very much and learned a lot before CAD systems came along. Good remember when.
Best and 73,

Thank you, Marc! Noted. I got a taste of proper drafting via a drafting class I took (and loved) in High School. Those sponge erasers, triangles, templates, T-squares...I loved all of that. :)
Another great video about the KX2. I wish someone would do a video on how to use the KX2 frequency memory editor. Did not know that elecraft even had this capability. If you get bored on a rainy day and are stuck in the shack?
Yes I must agree with you Thomas, Steve's M0SAW antenna is fantastic and he is such a lovely guy too! Ive used mine a lot whilst portable. Good on you for the trash collecting. Looking forward to our P2P accross the pond at some point! 73, Lee.
I love that ABR cable. It works perfectly. 73, KD9SOK
