My grandfather was a tanker. He fought in 1965 in kashmir. His independent squadron had Stuart m5s and my father is a tanker too. Having T-55s and later upgrading to T-72s. Proud of them and the entire panzerwaffe

But ultimately he got defeated in 2nd battle of El-Alamein by the British.
@@Napolean-mt3ms the ratio of the Allies and the Axis was....1\4 approximately...in the fierce battle of Elalamin.....and reinforcement never reach....again due to the total domince of Madetarrinain Sea by the Allies.... depletion of arms and ammunition....ration... were the reason of his defeat.... If the situation was one on one....the British has had no chance at all...

@@Napolean-mt3ms FYI my grandfather was a British Indian Army......in the northeast part of India .... Imperial Japanese Army imprisoned them but was liberated by Subhash Chandra Bose..... forming Azad Hind Fauge or Indian National Army.....but they were defeated in the battle of Kohima.....we still preserve all the military decorations..like 7madels citations...etc.....it's always interesting to learn History..🙏

One mistake you made. Centurion tank was not nicknamed Patton killer. Actually it was the 105 field gun. My father is a retired Indian army officer and he had seen action in 1965 and 1971 horse and had been awarded gallantry award for his outstanding and brave actions.

I think it was L7 gun of centurion tank that able to penetrate Patton armour. Americans realised it after 65 war.
no no. It was British L7 105 mm Gun not howitzer to be specific. Howitzer is a different Gun. Centurion used L7

India should focus more on Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM) now..even the top class ATGMs cost less than a tank but can destroy one easily...

@@soumyadipmukherjee6627 No, Our T-90s don't even have the Shtora-1 protection system, but honestly it's completely useless against even 3rd gen ATGMs, let alone 4th gen ATGMs. No matter what APS you put in the T-90, the Russian Tanks use Autoloaders which store Ammo right beneath the Turret inside the Hull, directly over which the Crew is seated. So, whenever an Enemy ATGM or HEAT round hits a T-72 or T-90, the Turret flies off & the crew gets roasted to death. We need to replace the outdated T-72 & T-90 with the Zorawar Light Tank & The Arjun Main Battle Tank by 2040.

Centurion tank commander idk name but he was one of the legend he destroyed 69 chinese type tanks with only 1 tank because 3 tanks was in repairing but such a brave commander and crew
Indian army also got post WW2 made Sherman's by US like M4A3E8 .
Centurion tank was only tank capable to handle M47 Patton tank but Patton tanks were much superior than our tanks in gun range,optics , night fighting capabilities, armour , speed ( It was due to our gunners superior skills we destroyed many Patton tanks ).
Indian army also had 2 PT-76 tank regiments but didn't use it because of cautiousness as they were very new .
You sure we used Easy eights? I think we got standard issue of 75mm short barrel M4 Sherman. Not the 76mm ones
We are having 2nd generation Tanks while China, US, European countries developing 4th generation tanks

What is the meaning of "90" and "72" in T90 and T72 tanks?
Designed or successfully production started in that year like 1972 for T-72 these are specially for Soviet armour
T-34 (1934) T-44 T-54/55 etc

my favorite tank is TIGER E and TIGER H1
Both have very week top (less than 30 mm armor) easily exploited by simply throwing or dropping PTAB heat shells ( 2.5 kg & cheap ) . Then entire tank goes boom.
