2016 Hyundai Sonata problem

While driving down the highway, the warning lights start popping on and the speedometer quits. The air pressure in the tires are fine other than that there's nothing wrong with the vehicle. The car continues to run, however I do not know how fast I'm going.
Update: After taking the car to the dealership, they found that the oil pressure switch leaked oil into the wiring harness. The quote to fix it was $3,300! Oil pressure switch requires replacement.

We recently had this issue. It is the turbo vacuum pump. 1500 job by the dealership. We are getting rid of this trash as soon as we possibly can. However Hyundai’s do not hold any value so we are VERY deep in negative equity because of that

The front tire size did not match the rear. The wheel sensors could not calculate the speed of the car, so it would do this.

@@CraigTerrian Thank you so much! Did you end up changing all your tires to fix it?

@@maxkim5359 No. I just had to replace the front pair with the same size as the rear. All four tires have to be the same size because each wheel has a sensor for the computer to do travel calculations... ie trip in miles, gas mileage, and speedometer.

Peppermint I have almost the same problem the speedometer wasn’t moving, when I put the lights in auto wasn’t working, I couldn’t put the car in gear so I had to use the shift lock release in order to put the car in D, abs light came on with the break light and that warning light too, the driver side windshield wasn’t working and couldn’t lock the car with the remote, I have a Hyundai Sonata 2018 and they told me they order the vcm for the car.

Yeah, beware of some dealership's. I no longer have the Sonata, but it was a nice car.

Had that problem when I had my 2005 Sonata. Once I had the sensor changed the problem stopped…
