But drops of grief can ne’er repay
The debt of love I owe:

A very good congregational hymn to sing, a standard of the church that will stand the test of time!
Unlike the new songs, the older songs only dealt with one thing at a time. The new songs sound like confessional that try to dealt with everything all at once. The old hymns took one theme and reiterated that theme in the chorus. They were focused. The new songs have you asking is this song praise, worshio, what are we doing? Not all, of course, but many not them lack that thematic unity of the older hymns. Just my opinion.

This song and words really hit home what the CROSS really means... JESUS paid it in full for all who want to be saved... The road is broad for those who refuse it... Because they are blinded by Satan.... At the cross King Jesus said, it is finished when he gave up the ghost at the cross. And I'm so happy he chose me. 😢😂

I love old hyms, grew up on them. We have just new fandangled chorus' now a day people create during a heart burn. Some lyrics are good but they don't have much spirit behind them.
